I will say I think the reason pink diamond looks different from her mural depiction is her mural wasn't made at that time. She was still very young and didn't have a planet. I think by the time she had earth, she probably had developed a different appearance just like all the gems tend to do.
Well, remember when Amethyst felt like she wasn’t good enough, so she changed herself? Maybe Pink did the same. Idk
Also Murals are not necessarily made to be accurate is a more artistic depiction. Is a tiny detail that may or may not be answered and ti doesnt matter because at the end of the day is the symbolic drawing of tiranic leaders their job is to provoke emotion. I think he really got hung up on that mural stuff.
It’s also possible that the murals are intended to be generalized depictions, ones that aren’t necessarily accurate, but are still recognizable. Pink’s hair is different, Blue’s clothing is different, and Yellow’s pauldrons are different. Perhaps exact depictions aren’t permitted, similar to how exact depictions of some religious figures of worship are looked down upon on Earth. The Diamonds aren’t just leaders, they’re practically sacred, after all.
I don’t like how you immediately right off that the dream sequence is a plot hole. Maybe the dream was foreshadowing that pink is still alive. Or maybe that Stevonnie is taping into the mind of pinks gem shards. Steven was able to enter the mind of the of the shards in the cluster.
Or maybe it's just not a dream and, now that all the counter arguments have been removed, it's the first solid evidence that Steven has Pink's memories, because Rose was Pink Diamond. At this point there really isn't a reason to dismiss the theory any more and now it has some evidence fans can start talking about how this theory solves literally every contradiction and mystery that we've been presented with, especially since we learned about the Diamond.

Have you a single reason to dismiss this theory? To me in seems more sensible than inventing new universal scope powers; suggesting Pink was secretly alive in that jungle or deciding that because Steven talked to the living cluster gestalt, he can have intergalactic necropathy. Before there were never any counter facts, there just wasn't any evidence either; now, is there any better explanation for this experience, that doesn't revolve around un-explainable deus ex machina or poor writing?

Even garnet says her visions aren’t always accurate and she has to actively use it for her to see the future their isn’t anything unintentionally inconsistent. It was made in a way that allows for her visions to not come true all the time

Here's an idea though. His dreams are emotinally charged. The area that Stevonni was in emotionally charged from the talk that Yellow and Pink had. I would like to guess, that his dreams in particular this version is more like residual. I believe in the paranormal so this seems plausible.

Sandra Mccombs indeed, but at this point, Steven doesn't know about the fusion boosting that power, so he might try that on his own, only for it not to work, and only understands how it works, after getting more vague, ominous, less helpful flashbacks like this one.

Pink Diamond was very misrepresented in her moon base mural. Her size, and even her gem cut/shape, was completely off. Which can cause one to speculate that Pink was in fact a defective Diamond and that the other diamonds were lying to the rest of the homeworld about her defects. Which makes me wonder why they would allow her to have her own colony if they were so intent on misleading everyone on what Pink Diamond was like.
A mural is just an artistic representation of something on a massive scale. The style that these particular murals rely on is hard-edged and angular. Blue and Pink’s character designs aren’t nearly as angular as Yellow’s, therefore Yellow has a more true-to-life representation in the mural.
I haven't read too many of the comments, so Idk if someone has mention this: If Pink was seemingly younger than Yellow, her look could change as she matures. In addition, with Yellow's short temper, she could easily poof Pink as a sort of "being grounded" scenario and told not to reconstitute her form until she "behaves herself" or what have you. We don't entirely know how far in the past this "memory" takes place, so it could be a glimpse into what Pink was like before she became a tyrant like her fellow diamonds.
But in the "How Gems are made" short Amethyst days that Gems come out of the ground fully developed and ready for whatever their purpose is. It might be different for Diamonds, but I don't think so.

It sort of came to mind because in Steven's Dream, the vision he gets doesn't exactly look like it's from the perspective of Blue Diamond. Not unless Blue Diamond had her face on the ground at the time.

I think that after this event, Pink pulls herself together and changes accordingly. She stops acting and looking like a child to prove that she is worthy of a colony and receives Earth. OR the original Pink Diamond was replaced and Blue missed her but she was alive.
Windy Plays MSP I agree with the first part I think that over time she actual changed both physically and emotionally. As time went on she started to mature and become a leader but she could have also started to see beauty in "organic life". The physical part could have been shown as her actually growing over time or maybe in the mural because she is a diamond, they had to depict her as big even though in reality she was small.
I believe the reason the diamond looks different is because it's a dream all the details will not be 💯 % accurate

I believe it was really more of that Stevens dream connected with the strong emotions and memories that were left there. Still inconsistent but maybe something we will see again later on.

