Ned didn't send anybody after Tyrion, he sent them after Ser Gregor Clegaine, the Mountain (the one who killed the horse.) He is also the Lannister's mad dog.

That conversation between Robert and Cersei is the only time that they ever seem to genuinely connect, even if it only lasted for a brief moment.
To explain why the Mountain lost and then cut off his horse's head.
The knight of flowers was using a female horse which was in heat, so the Mountain's stallion was distracted, also part of the victory conditions for jousting is if you unhorse your opponent you win his horse, so the Mountain was pissed at losing his horse and the horse costing him victory
Also, a massive horse like that would've been a good prize back then because they make excellent warhorses. Gregor chose it because it would've been one of the few that could carry him, but warhorses were treated better than infantrymen for the most part.

@@fordhouse8bit’s a fictional universe based on a time period of our history, other than the (spoiler alert) magic in the show it’s mostly based on medieval fantasy loosely
So there is definitely elements from that time period, especially something like a warhorse
@@Storm20916 Even better, the whole conflict is based on, or at least heavily inspired by the Wars of the Roses, so that makes it even more in line with real history, and not just completely unrelated fantasy. To be fair, most fantasy IS in some part based on history. The whole nobles and peasants serving kings being the most recurring theme among others. Like, that IS history. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know history.
Jason Mamoa did such a good job playing Khal Drogo. He is a physically imposing guy, but he also did a great job acting with his eyes and face and saying very little verbally. When he kills Viserys III with the melted gold, he drops down to his level and makes direct eye contact. Dude nails the challenging body language lol.

Funny because the ironborn became the joke and outcasts of the 7 kingdoms because they were too stubborn and arrogant to give up their honor (pride). They used to rule the riverlands but now they rule a couple small islands

This is a really great series. I've watched it twice. It gets much much better and is an emotional roller coaster ride. You won't regret watching this series.

Season 1 is adapted from 1000 page book so theres a lot that is glossed over or easy to miss. This story is wildly complicated.
"Alt shift x" has a great youtube channel that gives a lot of important context to the series. Highly recomend checking out his episode recaps.

What's happening with the editing? Audio in particular.
The first season is introducing the characters & some conflict between them.
The rest of the seasons gets into the nitty-gritty.
The guy with the bow and arrow who shot the other guy is Theon Greyjoy. You'll learn more about him later.
Joffrey's back-and-forth feelings for Sansa are an example of his impulsive, instant gratification narcissism. Like everything he just turns on a dime when the mood suits him. Similar to most abusers.
Oh Asia, I love how you were still looking through your fingers when Khal Drogo gave Viserys his crown. That THUD when Viserys's head hits the ground is just SOOOO SATISFYING.😉And then..."You can't sit with us." 😆

My brother hooked me on the show. He had read the books as they came out, and knew about...stuff. He even met GRR Martin at a convention before the show, so he wasn't famous, so my brother could have a nice long talk with him, which he did.
Good upload guys. Dont listen to the complainers. There's just one thing you might want to work on. Distorting the audio of the show to prevent strikes is fine, just have your mics audio on another file that way they don't both get distorted together.
Ned Stark and Jaime Lannister squaring off in Kings Landing is such an underrated scene in this show. The way they built the tension between the Starks and Lannisters before violence breaks out was so good. It's hard to believe these are the same show runners who gave us season 7 and 8. If Asia and BJ are reading this the Stark-Lannister conflict is loosely based on the war of the roses between house York and house Lancaster.
Season 5 and 6 are a mess too and laid the ground work for the end of the season.
@@Cream-2128 Season 5 was okay. It's a noticeable dip in quality but still decent. Season 6 was bad but entertaining to the normies because of the nonsensical battle of the bastards and female empowerment. I agree 5 and 6 were the beginning of the end bit 7 amd 8 completely abandoned the source material and the character development they've been building up.

Also 6 is popular just because like you said the battles and cinematography was really good. Also you finally see some of the people you were rooting for finally start to get some wins too. The whole Ramsay and Cersei stuff was just bad though
@@Cream-2128 There are strong characters in the book yeah but they're well written characters with flaws. The strong empowered women in GOT 6-8 already have all the answers. They won't listen to advice, they're selfish, they're entitled. Sansa is a good example. The show tells us how amazing she is without her having earned it.
@@jackthehat1093 Sansa is not a good example Cersei is. She does nothing in the show yet somehow she becomes queen. Cersei and Ramsay are the absolute worse in the later seasons the plots literally make no sense with them. The only thing. With Sansa is they just give her intelligence out the blue and the sun ass writing saying she learned from Cersei. Learned what how to be an idiot? Cersei was never even in charge while Sansa was there.
I think it would help some to get a visual map, the names of all the houses and characters just to keep track of what is what & who is who because I'm telling y'all goanna need by the second season. As the show progresses so many characters are constantly revolving, and it can get tricky.

