- Let's take a closer look at the label track in Audacity. In the last video, I showed you one function of the label track in Audacity as a tool for separating groups of synced tracks. In this video, let's talk about using the Audacity label track as a label track.
Great tutorial. Thank you.
Very useful video. Thanks!
Very Helpful and clear.
Thank you. I'm glad it was useful to you.
2:01 So that's why I couldn't type on my label track.
I would just click and nothing would happen, I thought that was a bug, or maybe it just worked on windows and not on linux, which would be very weird for open-source software like this. Thanks for this video, I will use it for hints I can read while I play my instruments. Being able to import sheet music would be better but the label will be good enough.
Liked and subbed
Thanks!
how do you identify the various "sounds" e.g. whether its a shaky or vibrating voice and buzzing sound , and how do you delete it for a sound track and smooth listening experience? Thanks.
I'm wondering: Is there a way to "nuge" or "pocket" certain parts of a track to match up closer to the grid? Like, say you've got a snare hit that is a little ahead or behind the beat in one section -Is there a way to just nudge that one hit over a bit without cutting/ pasting or sliding the whole track over?? Thanks.
thanks. when i chop the wave up the labels then end up in wrong place, is there a way to make the labels stay relevant to the sections of the wave?
Thanks for the video! Is there a way to add a lyric sheet (text file) to Audacity projects?
I’m not sure. I’ve never needed to.
If I need to send a track with labels to my friend for a review , how do I do this so my friend can view the track on his PC and see the labels as well?
Thanks for these tips. Is there a keyboard stroke that will let you jump to the farthest label? Or jump between labels?
Yes. If you place the curser inside the label track and press Tab, it will cycle thru to the next label.
@@LearnAudacity Easy peasy - thank you!!!
OK nice and informative video... thanks... and cool shirt to boot !!! Now I've got 300 words in a foreign vocabulary labeled so I can learn how to pronounce them for an audio book on Buddhism... is there a way to use a "find" or "go to" function the way excel does on a spreadsheet... I'm left with having to scroll endlessly looking for a particular word.... ???? Help... thanks, Best Always, Joe
I use Descript. You can import your audio file into it and it turns it into a transcript. You can then find particular words. There's a free option you can try to see if it works for what you're doing.
is there a way to cycle between multiple markers you have created, instead of manually moving the playhead cursor to a marker?
Not that I'm aware of. That would be useful.
Thanks but how to delete the label without deleting the whole label tab?
On a Mac, Control-Click inside the label text, then delete label. In Windows, it's probably right-click. If you're on Windows, let me know what you find.
Yeah, how do you save it so that your edits are saved too?
