Lol but people like you go ape shit for the most boring Travis Scott’s with the same exact thing but a slightly different color lol. It’s called the 1837 and in the 1837 collection for a reason. That collection is minimalistic and is supposed to be understated. That’s literally the point. 400$ is cheap considering they had to make each one of those silver bars and I’m sorry but labor isn’t free. Not to mention that suede and tumbled leather is better than anything you’ll likely see from Nike/Jordan in a long time until they do something with Dior or LV again, which most likely will never happen. 🤷♂️
Most people who complain about this shoe are not the intended target market. Its okay to acknowledge its not for you and simply pass. Clearly the demand is very strong with the aftermarket volume being surprisingly high at 2.5x retail. Its not for me either but there is definitely real demand for these.
They’re alright, but I think people are looking at these and thinking there’s so much more you could do with a Tiffany collab than a blacked out 1 with a silver plate on the back. 🧐

The problem with the drop was the velvet rope aspect. Had people jumping through hoops to get on a list and leave a method of payment even though you were not guaranteed to be selected to buy.
I’m a sucker for rope laces 😍 i actually put rope laces in a couple of my air forces. And i like how these are thick too.
I think these needed more drip. Like put Tiffany boxes on the laces, take a suede middle and have diamond shapes all over, do a diamond ring shaped pull tab on the tongue. Also golden outlines on the Nike logo could have been fire. I can't even see ladies wearing this because its not flamboyant enough. Its just a basic shoe in Tiffany colors.

Only reason why I would pay 400 bucks for a pair of sneakers is if it’s Goodyear welted and resolve-able and the leather is thicker and toe box is reinforced like a shell or heritage shoe

Tiffany isn't a loud company they been around since the 1800 they don't need to be flashy or crazy if you know tiffany and the brand then you know what the show means to have there stamp on it. With some real tiffany silver. It's not for the hype mongers it's for the true appreciation of both brands and the luxury name that tiffany brings . If you don't know you don't know this shoe isn't for everyone just the ones that really know

You'd probably drop 1000 bucks on some 4s if you had the money and I would take that 1000 bucks and buy some nice Jordan 6s or buy a bunch of airmax97s or af1s we all like different shoes. But. We all like shoes.

If you look close they aren’t glued. They can move a little since they are affixed to the strap.
That’s because it’s a hollow piece of silver wrapped around a suede strap it can move up and down and left and right 🤦♂️. Nice “burn” tho…

It will probably rise as the months pass. If you want it that badly you should be trying everything you can to buy them for retail. If you fail, pay the lowest resale ASAP.

this pair is made in China not Vietnam where the AF1s are usually made nowadays, you could assume the quality control is better than regular AF1s

I’m going to be honest. I love these and would love to own these, however. I’m in England & I have a friend getting married in Mexico. I will fully being attempting to get these solely to sell them and help fund me attending the wedding.
Honestly these have the same leather quality of any other winterized dunk, the silver tag is not really worth that much besides the name and the color blocking is uninspired and boring. They really missed with these and I don't understand people that say "you don't get it", I mean what's to get about it? They could at least pay some homage to the diamond collab

They come nowhere near the level of the Off-White AF 1's or the LV AF 1's. Beside that the legacy of Virgil lives on in those, is the design on the Tiffany x AF 1 a far-cry of what they could've come up with. And to top it off, the silver lace dubree is a accessory you need to purchase extra to match the thing on the back, so basically its a 700 dollar shoe.
For the simplicity, I will hold off on them
