- In today’s video I’m gonna take you for a simple process and replacing your battery in your 2011 through 2019 dodge Durango or Jeep grand Cherokee the process is very simple and the tools you’ll need extremely simple as well starting out you’ll need a 13 mm socket a long extension 3/8 drive ratchet also you will need a 10 mm socket with the correlating ratchet. In the end of the video I felt to mention that I reconnected it to you sorry I didn’t do it now keep in mind even if I didn’t show it I didn’t do it. So in the end I would like to say keep in mind I can do it you can do it any questions comments or concerns give me a pillow and I will answer them as soon as I can thank you have a good day bye
Thank you you were the only one who showed how to take off the battery
You’re welcome man. Thank you for watching.
Thank you Brother
I hope it helped you out.
This isnt really a good representation for 2016-2021 models. In order to change the main battery you first have to pull out the Aux battery for the stop/start system which
sits in front of the main battery . It is a smaller battery but it has to come out before even attempting the main battery .
Nice video 👍🏼 I just noticed My vent hose is broken the little part that inserts in the hole is broke would you be able to help me on how to replace it I can’t seem to find any videos on how to take it off I don’t know how to take off the old hose …. 😕
Unfortunately I believe the only way to fix it is to grip it and rip it. If it’s broken on the lid your probably SOOL, 😢
Negative terminal cable won’t come out I unscrew loosen the top nut and nothing I don’t know if whoever had 2016 Durango RT idk if they tightening so hard it mushroom the post. Help
After you loosen it, it should pull straight up. These are clamp style terminals if I’m not mistaken. Meaning they don’t separate 100%
You might have to pry it off
The vent wasn't installed
I installed it. I promise I did. This one has a nice vent. It’s a little push in. Like like the others where it’s just a tube you have to fit over the oval hole. Also this battery is an AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) so it’s less of a mess. Hopefully this one lasts 5 years as well. Comes with a 3 year free replacement warranty, so that’s nice.
Yes sir them Mopar battery's don't last long
At least it's not behind the tire kid's 😂
Oh Plymouth with your wise wisdom of putting batteries behind tires. Where the heat meets the pavements and the same heat meets the battery.
He forgot to put the vent hose back on... oops.
I put it on after the fact…. Ha ha ha good catch ;)
Was there a blackout while filming? 🤪
I was filming at night. Sometimes when I remember to make these videos it’s really late. Workin a full “9-5” and then trying to do videos… it’s almost a full time job. But thank you for the comment, I sure do appreciate it.
Did it save your memory?
So because I put the jump box on the connector leads my memory was saved. Just be careful because the jump box makes the leads on the battery live.
