    I just built my first ever ITX computer with the Meshilicious case with custom SFF cables. The biggest challenge with this case was cable management and GT's advices for cable management were SPOT ON. They were:
    1. get SFF cables if you can - 600mm 24 pin ATX & 8 pin ATX and 500mm PCIE.
    2. Use 20mm standoff under the motherboard and hide ALL your cables behind it. If you're a Sata needy person, you can even chuck another sata or even HDD in this compartment.
    3. just like @2:50, flip the cables backward behind the PSU then route it behind the elevated mob on the left side. Tie the cables to the middle panel's lower left. This is actually more critical that i thought as i spent hours rerouting and then realised how important it is to tuck the cables behind the PSU first as you install the PSU. This hides all your cables behind the PSU and creates more room between the PSU and the rad fans.
    Good luck (Y)

    I can't use the 4 slots configuration (since I chose to aircool the CPU with a Scythe Big Shiriken 3 and a full size Cooler Master MasterFan MF120 Halo, it fits with the full mesh version), but I think I'll be able to use your cable management trick anyway. I understand you chose a 26mm nut under the riser because the original one is 6mm, and you added 20mm because it's the thickness of a GPU slot. So if I use 11mm nuts under the riser and add 5mm nuts under the horizontal bars holding the GPU (6mm difference), I should be able to hide flat PSU cables under the GPU, and still mount my GPU correctly. Could be 8mm and 14mm, I'll try different sizes.

I've got the Meshlicious too and would love to do the same thing, got the Kraken which is 55mm high so according to specs it shouldn't fit but after seeing your build, it actually should, kind of confusing. How much space is left between the pump and the sidepanel for the build? Great video otherwise, subbed for awesome production quality!

    • @ghimtech
      @ghimtech  Před 3 lety

      tbh I think 61.8 is pushing it. The mesh panel did close properly with the CM ML240 illusion @ 57.8mm and there's an ever so slight bump (not really visible even from side angle), so I'm not sure if you can close if it's any more taller than the ML240. The glass won't close on the ML240 though.

    I will be doing custom sfx cables for this case just like you. What are the cable lengths do you recommend for the following to optimise the cable management?:
    1. 24 pin ATX
    2. 4/8 pin ATX
    3. 8 Pin PCIE
    4. Sata cables
    Many thanks beforehand!
    Update:
    500mm pcie and atx cable is perfect.
    Also, be mindful that the 20mm mob standoff causes the pcie cable to be just a bit short of reach for the gpu (for 2.5 slots above) but stl doable with a slight gpu tilt.

    • @ghimtech
      @ghimtech  Před 3 lety

      I would say 50cm for both 24pin and eps. Pcie depends really on the position of the pcie port of your gpu, 50cm should be fine. Sata probably for your rgb/fan controller, a short 10cm will do as you’ll be placing any controllers/ssd at the bottom.

      Small GPU will actually look awkward in the Meshlicious ngl. • @ghimtech
      @ghimtech  Před 3 lety +1

      yeah it does look weird from the way they roll out to different countries, but I guess it's mostly due to shipping issues that are plaguing the world right now. • @ghimtech
      @ghimtech  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes the fans being inside and outside did make some difference eventhough in exhaust. With the fan being inside, hot air are being exhausted out quicker due to less restrictions (instead of being in between radiator fins). It’s not a big difference but there’s still some. Surely it’ll be easier for cables with the fans the other side, but the placement that I showed on the video still gives the best thermals overall.