This episode is saying that Steven needs to nap in any area we KNOW Pink Diamond was present. But do you think the show will do that? I don't. I'd love to be proved wrong.

The reason the flashback wasn’t normal was because of Connie, she can relate with pink. The fact that yellow diamond is Connie’s mom is not only because she’s the only mother figure it is that Connie feels her mom doesn’t care what she wants! She has to do whatever her mom wants, and I know that changed in nightmare hospital but we never got major conformation that it changed completely!

Remember Centipeedle's backstory when she explained it in writing to Steven???
Centipeedle was a CAPTAIN OF A DROPSHIP before she became corrupted. The episode ended with Steven finding Centipeedle's old ship and her reuniting with her old crew mates. Just like in Bismuth's story.
P.S. : Remember Steven put his healing spit in Centipeedle's EYE?? The reason Centipeedle became corrupted again was because she CRIED when telling Steven her tragic back story. When she CRIED, her tears WASHED AWAY STEVEN'S HEALING SPIT and that's what caused her to become corrupted once again. Because she cried out the substance that was healing her.

I don’t think the murals are supposed to depict exactly what the diamond looks like, it’s more to give off the vibe of, this is roughly what they looked like. Kind of like how ancient art and texts had vague carvings or drawings of people, or even in a cave painting.

I wonder if the design inconsistency is for the reason that the mural designs were meant to be more symbolic than literal, or that the diamonds possibly change their forms? As for the dream inconsistency, well, the rules you pointed out were more speculation/common denominators than real rules. Perhaps it happened this time because Steven (well, Stevonnie) was in a place with powerful diamond vibes and history
Yellow changed her outfit once within the show, so I don't see why Pink couldn't change her hair now and then. Amethyst has gone back and forth between long and short hair, even though her gem type generally has long hair.
And that is quite significant because normal gems change own appearance (excluding temporal shape-shifting what still is uncommon skill) only in puffed state. If Diamonds who generally don't go puff can shape-shift that mean a lot.
Plus if you look at it a different way it still follows the same trends the other dreams did.
Steven has a natural connection to Pink Diamond because she is the sole creator of Rose Quartz gems. Pink is essentially Steven's grandmother.
And if I'm right Pink is bubbled in the chest in Lars/Lion's heads! With Lars nearby in space and Steven in a place where Pink had an emotional experience I think Stevonnie connected to Pink Diamond herself.

With the confirmation that Pink Diamond WAS Rose Quartz, it now explains just who Steven/Stevonnie were connecting to with this dream - so it actually DOES follow the established rules for the dream powers! Just another example of foreshadowing, I guess!

I agree. The dream was weird to begin with. Dream Yellow diamond was a mix of Connie's mom and yellow diamond. Maybe the reflection wasn't so accurate at depicting pink diamond too.
The flashback was probably set before Pink Diamond received her first colony (the Earth) since she apparently didn't have much of anything at first.
whats interesting is how later on we learn that his mom was pink diamond, so technically he was connecting with someone, his mothers gem. So the whole connecting to someone aspect was still in effect, we just didn't know it
The dream happened because the diamonds are linked to the jungle moon.. and Stevonnie has different “powers” than Steven which is why this vision was more of a weird dream.
Especially since Connie can put herself in PD's shoes, with having one super strict parent and one more fun parent, but the fun only really happens when they're alone together.
Steven can relate to her on the emotional level of having been underestimated, only needing a test to pass, but he got the benefit of seeing the CG trying to parent him and not knowing how to do it, while The Diamonds are obsessed with keeping appearances at *all* times.
Stevonnie having Connie's intellect and wisdom and Steven's powers really would kick-start a Padparadscha-like ability to see the past. Just more vividly.
And Stevonnie being 3/4 human does add to the solidarity in being off-color.
Like how Ruby is fiery, Sapphire is icy, and Garnet is electric. I wonder what else Stevonnie can do!!!

