In Hell's Kitchen, two teams compete for the prestigious job of head chef at a top restaurant, all under the guidance of world-class fiery chef Gordon Ramsay. - Zábava
Sterling currently works in a hospital cafeteria. The same hospital that saved several of his family members.
I hope he wears his Hell’s Kitchen jacket
And he turned down a job opportunity from Gordon to continue working there
@@Mcplayer5000 quite respectfully if i may add
@@Mcplayer5000 said he doesn’t work for the paycheck, he works for the passion
Where is this hospital, and what can I do to get an overnight stay there?
Sterling was a contestant everyone should take note of. Always happy, very calm person and didn’t get into childish arguments.
He's the opposite of how Gordon treats Raj
@@RumbleRyan well, he's pretty much the opposite of Raj as well 😅
@@janwettstein7644 Sterling is confident, Raj is insecure. Gordon treats Sterling like respect, Gordon treats Raj like garbage. Sterling is reliable, Raj is forgetful. Sterling is perfect at making sure food is cooked, Raj is terrible at making sure food is cooked
@@RumbleRyan Part of me thinks they have one thing in common:
They had plot armor to a certain degree. Raj was obviously kept in the show for comedic reasons, everybody knew that the from the first day.
And sterling... you can't kick him out early, even if it was pretty clear that working for Gordon was a bit above his level of skill.
But I think that Raj's plot armor came from the writers while Sterling's was just an agreement between everyone to not kick him out, because he was a pleasure to have in the show. Both for the contestants and the viewers.
Take a note if you want to be a loser... Just a happy loser. Haha
The fact that other competitors were sad/crying to see Sterling leave tells you everything you need to know about him as a person.
Dont believe it, they were just happy it wasnt them going home

Man. Sterling's elimination always gets me in tears. But when he smiles and hugs Gordon Ramsay after allowing him to keep his jacket that made smile too. He's such a lovable man!
Yeah he really is
Chef Ramsay (and many other restaurants) gave sterling offers too but he declined them to work at a hospital. Any employer is lucky to have him
@@SanjiEastBlue what an awesome man dude. i bet the patients at that hospital are joyful to have someone like him!
Sterling is 💯
.. Loom Omm
I love how everyone is laughing at Elsie’s soup, but as soon as Gordon compliments it, their smiles vanish, and when she wins, they’re destroyed lol
Consider the editor's work in exaggerating the cut, there could be edited to make the interaction like that.
@@thetaminus2334 Not really, considering the way they treat her afterwards
I mean you can’t edit their faces AS Gordan is talking so you see them all stop smiling.
I don’t know about everyone, I feel like it was mainly Jessica
I’m pretty Micheal just always looks like that
It’s always a second day soup for the win man 🤙🏻
When Gordon said Sterling wasn't ready, he was still smiling. What a genuinely wholesome person the guy is
if you didn't tear up for sterling, you aren't human.
"He is currently cooking at a cafeteria at Saint Thomas Midtown to give back to the hospital that gave his adoptive mom a lifesaving heart operation and is treating his sister's cancer."
I didn’t
@@samosman123 goes to show you how much good guy he still is
I didn't tear up.
However, I DID smile.
Sterling is a wonderful human being, no doubt about it!
Dave, Declan, and Sterling are three of the best male chefs or best in general in "Hell's Kitchen" history. It's more then just food. Their attitude, they're genuine, not fake, and unapologetically themselves.
Dave: Worked harder than anybody with an injured wrist.
Declan: Humble, genuine, and just himself.
Sterling: His infectious and positive attitude. Hope he's still keeping it 100.
You're forgetting Petrozza
I would throw in Petrozza for how he helped Lou Ross.
sterling got offers from top end restaurants but he works as a hospital cook now as a way to give back
@@jz4163 It's unfortunate he passed away a few years ago.
@@realmtraveller Ah come on, it's not like he wasn't big enough of a legend already. Man that guy deserves big amounts of happiness in his everyday life.
