Mew VMAX has once again shown itself to be nearly immune to counters, rotation, and new decks entering the format. The original Fusion Strike Pokemon is as strong as ever with this list.

Great breakdown. Im also playing Pablo's list but with 1 of cylenne, arven, cleansing gloves and lost city over avery, fan of waves and 1 ofs the choice belt and vacuum. Pretty good arven equity especially going second turn 1 he can find 2 vips with vip + forest seal
Mew & Genesect are some of my many favourite pokemon so I really like this deck and it goes hard. I wish I could have this deck, but it's 2023 right now and fusion strike is hard to find 😢 This tutorial was great, keep up the good work!

Love this list its super oppressive with the path vacuums and judge just absolutely obliterated a lugia match on tcgl with this list they were only able to get one attack off because they couldn't get out the archeops and had to manually attach
It would be great if you could break down more common decks like you did with this one, for us beginners this is of great value...
I like 3 genesects 2 mew vmax for attack and switch and 1 mew v for the leap.
Definitely agreed - that’s what I’ve found myself landing on lately!
Sometimes I like to play agressive with 4 genesects and 2 vmaxes
4 genecect v and 3 mew vmax is the only good way you can play consistently in the current format
RIP Mew VMAX deck died 2024 when fusion strike got banned (it was my fav deck)
it was such a great list and archetype; missing it in the meta rn!

Hey, I have this exact mew deck myself with the same cards as you. Quick question, Would you recommend this version or the mew/meloetta version for competitive/tournaments/competing in worlds? Whats better?
Mew/Meloetta would definitely be the way to go due to how easily splashable Spiritomb from Paldea Evolved is - Fusion Strike Energy is your only defense against that card, so you need it to make Mew viable

Hi! Personally, i think that 1 Featherball is about as many as you'd want to run; discarding with Ultra Ball is good 90% of the time when you want to dump cards from your hand that are otherwise unplayable so that you can draw more off of Genesect, but if you've found 2+ Featherball to be helpful, it could absolutely be good!

The box of destruction is cool, but has it won you games consistently? They can play around it by gusting a different mew/genesect
it's definitely more of a "nice-to-have" and could probably get swapped for Fan of Waves
Best way to use it is after your opponent has knocked out 1Vmax. They then either need to boss 2 Genesect or 2 hit your Mew. If they OHKO it with Zacian you can force the game into sudden death, which highly favors Mew
@@ftb5786 bossing 2 genesect isn’t too impossible with most lists playing 1 boss 1 Serena 1 pal pad. I don’t think the tech is bad it’s cute actually, it’s just easy to play around
What do you think of the 1 oricorio?
I think it has potential to be really strong in the right meta, but is less relevant at the moment and can be a liability on the bench for Sableye

Just started collecting Pokémon cards and was thinking about making a psychic deck since i got some good cards from go and fusion strike.
I was gonna download the game on my phone and play around on there to get a feel for how to actually play.

I play a homemade version of mew vmax that includes:
1 radiant eternatus
1 latios FST (anti vmax)
4 genesect V
1 Mew V
3 Mew vmax
The trainers are pretty the same
that is some SPICE - i might have to give that a shot!!
@@gym9tcg Yeah, you have to. I think that radiant eternatus is underrated in vmax decks like mew

What if all your energy gets prized
That would be a huge problem for sure, but statistically that should only happen once in every 10000 games. It’s likely that you’ll prize 1 copy in a lot of games, but you should always have at least one in the deck to get you going
people in my locals have 2 drapions just because we are minor community in the area XD, so i stop for now
That’s one of the few ways that mew gets crushed, great call for now!!
