@@pega2777 With the instant torque from the electric motor and the insane power of the 4.4 V8, combined with it's aerodynamics it would easily destroy all the other cars on there. Shame BMW made the stupid decision to give it a fucking Inline 3 from a Mini.
The I8 was the biggest surprise for me in this video, I thought it would get well and truly dropped by everything, but compared to the Audi it wasn't that much slower. I would like to see BMW release a proper hot hybrid to go with it though, rather than only a cooking grand touring hybrid.

Carwow did 13 sec in the 1/4, an X3 would do that time. 12 sec flat is what the I8 is capable of, if they really tried it would of been tied with the AMG.

The BMW i8 might look like a supercar, but it‘s not. That being said, I‘ve ridden in them twice and they are very fast in their right. Definitely faster and more comfortable than a Prius, which felt cheap and flimsy and built to a price; and had a noisy and nervous suspension.

A.k.A Trippin No, I’m just tired of people not understanding what the I8 is. I’m not a bmw fanboy at all, I in fact like Audi as a brand more than BMWs, it’s just I really liked the X5. And just so you’re aware, every car is made out of plastic in certain places you absolute tool. If you’re talking about plastic in the interior, that’s completely and utterly untrue. While not as nice as most newer Audi’s, my car has great materials inside, virtually everything is covered in wood trim, leather or soft touch materials. Go back to your Honda Civic.
Anyway, about the I8, it’s all about the appearance. The I8 is one of the most beautiful modern cars on the road, and many rich people just don’t care if it’s extremely fast or not, they care about the looks and the attention, which the I8 certainly delivers. Yes it’s slower than other super cars, but it’s not slow by any means. Plus, they’re an absolute steel on the used market. I used to think I would never ever buy one due to the 3 cylinder engine, but they’re becoming so “cheap” on the used market I’ve actually briefly thought about buying one.
And going back to the “BMW fanboy” crap, I’m actually trading my X5 in before June of this year as the 4 year warranty is about to expire, and I’m in fact, replacing it with an Audi Q8, so there goes your stupid theory. I’ve owned many Audi’s in the past, and have loved them to death. So, if you want to sound like an idiotic 5 year old calling me a “fanboy”, I’m actually an Audi fanboy for your information. Thanks
1k Subscribers without any videos. True, but that’s not what the I8 is about. It’s one of the most beautiful and flashy cars currently for sale today. It came out 5 years ago yet it still looks like a concept car in 2020, BMW absolutely nailed the design. And while they really should give it a more powerful motor, that would raise the price even more. Although I do agree that they should at least give it the Inline 6.
