    A tip for the lazy amongst us.
    If you don’t fancy threading maggots. Strip coating of the braid. Tie on a size 14/16 hook. Thread through the foam or floating corn. Put the hook inside the foam/bouyant corn.
    Tie up hair rig as normal. Now all you have to do is expose the point of the hook by sliding down the hair. Hook some maggots. Place back in the foam/bouyant corn - job done.
    But, great vid

    I think the most important thing carp fishing in winter is to try and fish well stocked fisheries. The thing I like most about winter fishing is most people stay indoors or fish for other species that means venues that would be rammed in summer are nice and quiet, some even drop the price of their tickets!

    No disrespect. This idea that carp are a wanted fish is new to me. Yes i have read that around the world with the exception of north america carp are the most popular or the no2 sport fish people fish for. Heard you say that some locations do not have high populations of carp. I live in the USA state of new mexico. Here most lakes are very overpopulated with common carp. No one fishes for them. I have seen schools of hundreds at a time. When i was around 4 years old i cought a carp by accident. Been a fan ever since. But winter is new to me. Thank you for the information 🙏

    • @fishingtutorials
      @fishingtutorials  Před 4 lety

      I didn't put this in the video as being on the end of the wind in winter can be detrimental. A cold wind removes warmth from the surface water and it then circulates, meaning a new, cold wind results in fish moving in the opposite direction to the wind, to get away from the circulating cold water. It's so hard to predict fish movements as there are so many factors at play!

    Could u do a vid on how to find spots in lake using maker floats and leads , personally that’s my weakest point in carp fishing and I’m sure a lot more carp anglers too, cheers

    If there's no real features in the waters..an it ranges from 15ft to 3ft..what would u recommend as a thought pattern? My local water doesn't have any real features or islands so always questioning my choices

    Dying or dead weed gives off heat because of decomposition.Good for putting a bait near .Or a choddy on dead blanket weed.

      Ahh yes, that will be why they dying weeds are always a good area to fish!

    hi what rig do u think would be best for winter fishing natural carp and tench on good size lake and what bait would u use. the carp are around 5 pounds give or take do think a hybrid feeder or cage feeder with groundbait maggots and corn or somthing simple like lead weight and a few maggots on the end. awesome video by the way plus am not sure since its a natural i dont think there know what pellets and waffters are could be wrong

    good vid not much wrong i would of touched more on in the winter going towards more natural baits you covered the pop up maggots but far more to it then that
