If I’m correct I believe it helps to drive it miles between flush to get the fluid to circulate through the valve body and have pressure to push out the old stuff

6 or so years ago I had the 4x4 go bad on mine, and the shop said it would be like 5000 bucks to fix... but did not have the money at the time, so they made it 2wd.. Now going back to it with more mechanical knowledge and having this as a spare car now, I want to replace the 4x4 transfer case along with the front Dif. Thanks for the video, now I will know what I am getting into.. lol. Will probably not start for a few weeks but will plan on it!

My intermediate shaft pulled out with differential, now it's stuck , Gant get it to go back in oil pan, differential pinned against frame won't come out

I took my trailblazer to a local tire shop to have my tires road force balanced...trying to chase down an issue with vibration felt in the front end...they noticed and showed me the sloppiness where the passenger side cv axle goes into the front differential. Could something internal in the differential cause this vibration? Could they be wrong and the cv shaft itself is whats flopping around (inner cv joint) Last question...im not sure how this front differential works on this drive system...could I remove the 2 cv shafts and the front driveshaft and solve this issue as there will definitley be no movement in the differential by doing so...i dont use 4x4 anymore anyway

I realize this is 4 years old. But I'm pretty sure the beveled side goes down and fits snug into the manifold.

Hey man I’m chasing down an issue with my trailblazer not having 4x4. Your front diff had that shaft in there that’s clearly broken. Was it sheared or something else? My front drive shaft spins in 4x4 and I hear something in the front diff but upon an oil change, I have no metal in the oil. (other than natural wear) Is there a chance I missed a part to replace or do I have a sheared shaft in my diff. Don’t have a problem doing this work! But I’ll have to do it twice.

Plate coving the hole is upside down, once flipped theres a groove for the wires and the spot for the clip on the plate is bottom right.

While I realize your Flowtron had two separate issues, it should be noted that it is not necessary to remove any screws when changing out the UV lamp only. Per the manual you remove the black plastic panel located on the bottom and pull it out.

How do I get the diff housing to separate from the engine. 2005 trailblazer 4x4 4.2. I have the engine out of the car and the right/ passenger side off, but I don't think all of it came off, there is still part of it that won't come off the engine block. both sides are stuck on to the block. What the hell is holding the diff to the engine?

I spent all day trying to get the lock ring on, now I'm buying a gear puller and hook it on the hole and press it down . Mitsubishi engineering is 3rd grade level. The hole could have been 1/2 bigger and centered better . I think dealers drop the tank for a extra $1000 they can charge you

Good gracious Batman! That looks like a nightmare. I was sitting here watching the video and thinking wouldn't it be easier just to pull the engine and get to it that way? I've got to do a head gasket on one and I'm thinking about pulling the motor and doing the timing chain at the same time. I know it's not in practice but it looks simpler to work on it when the engines out.

Do not carry a battery like that. Battery rupture, low level arch,crushed toes, explosion.. now you know.. Use a battery carrier less problems.
