There's a few things I like about this video. First, you didn't f it up with stupid music, you didn't fill it with a whole bunch of unnecessary b/s, you're also quite concise, I don't think you left any stones unturned.

Don't ever let the rinsing water be hotter than your dipping water, otherwise you risk de-coloring your print !

Good DIY video but one one major thing you guys failed to mention is that this process only works on Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) plastics. If you follow this same process on a parts made of polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PET), or Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) plastics, I can guarantee that the person following the process will have problems. The reason the process will not work on the other plastics is because every plastic except ABS needs to be "FLAME TREATED" to "out-gas" the release agents stuck in the plastics during the molding process. You need to identify the type of plastic you are working on First. All molded plastics have one identifiers mentioned above on the backside of the part. If you follow the instructions in this video and you are working with anything but ABS, you will get lifting during the painting process, separation during the dipping process and lifting at some point after the process......guaranteed! If you don't know what type of plastic you have "flame treat" the part to be safe.

Showed this to my students today and they really want to give this a go, how do you fancy a little trip to the UK and doing a lesson or two?. I think we will start off with the the basic hydro dipping of shoes then move onto bigger and better things. loved how you clearly explained each stage. Full marks for presentation.

Okay, I guess I'm the only one bothered by the fact that no one has ever Ajaxed that sink - ever. I wouldn't dip in that...there's rust & all sorts of other (lord knows what) contaminates from that sink in the water. Regardless, I'm starting to get into hydro-dipping & your guy's video came up. Gracias, good luck in future endeavors.
