Just got drunk after work, noticed the flush handle didn't have any resistance, and saw the toilet kept filling and draining at the same time. Thank you so freaking much for this. Turned out the chain connecting the flapper and the flush handle thing fell off and my drunk arse wouldn't have noticed without this video.
I fixed mine today. It's working perfectly. 15 min saved me probably 100 dollars in handyman. Well handymarily did it. Thank you for make it possible. 💪🇺🇸👍💗
Thank you. 74 yr old single grandmother here. Got a new toilet and just recently it started running. Just a few counterclockwise twist with the screwdriver fixed the problem. Yea!

That was so easy to fix!! Sigh it's been running on and off fir months. If I can do this anyone can. Thankfully for me I only needed to tighten the long screw.

Instead of replacing the fill valve, try flushing it out. Turn off water, unscrew cap, hold a cup over the remaining fill valve, turn water on for several seconds to flush out any sediment, turn water off, scrub cap w toothbrush (or soak in vinegar), screw cap back on.

so my ra stopped at my dorm yesterday and helped me fixed the light then she asked for my number so she can text me school Information to me. then she saw the area code and she's like where are you from and turn out we from same place. so before she left she said she's gonna take care of me because I'm from her home town. then she texted me her full name including middle name?? then couple days later she texted me the additional school information without me even asking her. and she's not even my RA. she is just an on duty RA. does she like me? I was really formal maybe that's bad? she was joking around but I'm too akward so I said thank you and that's it.

Replaced and still not fixed. Now what?
Make sure the tube that fills up the flush valve is the correct length. You may need to cut it to the desired length and make sure it is sitting above the flush valve tube with the clip that comes with your fill valve. After replacing everything nothing worked until this was done. No one seemed to mentioned this and this fixed it after watching a video.

Home Depot in this video is just about having you spend more money than you need to. I’ve replaced and repaired mini tanks and there’s a seal on the top side of that fill valve that’s a cheap fix is called a toilet fill valve seal sometimes can be cleaned but cheaply fixed by replacing it you just pop The cap off the top and then you turn the whole unit and it unlocks and pops up in the seals inside and sometimes the flap yes is the issue on the bottom of the tank but But in rare occasions it’s the plastic between the flapper and the tank and base of the toilet that leaks but you rarely have to replace a Fluid master valve usually it’s just the seal inside this video is overkill for this issue
