    Thank you Kris, I have mastered using Premier elements 10 and how the menus work and thought I would give the 2021 version a go. At first it would not run " Black Screen issues " which meant the video would not play yet the audio would. After a lot of cursing and eventually finding a graphics driver update and disabling the intergrated driver it worked !
    I use narrations over my videos and the previous version had both bass and treble in the Audio effect menu which you could overlay on the track and then edit it to suit.
    I could not see this option in the 2021 version.
    Your video highlighted the adjustments option where the Bass and treble features are located.
    There aren't that many videos out there that help with Premier elements as they are all about the Premier Pro.
    Once again a big thanks buddy

    Great vid. Just what I wanted. Many similar, but they all assume a level of experience which I don’t have. Today I bought my first desk mic. And am starting to add voice overs into my vids. . And you talking to me like a person, rather than a sound engineer was a great help. Thanks.

    Thanks for showing the use of the multiple audio volume bar box. I've been using Audacity for music clean ups and agree that it's surprisingly still a free tool. Thanks for sharing.

    I hear you have the same problem I encountered--when using Premiere Elements' narration feature the sound of my narration as I record it is very distracting. I ended up recording in Audacity to solve that problem. Also, I used the Smart Mixer and it did an excellent job of placing the key frames to lower and raise the volume when narration was playing. Thank you for the informative tutorials, Kris.

    I am happy to have found your video. I have been all over google asking video and audio questions. Your video just showed up in my CZcams feed. I bought the new elements 15 I think. It is like a step backwards since I can't figure it out. I will try this on a few videos. The store said no returns for software. Being a visual learner is hard sometimes. Thank You, Thank You. Thanks Bunches!

    Great Video! I downloaded Audacity and I am have difficulty locating the folder where the WAV files are located. In your video you quickly opened the file and then copied it back. How do you locate the right file to use Audacity to edit it?

    • @KrisKasprzak
      @KrisKasprzak  Před 5 lety

      If you are talking about the file access at around the 4 minute 49 seconds mark I probably shot that segment of the video a few times where audacity remembered that folder. Keep an eye on where you save your project in Adobe Premiere Elements and sometimes it puts it in a goofy location I have a folder called C:\video\... where I store my video projects then I access that folder from audacity, not sure I'm really answer your question though

    • @KrisKasprzak
      @KrisKasprzak  Před 5 lety

      see in my vid at the 0:00 mark, there is a row in the timeline for narration and soundtrack (at the very bottom). You can drag your music track to that row or add it from the add media menu. Note if you add using the add media menu, you will still need to drag the music file to the timeline.

    Hi Kris. When I record audio with my lavalier mic the sound of "S" is very high and comes out almost like a whistle. Can I fix it with Adobe Premiere Elements? Thank you.

    • @KrisKasprzak
      @KrisKasprzak  Před 5 lety

      possibly, depending on how bad. Add an effect to your audio track and adjust, the audio effects are in the effects section make sure you filter them out by picking audio. There are several effects you can try 1) low pass filter (only passes audio below set frequency, try say 4000 2) NewBlue noise reducermay help 3) NewBlue Cleaner may work as well. Just goto try them out.

    I have some trouble getting the audio from elements to audacity, and I have no idea where they are. When I do a mix and get the file in the sound editing it is all one loud hiss. Can you give me some direction. Thankyou.

    • @KrisKasprzak
      @KrisKasprzak  Před 7 lety

      When I record inside premiere i find the audio file in the project folder. A loud hiss may be caused by trying to crank up the mic amplification too much--or too low. What level are are the VU meters in elements. Can you try recording from within Audacity and what are the results?

    • @sniperdad4853
      @sniperdad4853 Před 7 lety

    • @KrisKasprzak
      @KrisKasprzak  Před 7 lety

      look at your recording devices in Windows (lower right corner of Taskbar--the little speaker). Right click and select recording devices, is your mic selected? Then in Adobe, try preferences and audio, make sure your mic is selected.
      Hope this helps.