I found it interesting how before the song what's the use of feeling blue, Blue states, "but, they were hers, she made them, they are the only thing we have left of her." Inferring to the rose quartz bubbled around. Maybe that means Pink created the rose quartz in the first place?
Also when Yellow was singing she said, "Why keep up her silly zoo." Maybe Blue was encouraging her idea of the zoo at the time. Blue being a protective mother and all.
One last idea I had was why Pink made the zoo in the first place. Other than her just being a child, we know that the planet Yellow colonized had organic life and eventually died. Maybe Pink knew her planet was organic and wanted to make sure it didn't die, since it was her first colony, and she didn't want to disappoint. So she made a zoo, so if her colony did die, she could possibly bring it back to life. I also think she wanted to keep the planet alive, because Yellow couldn't keep hers alive.

I theorize the diamonds grow. That’s part of how they are made. I think pink grows up and grows out her hair. In garnets flashback she is taller than the crystal gems, but not diamond sized
Exactly the same with Blue Diamond. She reformed (whether or not she was poofed beforehand) after such an emotional event as Pink Diamond being shattered. Her physical state conveys her emotional state. She looks inherently sad because she IS sad.
And Pink DIamond in this scene displays behavioral and physical traits of a child. She sees what Yellow Diamond is doing and immediately wants to do it herself. She is upset that she doesn't have her own army or planet.
Perhaps she "grows up" in a sense and then reforms to be more diamond-like, with spikier hair.

Beyond that his powers seem to follow classic psychic tropes. Reach out to other peoples dreams, see through their eyes, see memories associated with a place or thing that caused them stress. All normal psychic trope.
Maybe Pink shapeshifted herself to appear more powerful to her followers/fellow diamonds? Thinking about the child mentality, she may have tried to force some form of mature appearance or change herself to get what she wanted?

Cinnamon Yates i think diamonds shapeship with some kind of technology or knowledge. on his way to the human zoo steven changed the crystal gems' size by pressing buttons. it even said on the ship's menu screen that the size selected was diamond....i take it as a hint of why they are giants compared to the rest of the gem race.
Well, gems can change their forms when they reform. They haven't seen to have changed their psychical forms drastically, with the exception of Amethyst. That proved to put her in an unstable state. However, Diamonds have much more power than Amethysts, and can probably easily learn to control such drastic changes in their physical form. It'd be possible for Pink to learn to hold that form in the mural as easily as walking.

Pink Diamond should have looked like the rest of the Diamonds from the start. However, her emotions (Just like Steven on that birthday episode) altered her physical form a LOT. She acted and felt young, little, etc., and that reflected on her appearance. However, when she put on her big girl pants and matured a lot, getting her own colony and such, she was able to be in her true Diamond form, as we know in the mural.

Idk but by the time pink breaks the mirrow she didn't own a planet and she was still young. Yes, gems don't age but their looks change as times passes. Maybe pinks apperance didn't match up so much because she was still in a 'young' mental stage...
I also think maybe as she aged mentally, her anger thorwards (sorry for my bad english) the other diamonds became more clear. I mean she already looks pissed off and in case the other diamonds did treat pink the same way yellow did, then I understand that she feels such negative emotions. Maybe pink was so excited about having a colonie that she simply was frustrated about the rebellition. Not because she cared so much for homeworld but because she fought her hole life for this moment, for having a colonie. And maybe she wanted to have the human zoo because she was fascinated by the species and she saw how special humans are. Just a thought, ( ;) ) but I wanted to know what you think about it! :3

I try to justify the difference in dream power rules this way: Stevonnie is a fusion, so any of their abilities can be an altered form of Steven and Connie's abilities. I think this is a completely new dream power unique to Stevonnie. Just like how Alexandrite breathes fire when ruby herself, garnet, and the other fusions that contain Ruby can't breathe fire. Burning holes everywhere you touch due to your anger is very different than breathing fire. Maybe using dreams to see others' flashbacks is just Stevonnie's thing.