I love how at 19:02, Ramsey walks over to the other side of the room so Nicole doesn't feel intimidated or trapped. A relatively small detail but one I definitely noticed, and shows how thoughtful he can be.
Nice observation. Although we could argue he’s only doing it because not doing it would getting canceled
I remember him screaming in girls faces in the early seasons calling them fat cows and throwing stuff at them
It's a psychological effect. By leaving her with access to the door and cornering himself, he puts her at ease. If he stood in front of the door, her brain interprets it as cutting off her means of escape, and it would make her nervous. An advanced management technique you learn in a restaurant, although it's mostly used to de-escalate angry customers.
Or a sign of him growing as a person. We all do! Who I am at 40 is nothing like who I was at 20.
Over analyze much.
@@NationalSportsEntertainmentNSE if we were misogynist shitheads we could certainly argue that. the idea that a man would only respect a woman so he doesn't get "cancelled" (as if that's even a real fucking thing) is disgusting.
With how much he always yells and gets upset it's genuinely kinda euphoric to just see the man be happy for this long 😭
Gordon Ramsay is apparently not THAT much of an angry ass in person. While he is like most well known chefs, very demanding and expects the best, he is not an asshole without reason.
@@theduck2970 And he never was, at most he'd make a smart remark, but other than that he's always had valid a reason to be upset, whether it be because of disrespectful workers, horrible food, or a dirty restaurant/kitchen.
@@theduck2970 People need to get out of their head that Ramsey is just a complete hothead for absolutely no reason.
@@Absalom3439 I'm not sure if this is directly referring to me but I assure you I realize Ramsay always has valid reasons to be upset or criticize. My comment was just saying I like seeing Ramsay happy when he's upset at so many idiots on so many of my favorite shows of his (Hell's Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, Hotel Hell)
@@deadevermore4741 No, I wasn't referring to you. I just stated how people seemed to act when ramsey gets upset, if It seemed like I was referring to you I apologize.
Gordon only gets so angry because he cares so much. When he compliments, it's the love with the same heart.
Have to say, I love the chicken soup woman, came onto a show with elaborate dishes and arrogant chefs and served a winning dish
(Plus the other woman’s expressions were hilarious)
I mean, a good chicken soup can brighten up anyone's day.
Yeah Jessica seemed so perplexed that it could possibly be good. But for all we know they just edited it that way
@@josephcantu3562 i don’t see how they could’ve edited it like that tbh. I mean it’s natural that she would be hoping to win and therefore hoping others lose
Didn't Gordon just before say that her food looked bad, but tasted good. She should have known better. Smug is a suit that doesn't fit anyone.
They were hating, they fucked her up on the next dinner service and let her drown. They were salty she won with a chicken soup even though the challenge was about using left overs and she used the most.
The rollercoaster of emotions for Jessica, I almost feel bad lmao. She was HUMBLED in those 60 seconds
14:00 Jessica looking SMUG
14:30 Jessica looking perplexed
15:00 Jessica's MAD
That made me laugh how she switched up like that 😂
I think 14:18 is more accurate than 14:00
The first batch of Masterchef was iconic lol. There were a lot of manipulation, betrayal, regrets, and drama from what I remember.
Michael Wray (I think) the first winner of MC was offered to work for Gordon or receive the cash. He chose cash and (didn't receive it fully I think?) and his life crashed, restaurant went down, got divorced, kids and wife left him, got addicted to dr*gs and almost died. But he was found, healed, and made a food truck, wanted to help fellow dr*g addicts. I don't know if I'm correct and hasn't been following his story. It's been years. I wonder how he is now.
Ramsay to most eliminated contestants: "Take your jacket off and get out."
Ramsay to Sterling: "Whatever you want."

For those who don't know, Sterling now cooks for a hospital to help his community even further.
