Right, come on. Let's hear it. Who loved this game as a kid?
Had it on the N64 and could not get enough of it.
I traded Castlevania 64 in for this to Funcoland and got it new for the N64. I also got Chef's Luv Shack later. Was fun with the 4 player mode.
I love South park soooo
I played it once and then got a sick bug later that night. Might not have been related, but it’s not a good sign
Multiplayer is hilarious along with all the weapons
Trey Parker and Matt Stone weren't involved in making previous South Park games. Which is why their official map is different from this games map.
Trey and Matt actually did work on this title and was deeply involved just not as involved as the newer ones. The other games we're only featuring there voices but this 1st one was worked on closely for n64 which this is a port of.
The controls made more sense on the N64 as it was built with the Turok engine...but with extra fog. The C-Buttons did the movement and the analogue stick did the head movement
TO-ROCK!!!!
Tbh I didn't know it was on ps1
Turok and Turok 2 are such good games, I think Xbox has the remakes now
Oh boy here we go. Got my potato smileys and chicken dippers. We were out of baked beans though.
EvilestBadger 😁
I remember seeing this game at KB toys when I was in 5th grade and trying to talk my dad into buying it. He said no, but I did end up getting Conkers Bad Fur Day for the N64. So I think he made the right call for me.
It’s mature 17+, bruh.
So is conker 😂
South Park hasn't been hand animated since the Pilot. Their running joke was they've got the sort of computers that made the dinos in Jurassic Park making their show.
Silenthill Park, I remember this game
Hey guys, I'm away on military training and have very little wifi time. The time i do have I spend watching your new videos. Thanks for keeping my moral up and helping me get through this tough time.
damn that sucks have you considered not joining the army
I wish youtube and smart phones would have existed when i was in the Army back in the day.
Well i guess TECHNICALLY they were but i got out in 2007. Both youtube and smartphones were in their infancy and nothing like they are today.
@@mackinblack lol ya it can be a blessing and curse now :P
Thank you for your service
Matt and Trey hate the 3 South Park games that came out on PS1 aswell. That’s why it took until 2014 for Stick Of Truth to come out because they wanted to be involved in the process themselves to make sure it was a game they actually wanted.
10:52
the unmistakable sound of the sir digby chicken Caesar theme.
Hahaha underrated comment
At least we can say the South Park license recovered from this disaster considering how good the most recent games have been (Stick of Truth and Fractured But Whole.)
I remember my mom getting me this game as a young kid and I remember how bad I felt when I saw the look on her face when I told her I wanted to trade it in for another game. I knew it must’ve been bad if I was willing to do that.
I seem to remember the official Nintendo magazine giving the N64 version 90% when it came out. We all must've been easily pleased back in the 90's because I thought it was ace as well.
The turkeys sound like putties from power rangers
I loved this when I was a kid
I know this game is crap, but I spent so many hours on it! I’ll never get the turkey gobble out my head, though.
What I love about this Turok reskin (particularly noticeable on N64/PC) is how it retains the same head-bob and the way you stuck to ladders, the in-your-face fog and rendering artifacts, so you get that Turok feel only with shit-ugly South Park graphics and none of the diverse enemies, weapons and levels. Basically it feels like those old Doom mods where they just replaced the sprites with Ned Flanders or Bin Laden or whatever.
Really wish you guys would bring back the player cards instead of the player select. I loved those!
Even Matt Stone and Trey Parker hated this game
I love watching Peter gobble
I had forgotten about this horrible game. The turkey noise was a bit much for me.
Is Ben trumpeting Sir Digby Chicken Caesars's theme @10:53?
he certainly is.
i posted the same timestamp
I'm disappointed you two didn't come across the "secondary weapons." Like the Yellow Snowball.
Peter looking more like Low era Bowie more by the day.
The Fog was a result of both Graphical limitations, as well as there not being a legit map of the shows titular town until the more recent Stick of Truth title, (a game the actual show creators helped with).
Loved this on the N64 back in the day, especially the cow gun haha
I had this on the N64. I'm gonna be that one guy that says they didnt think it was that bad
Didn't own it, but I did borrow it from a friend myself. Sounds like the N64 version was the best of the bunch, and I remember having some fun with it. I do have to agree with them that the turkey noises got pretty annoying; remember having to turn down the volume after a while because it was grating on me.
Yeah I had this on N64 too and remember quite liking it.
I also had the N64 version of this and remembering actually enjoying playing it too!
The N64 version was actually worse than this one. It looked much worse and played much choppier and slower. The only thing it did better was controller mapping.
