- Donna has no idea what to do with the Coastal Motors memo she signed and struggles to find a way to protect herself and Harvey from the potential fallout of this huge oversight.
Season 2, Episode 6 "Break Point": Hoping to get in front of Travis Tanner's fraud lawsuit, Daniel brings in razor-sharp outside attorney Allison Holt to take on the case. Of course, Harvey being Harvey, he tries to get the suit dropped on his own, only realizing too late that his maneuvering has left the firm in a weaker position. Having discovered the memo, Donna agonizes over how best to protect both herself and Harvey. But Mike soon infers what is going on and though he feels for Donna, he makes it clear that if she doesn't tell Harvey, he will.

I love how Mike calls Donna's bluff and goes for the folder
The reason she didn’t tell Harvey about the file is cause then she’d have to admit she messed up. That she isn’t perfect. That she isn’t “Donna”
She made this mistake out of the desire to protect him
@@ilina84107messed up in losing it in the first place… it had her time stamp
@@efrainlopez6057It had her time stamp and no one would have thought that the best secretary had lost a document.
They would say that Harvey ordered her to hide it and because Harvey was accused withheld evidence in the C. Denis case, his career would be over.
@ilina84107 it still doesn't make sense to destroy it, especially since Mike knew about it.The writing here was bad.
@@ilina84107 you calling her the best secretary to excuse her destroying it is right on par with the characters ideology, MISTAKES HAPPEN
I hated Donna so much here . She shredded the document after Mike explicitly told her not to and then in stead of owning her blunder , acted all high and mighty like she did everyone a favour
I don't like how Donna tried to bring up Mike's situation just because she messed up
That's what would happen in real life, though. It's human nature - we lash out when we panic, and we panic when we feel like the walls are closing in on us. Even Donna, perfect as she usually is, isn't immune to that.
Right on
@@JonathonJackson70it’s because she’s a woman
I feel like at 5:10 Jessica knew Mike knew something about the memo
oh she knew but also knew harvey would take care of it and she would find out later
i'll never forgive Harvey for not taking the elevator down w/Donna.
One valuable lesson ive learned from this show, never ever go to the bathroom at work. You basically avoid all the drama.
If Harvey hadn't gotten a cup of coffee in the morning, he would be in prison for perjury.
Many here do not truly understand the value of an assistant like Donna. Yes, she made a mistake. Yes it was a crime. But she believed she was protecting the 1 person who she would NEVER turn her back on. Loyalty is priceless. So FORGIVENESS is what Harvey owed her. And protecting her in return was what I would have done in his shoes. Right or wrong, everyone makes mistakes. Everyone deserves 2nd chances. I would have settled and then offered to resign and take Donna with me. They started together. They should end together. But that is me.
I remember liking the fact that they did the right thing in firing her but the way she was brought back didn't really make any sense other than Harvey was "getting Donna back" even though she was fired for cause.
Jessica knew that Harvey would bring her back because he knew what Donna meant to him.
The way Jessica looked when Harvey said he was bringing Donna back and the way Jessica and Donna interacted when Donna went back to work left me with the impression that Donna was sacrificed to appease Hardman and in other circumstances she wouldn't have fired her.
@@mia989-ms5vo agreed but it would have been better if they had found out that someone planted the document and destroyed it blaming Donna then it makes it more plausible for them to hire her back. Any other company she wouldn’t have gotten a second chance
@@Rheinmeister09 It's more about the relationship between Harvey and Donna because she's not just a secretary to him. She is partner ,friend, confidant, a special person and she deserved a second chance because loyalty is a two-way street.
@@mia989-ms5voGretchen did her job better, and to Donna’s own fears Harvey really started to move on without her when she went to work for Louis. So she kept meddling. Harvey would do great without Donna.
The reason he was able to bring her back in b/c Hartman was behind the whole thing. He forged Donna's signature, buried the document and let Donna take the fall for it.
I still hate Harvey for not talking to Donna on his own,
literally the only thing they had to do was "oh wait we HAVE this file, so it couldn't have been buried. look it's right here we aren't burying anything" and it would've worked
He would be accused of withholding evidence. Harvey has been accused of hiding evidence in the past and who would have thought he wouldn't do it again?
Donna should've stayed fired
Seriously! I couldn't stand her in the later seasons
@@jonathanvega4514 her and Samantha
@@jmanuelvillalobos4971Facts
Especially after she claimed to be with the NTSB
Couldn't agree more
Donna should've been fired and stay fired
I just don’t get it why the writers made Donna this “all knowing” secretary. First season she was just perfect. It’s like Joey getting dumber and dumber every season in Friends.
😮
Donna wass the worst thing that ever happened to harvey
Only reason Donna was anything was cause of Harvey
Well this is a misogynistic view. Donna gave up her dreams to become an actress to help advance Harvey’s career, because he asked her to work for him after they left the DA’s office. Donna helped build Harvey’s career (they were a partner). He couldn’t have been anything without her (and they even mentioned that in the show, on multiple occasions).
@@aethei8560 Harvey never made her give up her dreams. It’s a fact the only reason she got anywhere was cause of Harvey. Jessica would’ve never made her coo.
He would’ve been successful without her. Maybe not as much but def would be. Donna was just a secretary
I don't know if she gave up her dream but I do know that Donna's skillset compliments Harvey's. Neither can fulfill the tasks the other can. Support staff are critical. Unfortunately they remain undervalued.
@@jessedellross3245He didn't stop her, but he manipulated her with a huge salary that he lied about that the company was paying her to make sure that she wouldn't look for something else and wouldn't leave his office.
Yep. But, Donna fans hate facts and would rather scream misplaced accusations such as “misogynistic views” 🤣
2:09 that is not beeing cool and confident and playing it of or professional, that is disgusting behavior on her part an gaslighting at its finest. 🤢
Great actress. Disgusting personal character trait right here. Ughhhh stop it 2:45