“A vegetarian dish in Hell’s Kitchen?.. No wayyyy” - a girl who served a vegetarian tofu soup 💀
That was a vegetarian challenge where T served that tofu soup

@@TheGamingChannelTyler What a top grade person! Love to hear that!
What i love about Gordon is he doesn't yell cause he likes it he yell cause he CARES and he knows how to give the most heartwarming compliments ever. Thats how you know he's not just a yelling machine but a great human
I feel like its worse if he DOESN'T yell at you. To me at least if he doesn't yell when you mess up, he's given up on you.
Seeing Gordon Ramsay happy in Hell’s Kitchen, is like seeing a blue pearl come out of a random oyster: not impossible, but definitely rarer than you’d think.
Eh, I always thought it WAS rare to see Gordon happy in HK.
when even GORDON is asking how you did something so well, you know you've made it as a chef
Surprised that Rochelle's elimination didn't make the cut in this list. She literally made him laugh and put quite the smile on his face. His compliment to her in a previous service should be included too
“You’ll always be 💯 to me.” What a genuine comment from Gordon
If Joy hadn’t given up and walked out mid-service she definitely could have won her season
She would've no doubt
100% Joy would have won that season...she was leagues above everyone else. It's a huge shame that she just randomly lost her damn mind and quit.
Yup. Joy's elimination is probably up there with one of the saddest because it's just such a waste of talent and she was so close, only to throw it all away over a brief stumble on halibut. Scott has grown on me as a winner, but man, it still sucks that Joy didn't even make it to the final 2
@@Commenter839 That said, the position also requires mental resilience, so the fact she gave up when she did indicates she was not suitable for the job (at that time) and therefore should not have won. Also for her own sake: imagine breaking down in a position as a headchef and perhaps turning to substances in order to keep going despite herself. I hope she is happier now, making a good living for herself and enjoying her life.
Knowing what Sterling does now after cooking in hells kitchen, he continues to prove he's an amazing person. He could have gotten a job at a high level place cooking but he cooks at a hospital and helps people.
Somewhere in the multiverse, there’s a version of Gordon that’s always like this
Heaven’s Kitchen
@@officialFredDurstfanclubhere all the food's terrible because no one is motivated to try harder.

He's not an asshole, he's just a perfectionist. It would be a bit unnerving someone swearing and belittling you, but anyone who has worked under a French chef, this is tissue paper, and in English. 🙂
Making Gordon Ramsay smile with your food must be an achievement of a lifetime for chefs.
Happy Gordon is much scarier than angry Gordon, because it is so unusual and you don't know what may happen next.
Steriling is the guy you least expected to become a fan favorite. He really grew on me. Even though we knew he wasn’t better than the other cooks, just couldn’t help but want him around.
Whoever did the title and the thumbnail of this video seems to really love their job.
It's Gordon himself
It's like the kitchen nightmares channel. The serious titles are done by someone else, the shitposty ones are done by Ramsay

4:24 - Patroza: “Yes Chef!”
Gordon:
“For now long Idgaf if you work like a pig as long as you keep the meats excellent..”
*😂😂😂* so funny!
These will be played at his funeral. The only 20 full minutes of this man’s life where he was every happy.
It's not all of the happy moments. Just 20 minutes of them. Many, many, many happy/smiling/wholesome Hell's Kitchen moments aren't in this.
That clip of Sterling is the fuckin best. His genuine smile and care when he asks if he can hug everybody before he goes (when they cut it off in this video) always makes my day
Seeing the expressions of other chefs shift whenever other people get complimented is so fascinating, especially the four cooks that made meals out of left overs with fancy dishes and a girl with chicken soup won lmao, that bitter look was hilarious
Man, T always brings a smile to my face.
Me too.
At 6:53 T is like "shit, that meat does look fuckin good" 🤣
Shame she fell off in Season 18.
I love how people's eye light up when they hear a compliment from Ramsay. I'm sure a lot of the contestants, like a lot of other people, have this impression that all he does is scream, but he only screams at the people who need it and pretty much only yells at them to get them to do better because they are better.
