The GTC is also very reminiscent of those classic 70’s and 80’s SL cars with a huge bonnet and the oversized three pointed star on the grill. I’m not sure the 911 can project that kind of style.

Argh, you don’t know what you are talking about. The AMG GT C DESTROYS a 911 GTS on the track, looks a whole lot better, is more reliable, and has better steering (hydraulic). Thumbs DOWN.
Hey Fluterra - I appreciate your opinion, but I've spent a week with both cars. The 991.2 GTS to me is the essence of a sports car - as for reliability Porsche is very good. That being said they are both amazing cars, but if it was my money I'd go with the GTS 911. I have spent a ton of time instructing in the AMG GTR and you are right these cars are fast! I don't judge cars on track times as it is less relevant as a race car is faster than either of these..... I prefer the feel of Porsche, but I do like the sound and look of the Mercedes a lot! Either one is a great choice.
You said you have not pushed the GTC yet you claim the Porsche handles better? You decided long before you touched the wheel. Your opinion is worthless.
@@billstanisci9807 I prefer the Porsche 911, but I can see why some people would choose the Mercedes over it. You sit far back in the Mercedes, visibility is not great and it is definitely more of a handful to drive than a Porsche, but the Merc is better sounding and more exotic. I think my favourite car on the street has been the 570 McLaren I borrowed! My favourite car I've ever driven is the Ferrari 458. So no I"m not just a Porsche fanboy.....

The Porsche is lighter and smaller. I have also driven AMG GTRs on track and prefer the way the Porsches feel.