I played this game as a kid and laughed from the multiplayer side of it
"Im in the hole, I got inside the turkey" Not words I thought I'd hear today but ok...
Bought this when it came out on the N64 and convinced myself it was good at the time. This might have something to do with it costing about 4 months pocket money but deep down I knew it was terrible. Damn those cartridges were spenny.
I had this on N64 and played the hell out of it
Voltaire Slapadelic I love to singa about the moona and the tuna and the springa
Ben - "I don't want to look at this pink ring anymore."
Peter - "Neither do I but it's the game"
Me - "It's your job. Start questioning the life choices that brought you to this place!"
I remember being at a Gamestop, briefly considering buying this one. Thank you for letting me see what a fucking *bullet* I dodged by picking something else instead.
I can never tell if some of the bits and jokes that these to do together are negotiated before or are just improvised and I love it
I got this when I bought my first console (a PSOne) as an adult in December of 2000. Played for about 20 minutes and never again.
Holy turkeys what the eff was that?..... 😥 😲😵
What freaks me out is that those turkeys pre-date the cliff racers in Morrowind.
I was wondering where Ben went from what culture. I just subbed this show seems pretty cool keep it up guys
Wait, South Park in WGE? I played the hell out of that one when it came out and loved every second of it. ;)
Well, you're wrong. This game has always and will always be legitimately awful and it was never regarded as good by anyone.
@@the-NightStar I'm not saying it is or was good, just that I had a lot of fun playing it in '99 or 2000.
@@the-NightStar cringe
I actually loved playing multiplayer on this on the N64 version. I remembers my mates and I playing it for hours at a time!
can't believe iguana made this.... they were the ones who made the turok games, which were really good
Ya'll didn't even know about the secondary fire modes?
I remember having a lot of fun playing this game on the N64......
No you don't. You "remember" an intentional, delusional lie that your brain fed you to block out the memories of this game being so fucking awful.
@@the-NightStar man shut the fuck up
I fucking love you guys lol... Ben at the end resting his heading in exhaustion from a game he didn't even play lmmfao
My mom got me this game for n64 when I was 6 thinking it was for kids because they're cartoons and that's how I was introduced to South Park
I’m currently working my through Worst Games Ever, and I was just wondering if any of these videos have been taken down?
It’s just that the previous video, according to both the main list, and the Worst Games Ever playlist, was Charlie’s Angels, and had Peter in the role of Game’s Victim, which he also is in this episode; I thought I’d skipped a show, or something, but I’ve checked, and this is next one in the list.
I know sometimes record several episodes in a row, so wonder if they accidentally uploaded this one in the wrong order, or if something else had happened; it doesn’t really matter, I was just curious.
It was a fantastic episode, as per usual- the quality doesn’t dip on Worst Games Ever; I remember playing this South Park game when it came out, and I, unlike several others, who have commented that they used to love it, thought it sucked balls back then haha.
I started watching this channel 2 days ago and I watched the Charlies Angels video this morning.
As a big fan of both South Park and TripleJump, I am extremely disappointed that Ben and Peter have insulted me. SHAME ON YOU, YOUR ANCESTORS, AND THE WALRUSES. /sarcasm
Loved this game as a kid.
Hearing those turkey noises brings back soooo many memories of joy and furious rage. This was my older sisters game and I could never play it because of how hard it was so more often then not it’d get turned off in an angry huff lol (we were alowed to watch South Park as kids because we told our parents it’s a kids cartoon they fell for it !! 😂)
I can't believe I played this at the age of 5 and enjoyed it.
I do miss when these videos had 14 minute intros
I've been looking forward to this video
That episode where Peter became Ian Malcom and Ben became Peter.
I actually had fun with this one for about an hour or so when I first got it. Although I'm from the NES era, so I've very much learned how to manage my expectations when it comes to a licensed title, which helps a lot.
I just remember playing the multi-player with friends an the cow gun with a bfg pun
Any particular reason why the rolls didn't change from last episode to this one?
Cmon guys, don't you remember virtually 0 ps1 games used the right analog stick?
I only know of 3 or 4 fps games. The two Medal of Honor games, Alien Resurrection andI tnink Operation Delta Force.
Plenty of other games use analogue sticks though like Ape Escape and Gran Turismo with AE being the 1st PS1 game to only be playable with analogue sticks.
This was basically my childhood
"Cloaca" means "sewer" in spanish. Maybe that helps, maybe not.
I absolutely loved this game as a kid, although it's definitely bad looking back now. I'm just glad we finally got a couple good South Park games recently.
