- In this video I describe how to title and seperate/export songs in an audio file using the Labels and Multiple Export functions in Audacity. This is very handy if you are transferring audio from cassette or vinyl to your pc and want to export the individual songs for use in iTunes or another media player.

Huge Maiden Fan here so it was fun to watch your explanations - UP THE IRONS! Great tutorial!
Needed a refresher...cheers.
Thanks! After trying to follow the Audacity tutorials I can now close 15 tabs of "related" material that never helped me make it to this point. Straight forward and exactly what I was looking for.
Thank you so much! I am not as up to date with all the technological advances available today, so I usually put off learning them. Today I used your video to organize our concert we played from the weekend and I am so pleased. Thanks again.
Thank you very much! Straight to the point. Other tutorials were going too fast and were using the Tracks menu instead of Edit.
Audacity should pay you for this video, which is way better than their "official" tutorials! Thank you!!!
Wow, I was looking for just this help. I got a cassette to MP3 converter with Audacity download and I just had figured I had to record the whole cassette tape. But this is great and exactly what I wanted to learn! Thanks!!!
A couple of things you didn't intend, Brad, but what we should see more of: at one point you actually SAID 'press Enter' when you did it, and at another point you couldn't position the playhead at a single point, and while you were talking you tried to get the cursor right a couple of times - a point rather than a range - and on your third try you got it. It took only a couple of seconds.
Invaluable!
It would be excellent if we saw more of these little things as you did them. They can appear to be insurmountable road-blocks to those of us who are new to editing, when all it takes is a simple side-step.
Some years ago in 'Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance' we read how an entire machine was rendered incapable by a bolt with a stripped head.
So please note - speak keyboard and mouse actions; cover short asides. It's the little things, too.
Thank you for the feedback, as you can tell I'm kind of new to this stuff. I'm due to do an update on this video because there are some new techniques to adding labels in Audacity that make it even easier.
@@bsicotte - I meant to say - thanks for your efforts, too.
Amazing video thank you
Great video. Thank you so much! I was completely baffled and you made it easy.
This is exactly what I needed. Thank you.
Thank you for this. I found it very helpful
Thanks, very helpful.
Maiden. Love it!
thank you!! so helpful
Prima!
Really helpful, especially when cutting 10+ hours audio files
Thank you!
Thanks man!
Helpful, but how do you export all of the files into one file?
So will this work on CZcams as well.
Is it possible to add songs to a list of songs after export and control the numbers i can only get it to start back at 1
Is there a way to separate the two tracks in the middle (one above the other) horozontically? (splitting it at -1 middle border)I accidentally merged to completely two separate files into one resulting in two separate conversations on top of each other.