For example, the way Sterling tells Ramsay that this was the opportunity of his lifetime with extreme gratefulness just warmed my heart. Ramsay really does a lot for these small chefs. I mean just look at Joy at 10:00, she literally cries it means so much to her and her team is happy af for her.
“If you love what you do, you’ll never work another day in your life.”
Even though Chef Ramsay is hard on the contestants, he knows they have the potential to be amazing. Well done everyone. 👍👍👍
To feel great for Chef Ramsey, being happy is the best feeling to ever have.
Contestant: "I did [strange/unorthodox technique] to the dish"
Ramsay: "You did _what_ to the dish?"
Ramsay: _Tastes the dish_
Like 5 different competitors in the cutaways: "Who the actual fuck does that? That's the most stupid idea I've ever heard"
Ramsay: "That's quite delicious, actually. Well done!"
I don't care how cliché that's become on the show, I still get a high from it every time.
Seeing Sterling always makes me smile because even though it usually cones with elimination, keeping your jacket is one of the greatest signs of respect in hell's kitchen, obviously at the end if the day the goal is to become the next whatever at Gordon's restaurant so he has to make decisions like this but Sterling is one of the few who earned that jacket and deserved the keep it. Another who comes to mind is Ji.
Even in a 20 minute video where he’s being happy, he still manages to last only 3 & a half minutes without complaining
We need more people like Stirling in this world. So many negative people and he is one guy that can make you feel better even when your down
You know when ALL of your competitors are legit sad you're gone, you are a phenomenal person.
*The Thumbnail is Perfection.*
Whenever Gordon Ramsay gets happy, you know you did a Great Job.
This chef is so nice. I'd be down to watch this show with grandma! Wholesome and innocent!
Sterling always brings a smile to my face whenever I see him.
"You're not ready yet" might be the most positive way to say "You're not good enough, but I believe you'll reach that level."
You can bet the house that Sterling will be in this type of video!
@Golden Coin RIP Petrozza (Cause of Death: Lung Cancer Disease)
After Sterling left Chef Ramsey offered him a job but, Sterling didn't take Gordon up on his offer. He joined The Slider House as a Chef before moving to The Palisades Restaurant. He took part in a HK Takeover in May 2018.
Sterling is currently cooking at a cafeteria at Saint Thomas Midtown to give back. The hospital gave his adoptive mom a lifesaving heart operation and is treating his sisters cancer.
Sterling will eternally be my favorite contestant on this series ever!! Love his energy and enthusiasm for life in general!!
Gordon Ramsay being happy: 20 minutes
Gordon Ramsay being angry: probably 10 hours idk
Gordon’s anger definitely seems to have subsided in the later seasons.
Life goes one of two ways in older age: you let go of the anger or you let go of yourself
His standards did too, first three seasons would never ever allow 90% of shit he did allow in the later ones
@@looinrims he just wants the customers fed these days. He doesn't care if it's not perfect anymore. He just wants it good. Not great. 💔
FOX told him to lower his temper after many people complained of becoming depressed after leaving the show and it also probably has to do with every contestant having to take a psych eval after leaving as well.
@@looinrimsIf his standards did drop I barely noticed as it was less than 2%

seeing gordon happy is more wholesome than i thought it would be
That thumbnail is cursed simply because of that clip art smile.
true
Up to this day, it still burns me that Sterling didn't get his hand on a prestigious Black Jacket
He's living his best life though according to some other comments
A saw another commenter say and I somewhat agree, keeping a blue or red jacket might actually be more impressive than keeping a black one. Once you're in the black it means you've already proven yourself to some extent, the rest have been weeded out, but keeping red or blue means you managed to make such a positive impression on Gordon so early in the competition.
That Petrozza guy's interaction with Gordon. Sometimes you do realise Gordon is more than a monster and he does care to give positive review
This video warms my heart, to see Gordon appreciate the people that tried their best and ended up doing good.
