I listen to Steve Stine for my bedtime stories.
Me too 😅
Best ASMR channel on the tube
Literally same
I do like it when he waves his hand in front of the fretboard.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Steve you are easily the best guitar teacher on youtube
I totally agreeeeee!!!
The one teacher on youtube that can really explain and teach. Steve you the man!
Steve, this lesson is a MAJOR breakthrough moment for me!! Thank you!!!
Same here!!
Now it's understanding as soon as you add that A it becomes a A min 7 in first inversion spicy af
8:45
A few months ago you taught me the notes on the fretboard. Then you taught me to meander, then you taught me the Pentatonic shapes 1 through 5, and then you taught me about how you can play in nearly any key as long as you accentuate the root notes to stay melodic. And now because of you I can look at my fretboard and go okay he wants me to play C on the E string, I memorized that for Steve months ago, then D, then down a string to E, F or F# G, and then slide to A. And i can see that on the neck as you tell me to do it. I still can't do hammer on pull off riffs at blinding speed like you but i've unlocked the whole fretboard because of your teachings and my will to practice.
Yes once you figure out the fret board alphabet it's such an amazing feeling i had to comment to say keep at it man if you can keep up with steve on a scale like that you have potential to exceed the sky us the limit.
Your gift as a teacher Steve, is you make the audience feel like you are teaching directly to them, one on one.
Thanks for the kind words, Pauline! And thanks for watching!:-)

This video was just what I needed to move my playing and my understanding forward. I’ve tried to learn scales, modes etc. over the last few years but this has made so much sense of something that I just couldn’t tie together until now. I’m now starting to really see the fretboard, my playing sounds better already. Many thanks Steve.
Stine really you deserve something big for the work you've done ,you've really became my wholesome tutor for all that I need
This is the best lesson on arpeggios I've watched
The CAGED way of learning arpeggios really puts me off. I get the concept, but memorizing the arpeggios everywhere seems to be taking things too far-at least for a beginner or intermediate player. Finding the arpeggios within the major scale is much more fun, and probably musically relevant, way to learn them.
Great stuff Mr. Stine. You are a wonderful teacher! Thank you for what you do for the Guitar community.
Wow thanks for this Steve... hugely helpful. My brain always defaults to 1/4, 1/3, 1/3, 1/3, 1/4, 1/4 pentatonic shape and it hasn't been easy to break free from that rut. Thanks!
I don’t really understand why the Pentatonic scale is so popular or why it was created except for ease of use. I find the major scale by far more melodic. The sound of the half steps is awesome, as hopefully this video has proven.
Maybe I shouldn’t hate on the pentatonic but I learned it when I was 16, and never once was inspired to go anywhere with it. Every guitar melody that I found really intrigued me always seemed to be using the Major scale. Maybe it’s because I love pop punk so much, which is very Major (I,IV,V) and rarely Minor or blues-like.
While listening to your music lessons, I felt like spending time in the divine presence.
Thanks Steve, great concept of keeping the arrpegio compact and simple. What can also be very halpful (at least for me) is to
see you improvising with this concept over a jam track with 3-4 chords, without sounding too mechanical
Thank you so much Steve you helped me about my struggles in finding licks and tips. Your the best men
I follow a couple guitar sites, one for gear, one for inspiration, and now yours for theory and technique. Thanks for all the free content.
You definitely have a way of taking things that most people fear to be too complex and explaining it so as to be understandable.
I've been playing 14 years, I've really learned from you more than anyone
I like how every train of thought is wonderful with you, there is no wrong or right, just different taste.
That was probably the best lesson I have ever watched for an intermediate player. You are an absolute champion. Mmkay. 👍👍👍👍🎸🎸🎸
I was instantly coming up with new fills that sounded great.
Looking forward to trying this out this weekend!
Many excellent guitar teacher on you tube, but you by far the most passionate and caring one.
Thank you Steve
Steve is definitely one of the best teachers on you tube!! thanks again.
What a amazing lesson I have ever seen to be learn solo and everything done honestly coz most of the people struggling for I’m great fan of you may god bless you live long lots of love from Middle East and 🇮🇳
‘It’s a kind of magic’. Thanks a lot from Italy. Incredibile lesson from who have problem to breack the line between play a box and play a melody.
Love the way you simplify things Steve.
Thank you Steve for the time and effort you put on each video. I still suck at guitar, but man, you are an amazing teacher.
this is the only guy that can actually make my brain absorb what he's teaching
Thank you so much, my friend. A light just turned on inside my head when you explained this concept.
Thanks a lot, Steve. When you mentioned about "chord chasing" and how our solo/scale patterns might not follow a larger order of shapes and positions, it cleared a whole lot up for me.
My very best to you 🤟
Glad the video helped you, J C! :-)

I really like how Steve instructs. This is great.
Thank you Ernest :-)
This was very helpful for me to expand from basic chords into lead guitar solos. I've been locked in a box of basic chords and this video really helped explain how to get out of it thank you very much. Subscribed.
Very practical, thank you! Immediately applicable
I did what you said and I already knew the major scale but I was able to fall into any position with this technique and feel solid about it thank you
Steve, you are one of my favorites. Really good stuff. THANK YOU.
Thanks for the great tips Steve.
Such a great lesson! Thank you Steve!
Steve as usual. A professional and a good guitar teacher.
Your video tutorials had helped me alot to improvise my solo amazingly as an intermediate level player ❤❤
Thankyou so much bro
Thanks Steve. Great info and excellent teaching skills.
Great lesson. Great teacher I must say. U lay down the theory so nice and neat. My teacher did the same, and it suddenly made sence.
This is extremely helpful...!!!
This will help my solos flow easier between the chords....

what a great teacher you make things hard to learn attainable and as they should be fun thanks very much for your awsome skill
I was half asleep watching your lessons. My mind swims alot when we talk notes so quickly. When you started showing how to connect the triads, my ears grabbed onto something familiar, and I jumped awake.
After self teaching for 25+years, this lesson really helped me make some sense out of several arpeggios. You have opened a long road for me with this lesson. Thank you so much!
You are very welcome, Jody!
Amazingly good teacher indeed, very knowledgeable, articulate, technical, and understands where the viewers may be coming from.
Thanks for the kind words, Dr. Pizarro! :-)

Super cool lesson. Lots of useful suggestions... broken down really clearly. Loved the melodic example of the higher octave string pair.. as some other commenter says it'd be great for a performance from you over a backing track showcasing the techniques you have demonstrated.
Thanks Mr. Steve, this lesson will really help me learn the fret board ☺ better.
Glad to hear Ronj