Zachary, do you watch the show? Like at all? When Pearl and Steven built a rocket ship and went into space only to crash back down, Pearl zapped on a new outfit with the snap of her fingers. Reforming is for healing, they don't always have to come back with a different outfit.
When Greg first met the gems amethyst was young looking, and Steven also changed his age to show how old he feels. Maybe pink does too when she finally gets her own planet, and has to start acting like a diamond

Yes but gems CHANGE THEIR PHYSICAL APPEARENCES when ever they want! Pink Diamond doesnt want to be treated like a child and have her own colony, so what kid wouldnt change her look? Teenagers do it to seperate their own identities from that of their parents. While gems age slooowly, they still have emotional upheavals and points if finding themselves and changing their opinions. Pink and her off color court (because i think yellow would have been embarrassed by such a strange earth grown batch that Pink would have rebelliously kept them) were probably seen as a failure in yellow's eyes. And perhaps this is why, in The Trial, she acts like the guilty party of a monarch trying to keep her actions covered up. After all she has shattered gems for less. Why would she do it with a childish and rebellious, off color tolerating Pink?

I know it seems like a long chain, however it's completely plausible that Stevens Dream was NOT written sloppily. Think about it: Steven wasn't using steam powers; he was having a memory of Pink Diamond that he was able to access through ROSE. Rose may have traces of Pink Diamond's memories if she was created by her. It makes sense.
Except that Rose never used the dream power (since Gems don't sleep) or any variation, as the CGs are surprised at this power. It seems to be something entirely Steven like his Bubble powers.

Wouldn’t these flashbacks with Pink Diamond work better with Padparadscha? She’s literally a Sapphire that can see things that just happened, which means she probably saw Pink Diamond’s shattering or other memories of Pink Diamond to tell Stevonnie. And we can trust Padparadscha to not hide any information from Steven, because she doesn’t have a desire to protect him from the truth the way the Crystal Gems do.
Doesn’t have to be Padparadscha, but Stevonnie could have got a dream or memory from Yellow Diamond, Blue Diamond, Yellow Pearl, or anyone that could be potentially closer to Pink Diamond that just happened to be nearby or checking on the Jungle Moon remotely. Maybe one of Fluorite’s gems knows something and can tell Stevonnie... I don’t know. I think it would be nice to see these things from other gems’ point of views (since we have so many now).
But maybe the reason they were able to this dream will be explained somehow, and I just don’t get it yet.
I think the rules of Steven's empathy powers make sense. It seems like he always ends up using it when powerful emotions are in play, which is true in all cases. I think the reason he was able to access a memory from Pink even though she is supposedly shattered, is because of two things. One, he was Stevonnie which we know from Garnet' s fusion explanation would enhance Steven's power since the fusion equals more than the two subjects making it up. This would enhance Steven's dream powers and possibly make it possible to see even more. Two, they were near where the memory happened which I believe is important. The powerful emotions were kind of engrained within the base, thus further allowing Stevonnie to access that memory.
But what about blue Diamond
If you are talking about how far away she was, I believe this can be explained one of two ways. Either A, since blue diamond was alive it might have been easier to connect to her thus giving Steven that range, or Steven would have had the pink diamond dream basically no matter where they where on the planet, and always had that sort of range.