I remember this game for N64. I owned it and never got very far. Thanks guys!
90% sure this game used the same engine as the original Turok which actually makes me question the quality of that game more than this one
Are they really playing as Stan throwing snowballs or just Dwight from The Office? 😉
TV Show: Oh my god, they killed Kenny !
Here: Oh, Kenny was murdered.
just noticed kyles hat on the cartridge makes the green screen think its part of it
This was one of those games that I knew was crap at the time, but I still loved it. Totally forgot how God awful the controls were!
This was that period where the N64 devs ran out of gas and things took a turn for the shovel-ware.
I did actually love this game, although I had it on N64 so it must have been much better.
Actually the N64 game was worse. Your memories are lying to you. This game has always been bottom feeding shit.
Nope. Worse.
@@the-NightStar Not for nothing, but the N64 game was definitely better than the PS1 version. Controls were better, not nearly as many framerate dips, and better graphic quality. This isn't "memories lying to me" either, as I own both versions and can confirm this for myself... Not saying it was great or even particularly good, but there IS a reason why the 64 version was better reviewed.
I never played this...i played south park rally though and did in fact love it
Those turkeys sound like sir digby chicken ceaser
Ki3rans 99 THE ADVENTURES OF SIR DIGBY CHICKEN CEASER!!!!
On a lonely planet spinning its way toward damnation amid the fear and despair of a broken human race, who is left to fight for all that is good and pure and gets you smashed for under a fiver?
"Look at his butthole!" Austin, Peter. 2019.
Ryan's hat was keyed out on the box art
Somebody please send them South Park Ralley for PS1!!
Woahhhhhhh Peter doesn’t like South Park on the Reg ?????? GOOD DAMN IT TP
Plus this game got better as you got the better weapons ( cow gun, alien hypnosis gun, the Terrence and Phillip doll weapons) to name a few. Made the combat a lot more fun oh and the levels improved. I really unironically liked this game. Still fondly remember it 22 years later.
It's always cringe to watch someone play this game and not use the secondary fire function for every weapon
My primary school had an after school club thing where you could go on a Friday and hang out. They had a console you could play (iirc, it was the N64) but the only game they had was this one. Everyone had the same reaction. They were desperate to play it... until they actually did. Most kids wouldn't last 15 minutes before saying "fuck this shit, I'm out" and going off to do something else. It was quite amusing to watch.
Oh I remember getting this with pure excitement and joy, favorite TV show and a game surely its funny.
Then that sound, that sound, is that what a turkey sounds like???
I laughed at the yellow snow balls then never played it again.
I had the N64 version when I was 9 or so, I couldn't stand the turkey's either. And the fog was so unintentionally creepy...not a good game.
I've been meaning to comment this for a while, but keep forgetting because Worst Games Ever is so good I get distracted.
When the Master/Victim selection screen happens, when Ben is selected, there's one too many cursor movement sounds! Once seen can not be unseen
This game was a big leap for survival horror games, look at those turkeys.......the horror
I'd actually forgotten that I'd ever played this....Until I saw the game-play....and that noise......Then the nightmares returned. :'(
I bought it from WHSmith for the PC, it definitely came out over here
When this came out the right stick didnt really exist. I think doom on the ps 1 had the same set up
on ps1 controllers you had both or none
@@bzipoli i think i was late to the dual shock party
I loved this game as a kid playing it on ps1, altho I never got very far cuz the sound the turkeys made terrified me, I always considered it a horror game
The hardest part of this game was working out where tf to go
I rented this for N64 almost every week when I was younger, not sure why?
This game was fun...south park was huge at the time and literally all kinds of its merch sold out instantly..toys the tees plushes..i remember the cheatcode to unlock all characters is BOBBYBIRD. So many characters to play as in pvp modes..all with their own dialogue.
I loved Bens delivery of unending
I loved this game as a kid...
This one's a baddie... i remember it well
Looks like frontier elite 2 in a nutshell
I did love this game as a kid, but South Park was huge! I was 10 years old and there was a South Park FPS on N64!? We didn’t have anything else then..
I f****** loved this game growing up, throwing yellow snowballs at turkeys was the funniest shitt when I was younger
South Park is literally the best show on television
Can we talk about how IGN considers fuckin ACCLAIM to be a good publisher/developer?
It's so bad it's good. I enjoyed this game as a kid and even now actually 😂
I need that silent hill mod
Does Tiny Peter get to use the children price for his tiny haircuts?
If you think this is bad you guys should try South Park Rally on PS 1. 😬
well you did tell us to post you our tat in another life on another channel......lol