Tywin is the head of the lannisters. The father of Tyrion, Jamie and Cersei. Ned calling him to court is a major move, because the Lannisters are the richest of all the noble families. Aside from the king himself, Tywin is the most powerful man in all the kingdoms.
(He hasn’t been shown in the show yet, personally my favorite character, though)

Ned suspects that Joffery is not the king's son that's all. Dany didn't burn but the reason for that you will see in the next episode if I remember correctly not sure. As for the eggs? yes Dragon eggs hatch in fire but at times it takes a while for them to hatch and some don't hatch at all. The ones she has are the last three dragon eggs to ever exsist in the realm cause all the others died out when King's Landing was owned by the other families after Dany;s family was all wipped out. Dany's brother had that coming for sure and yes she was eating a horse's heart in the ritual.
Arya was always my favorite. Since the first episode. Later, she became my late husband's favorite. Of course, afterward, I tricked him into watching it. He watched it twice before he passed . He liked her too.

Joffrey Baratheon is the prince but he is not the king’s son. That’s what that book Ned was reading referred to. Joffrey father is Jaime Lannister (the king slayer) and his mother is the Queen Cersei Lannister. It’s a secret.
The Hound, guy with the burnt face, is my second favorite character in the show behind Arya.
Blood is thicker than water. Never underestimate someone who is given the gift of knowledge, unearned, like Terian? Lanister. It would not have been his choice if it weren't for his stature. He will always use self-interest and preservation in the end. They should have honored Sam who earned his knowledge unconditionally and to unconditionally conveyed it. You end up being lower than a dog when you believe his self-interest and preservation is your own or going to be extended to you.😂

I swear, these guys react to the *best* movies and TV shows. I’m not sure if they’re just selecting things at will or if they’re taking suggestions from subscribers, but it’s working! If you haven’t already, I’d recommend the movies Shawn of the Dead and Hot Fuzz (Hot Fuzz is literally a motion picture masterpiece, but watching SotD first might be beneficial as it’ll give you a flavour of what Hot Fuzz is like so you’re prepared for thr unique style).

Robert Baratheon (House sigil, Stag), the present King, who won the Throne in civil war after the killing of the Mad King,
wants Daenerys and her unborn child DEAD DEAD DEAD!
This will possibly prevent another civil war, and the possible loss of the Throne by House Baratheon.

I was very fortunate when I started watching this, someone sent me a flowchart of all the names and houses and what the relationships are. Otherwise, I could never have kept up lol
Ned Stark would have rather had his head on the spike then tell the truth whether that would have got his head put on a spike or not. Ned Stark knew everything including the hypocrisy of calling Jaime Lannister the kingslayer. You live by the sword you die by The sword and he who passes the sentence swings the sword. Fitting for someone like him.
So glad to see y'all getting into GOT. Its confusing in the beginning but every episode reveals something new. I am a GOT addict. LOL. Be sure to watch the reunion shows after you finish the series. Great to see the characters talk about filming, their characters, how the show effected their lives, and what they're doing now. I think every part was perfectly cast for this series, and the reunion show is a fun watch.

Tyrion is the dwarf. Tywin is the patriarch of the Lannister family (we haven't met him yet). He is the father of Cersei (Robert's queen), Jamie (the blond swordsman), and Tyrion.
I let it slide for the sake of entertainment but gold melts at 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. Well above the melting point of the iron kettle it was poured from in the episode and that fire was nowhere near hot enough to do that let alone in the time given. Just watch gold being melted on any smelting video to learn what I am talking about. Thanks for the video!

Read the first book 20 some years ago, read the (incomplete 🤬 series at least 5 times) and I STILL find it difficult to follow along with all of the intricacies of who wants to kill who- and who wants to ally with someone before they kill them 😂 Y’all are doing as excellent as can be following along on this complicated crazy and sometimes downright confusing journey! You’re doing better than me and I have the books underneath my belt!

If I seemed a bit adamant about them avoiding spoilers it was because I've seen other reactors who didn't catch all the GOT plots like Jamie and Cersei's relationship, only for that reveal to be spoiled for them in the YT comments section instead of an on-camera reaction. And it sucked to be robbed of that.

I never thought I would like this show and it sounded like you guys were skeptical about it as well. Now you’re hooked it seems just like I was at this point when I first watched it. As I said before you might be lost as to who is who and who is related to others and in what way but it will eventually all start to click.

Jamie Lanister is called The King Slayer because he killed Danyris father who was the former King. That's why King Robert wants Danyris and her brother dead. They have a real claim to the throne.
Tywin is Jamie, Cercei and Tyrion's father.
There are so many excellent HBO shows, GoT, Deadwood, Barry, Six Feet Under.

Rhaegar Targaryen (Killed by Robert Baratheon at the battle of the Trident. Robert believes that Rhaegar raped and murdered Lyanna Stark who was Neds sister)
Viserys Targaryen (Died this episode via molten crown)
Daenarys Targaryen
These 3 would have a rightful claim to the throne.
This is why Robert Baratheon wants them all dead.