Haven't finished the video, but I want to point out that this is the first time that the power has been used while fused. Steven's met with the diamonds, and Connie's got her mother issues. Fusing is a melding of 2 beings, and as such those connections likely merged, and came off mixed up and confusing as such.
Maybe the reasoning behind when Stovnnie had the dream of Dr. Mahashwarm(however you spell it) being yellow diamond is when Steven was explaining to Connie what happened on the ship when retrieving Greg, he most likely explained on how Yellow Diamond acts and it probably the description reminded her of her mother, who is what we see in the dream, or it could be the fact Pink diamond sees her as as motherly figure and so since it's Stovonnies dream its Connie's mom. Honestly, I think its interesting that Steven is able to see through Blue Diamond's eyes and have a flash back through Pink Diamond's eyes. It seems like the Diamonds would never have allowed any gems to have a power that could let them see there own private lives. The Diamonds are strong ruling figures that seem very dictator like, so why would they allow a gem that is lower then them to have a power that could reveal so much about them? The Crystal Gems pretty much stated that Rose was different in one way or another, but as far as we know she was wasn't over or under cooked. However, Pink Diamond is rather different from all the other Diamonds. So did Pink Diamond purposely make gems that were different from what the other diamonds thought were perfect and was shattered for that reason? Or was it because she was so out of control either a fellow diamond or Rose Quartz made a tough choice and shattered her? Or was Pink Diamond the first ever actual corrupted gem and Rose bubbled her? I don't really think we'll know until we see more of Pink Diamond and her relationship to the other Diamonds. However, just about anything seems possible at the moment. As for the hair not being spikey maybe Pink wears a helmet like Yellow does out of admiration and a need for Yellow's respect/approval. A child will usually bug someone to the point of annoyance because they want love, approval, and attention. Seeing how childish Pink is ad how fond of Yellow she seems to be I think its possible they may have been more close then we are led to believe. Looking at them from the stand point of how sisters normally are, Pink is the youngest and most impressionable one while Yellow was that one cool older sister who had all these armies and respect from her soldiers. Pink highly admired Yellow and wanted to be like her, however Yellow is an older sister. So of course Pink would be treated as an annoyance. After all Yellow was busy and trying to do her own thing, but Pink kept on distracting her. Looking at the Diamonds age wise I'd say Pink is more of the bratty 10 year sibling, while Yellow is the older teenage one that well acts like any older teenage sibling and snubs the younger one because she has better things to do. Also seeing all of this if Pink was shattered by a diamond I don't think Yellow did this and this flashback just about confirms it. Yellow and Pink were far too close. Yellow's violent reaction to Zircon's claim of a Diamond did it was because she feels guilty for how she treated Pink. She wishes she spent more time with Pink, maybe even wishes she showed Pink the ropes better, or at least did something to help prevent what happened to Pink. Personally, I'm starting to think Pink's desperate need for approval is what lead to her down fall. As a person she is highly unstable and when she shattered her reflection it reminded me of Jasper and her own downfall into becoming a corrupted gem. Pink seems like a highly unstable Gem. Its one thing to be childish, its another thing to let your emotions and ego drive your actions.
SteamWorks Unicorn Pink could have made Rose poof her and Yellow thought she shattered herself. I think it's pretty obvious that Yellow knows that Rose didn't shatter Pink because she could have thought she shattered herself.
I think Rose has all those powers because she was the first Gem to be created on earth. She was Pink's first Gem so she created only one at a time to see If it worked on earth. But, as even after two relatively big kindergardens earth still has enough nutrients for life in the soil, Rose gained more strength than expected. Rose was supposed to be a maternal gem, explaining her shield and healing, but she became overprotective, and that's why she had her bubble (total isolation) and the power to see through other lifeforms' (Pink's) eyes (to monitor her).

I was thinking the same, so I'm glad you said this. It's like when we first are introduced to Peridot and we all thought she was a high-status gem before realizing gems could have limb enhancers, thus giving the impression of superiority. If Pink wound up never being able to change her size for good (either through being poofed, voluntary shapeshifting, etc.), then I think she would have recreated herself in a mecha-suit fashion with a helmet, limb enhancers, and maybe more. We'll have to wait to find out what the Crewniverse reveals next.
The gems did not know what limb enhancers were suggesting that limb enhancers were post-war items. I don’t think she’s defective. I believe diamonds get their size from the where the diamond position is. White being the hugest with her diamond on top of her hear, while blue and yellow being the same size with their diamonds on their chest, and pink being the smallest with her diamond on her stomach. I also believe that the diamonds just have different cuts because both yellow and blue have different cuts.

It annoys me a bit how he is just bashing the changes in design after he put emphases on that she was still a child. It was likely not the same hair she had when she grew up. And you know she atleast grew taller than bismuth so she still has more developement that has to be done before we can really judge that.

I have a feeling that Pink Diamond had the temperament of a child and, like you said, really annoyed Yellow Diamond because of how it reflected on the Diamond Authority. I wouldn't be surprised if White and Blue Diamond agreed to allow Pink Diamond a chance with Earth, but Yellow wasn't having it and, probably at some point, Pink did something that Yellow wouldn't forgive. Yellow decides to break Pink Diamond, but Rose Quartz interferes, possibly preventing her from being shattered, and then bubbles Pink so that she won't be a nuisance. Yellow tells everyone that Pink was shattered and Rose Quartz is held accountable.
I always find it weird that if Pink was shattered that the other diamonds wouldn't have her shattered pieces put somewhere special. I would imagine Blue would have preserved them. Yet we haven't seen this which makes me always go ''okay, but where are her remains then?''

As an artist, I don't find the mural thing all that annoying or frustrating. Designs and concepts change over time and, as you say, gems can change their appearance over time. So I am not fussed about that.

Also, in the episode where peridot joins the crystal gems, yellow pearl is about the size of yellow diamonds boot, and in the song “what’s the use of feeling blue” yellow pearl is smaller than yellow diamonds hand.

I think pink diamond in the mural and image might have a helmet. Maybe she decided to start taking on looks actions simular to the other diamonds, Yellow's helmet being one, but she made her helmet look, to her, better. Like when you tell a little kid "why don't you act like a diamond" or "why can't you act like your sister" and they do, because they think something will come of it. She probably also started acting more emotional like Blue Diamond, and probably did something like White Diamond. Pink's gems would act like her in ways, right? Amythests were made by her when she started acting like a kid again. Rose Quartzs probably have emotional connections because Blue Diamond is emotional, and Pink wanted to act like Blue Diamond at the time. Idolizing phases or copying behaviorsare common in children, Pink acts like a child. That's just my guess.

One thing I thought of is that yellow D said something about drop ships and in the episode that Steven returns from space Pearl says that the gems couldn't get the Dropship working. So we know which ship they were trying to get to work🙂🙂
Connie and The gems could be that she was the forth and the decided upon last diamond to be created. So with her literally being at the bottom of the diamond insignia it's upside down, or a much simpler excuse is that she's over cooked like amethyst. Resulting in her much smaller stature and her gem position.

Connie and The gems pink Diamond might be a defective gem and therefore a shame for the diamonds. That could explain why her "official" image differs from her real appearance. The diamonds need to keep their image flawless (bcs it affects their position as leaders) and would try to hide pink Diamond from the rest of Homeworld (doesnt explain why Garnets memories show that form of her but it could be a double or some kind of reshaping)
Buuuuuut! Steven had no connection to Blue Diamond, so your dispute against the Pink Diamond dream stands no ground.
Steven appears to be a gem of such oclairity he is turning out more powerful than Rose herself. He has forseen events far into the future (not including help from Garnet, but I can see her help has helped open this 'dream' ability). He never seemed super close to Kiki until he really started hanging out with the 'cool kids' as a band (saving them from the algae helped form a ground for a bond to form). In Lar's case he believed he was close to him, it was not a reciprocated feeling until Steven ressurected him.
So to say the dreams can only happen with people he has 'close ties' to is farfetched. Why did he not forsee his dad being taken by Blue Diamond then? Why did Steven not forsee how he would hurt Connie or that Lapis would leave and hurt Peridot? Until it was too late and the events were already happening.
This dream power of his is still in its infancy, given time I see him being able to freely use it making him more of a crucial part of the Crystal Gems.

For her Looks: You dont think they any one of the other Diamonds would depict her as she was in Murals -Small, goofy. I think they want to depict her....as much as a strong leader as the others.
The pink diamond dream does somewhat fit the rules. It could be very possible that Stevonnie was dreaming this in first person, but the story could be better told from third person. And at the very end of the dream, it is in first person. The first diamond dream was supposedly the present, but Blue has been mourning for thousands of years, she could have visited that place several times, and Steven is reliving it. But Steven felt aware of his actions while in that dream, and could supposedly, look around. I don't think this is true. He felt like he could control his actions, but really, he was looking through Blue's eyes while it was happening. This ties back to the Pink diamond dream, where Stevonnie felt like she was in control, but she was really just reliving it. The reason why it was geared towards Connie in the beginning of the dream, was because they were dreaming while part of a fusion, and not as individuals. Eventually, the Steven part of Stevonnie took more control of the dream, making it look more and more like the diamond base. I guess Stevens dream and the rules it follows depends on whether its affecting a diamond, normal gem, or human. In that way, it still follows the rules.

You have a very well thought out point and it's entirely possible, although it would imply that Pink is still whole and maybe even on that planet for some reason. Personally though, especially considering that Stevonie was reacting to the ruin before she fell asleep, I just think that the idea that it's a memory, not a dream/vision, is much simpler.
Still that's probably coloured a bit by my fondness for the obvious theory as to why Steven could have Pink Diamond's gem and how that theory has been rising again, with all the recent revelations that remove the counter arguments ans mean it could neatly solve pretty much all the mysteries and contradictions in the show.

I feel like Pink’s childish personality resembles Amethyst in a very big way. This hints that they are rebellious against their leaders, they act out irrationally, and their voices sound almost exactly the same. My thought is that Rose didn’t shatter Pink, but someone else did. I’m not exactly sure who, but Rose probably tried to save Pink by taking the remains of her gem and took it to the Healing Fountain, but it didn’t work. So Rose took the shards to the Kindergarten and placed them into an empty hole. This was Amethyst’s hole. Then 500 years later Pink was formed into a new gem, Amethyst. This is why she was such a late bloomer. It’s because Rose placed Pink’s pieces into that hole many years later after all the others. And the reason Amethyst is the “runt” is probably because Rose didn’t have all of Pink’s pieces. This probably means that Amethyst isn’t a “whole” gem. That is why her gem cracked so easily in the episode where Steven and the gems take Amethyst to the Healing Fountain. Now drawing to my conclusion, Pink Diamond and Amethyst are the SAME PERSON/GEM.

The depiction of pink diamond is exaggerated completely to show her to be much more powerful than she really is as she is still a diamond than the little brat that she is as she’s defective- the reasoning for blues white hair is from all of the maiming she is going through it’s caused stress

This a crazy theory I thought of that I don't really believe to be true or untrue but:
There's the belief that Pink staged her shattering for many different reasons. Then the latest episode opened more to the possibility that she was never shattered. It is believed in universe that Rose shattered her. Mystery Girl looks like Rose. There's theories that Mystery Girl is connected to a gem in some fashion. What if Pink shapeshifted as either Mystery Girl or Rose and staged her own shattering somehow and then continued to live on Earth as Mystery Girl? Just a thought just a thought just a thought.

What would help more is the fact that we don't know what happened with Pinks shards and when our Pearl (whom is speculated to be under white diamonds athority) can't even try to explain anything to Steven about homeworks and Pink diamonds shattering
If she shapeshifted, we'd still be able to see her gem, located on her naval, which Mystery Girl has uncovered with no gemstone to be seen.
I mean... i think they made it kinda obvious that this would be before the mural so it’s plenty of time to change the way she behaves and looks during that time, so there isn’t anything wrong with her design until we see a vivid scene of her getting shattered. Only then will we know...
Also the thing about blue diamond and her mural... it’s a mural of the diamonds general shape not the detailed in person type, so the mural of blue diamond is an accurate display of her general form as she is large, has a chest gem, and had long hair. Looks pretty good to me.
I'd much rather have the crew make changes as they progress than stick with something they knew they didn't like and wasn't going to work. They've proven themselves to be excellent storytellers. How are you supposed to show Blue Diamond crying like that and her emotional facial expressions if her face is constantly shaded by her hood? Of course she has hair and a face under there!
I would assume the morals did not match the diamonds 100% (or at all) to display a powerful look to those not privileged enough to see them, it would give them an image of their over all 'owner'. A simple way to increase loyalty and morality.
Another thing, Steven, in a messed up way, does have a connection to pink (or at least very strong emotions regarding her) due to all the stories he has heard about her. An untamed desire to know more about Pink/any diamond, and what really happen during the war (when his mind is on the right track). We could also assume it might have something to do with him have Rose's gem, but that's a big stretch.
The reason the dream was confusing was simply because it was a dream. Some of us are consciously able to manipulate dreams, which is what Steven was doing. We're also able to have meaningful dream while the present surroundings transforms into abstruse things. Don't mind the strangeness of it, what mattered most was the message. (For the cartoon and real life)

Yes, the important thing to me was that it FELT like having a dream.
tbh not a huge fan of pink’s overall design and how misleading the mural of her was in regards to her appearance, but i️ think her rather “neat” hair was a product of yellow preferring things to be more orderly. and if and when pink grew so angry to the point of rebelling against her own fellow diamonds, thus being able to own possession of earth and the moon, as well as having her own army of rose quartz, then maybe the more messy, upstanding hairstyle depicted in the mural was to symbolize how she wasn’t going to be told what to do by the other diamonds
T. W. I think Pink shape shifted to appear comparable to other Diamonds, but is naturally smaller due to being overcooked/Off Color.
Based on the role stevonnie is playing she maybe is in pink diamonds dream and showing how pink diamonds acts.
Maybe she gets pooped and reforms to them seem more official. The statement form Yellow makes it seem that Pink is too childish to have her own planet. And since those murals depict Pink WITH a planet, one could speculate that it’s before her resent design and she perhaps changes her look to get approval and her own planet .
