    I’m trying to figure out the best answer for Charizard. I saw an Accelgor list online that’s intriguing but I’ll have to try your heavy supporter and path build!

      As I was editing, I saw someone trying to jam in Accelgor. Idk if I'm sold on it but again " big brain tech" does exist . If there's a Mew, there's a way.
      Hope it serves you well fellow Mew enjoyer ✊️

    I´m preparing my Mew VMAX deck for my locals in 3 weeks. This video will help me a lot! Thanks for sharing it with me.
    I´m not a native speaker, so I did not understand why I should use Eiscue instead of Deoxys.
    Kind regards from germany!

    Oh how the tables have turned. I remember you saying path+spirit tomb would make the mew matchup free for Giratina but doesn't seem like it anymore lol.

      No one used spiritomb in their giratina deck sadly 😔

    • @goonsquadtcg
      @goonsquadtcg  Před 11 měsíci +2

      When I Play Tina, I still include Spiritomb. I've definitely grown from the previous video in that it's no longer as free as it once was. I still advocate playing it in Tina as it makes Lugia (your tough match up) even less consistent. As for how it handles Mew, I expect people to know how to play around it. I think low supporter builds of Mew can be easily punished by Tomb+Path. When I play Mew, I need more supporters for that very reason other wise you're prone to bricks 😁

      Of course man. Happy to help. DTE had it's moment, but I think Fusion is the last dance for Mew. If there's any disruptive elements you can carry forward, I certainly would. There's also plenty of innovation still coming forward as people just love this pink mouse thing so much

    Great job on this series as Mew VMAX and Lost Giratina are the only two decks that I piloted at local tournaments since rotation ( and probably until the next one ). I like the fact that you emphasized patience in playing, just because you can Fusion Strike doesnt mean one should do it especially when you might need a certain item card in the latter half of the game. What are your thoughts on Avery, especially when a number of Tier-1 decks rely on a big bench?

    • @goonsquadtcg
      @goonsquadtcg  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Thank you so much. They always take much longer than they look. It's always good to have a solid understanding of match ups. Funny thing is that they probably remain relevant for the rest of 2023. Patience is key. Knowing when to go full send or when to slow down separates good from great and good from average.
      I do like the consideration. If you expect to see alot of Gardevoir, Chien Pao, or anything with fragile set ups, I'd at least consider it. You have to time it after they evolve though to maximize it. Pair it with an extra lost city if you do. My only concern, though, is the strategy seems more reactive than a disruption+Path spam.
      The game is just so damn fast that if you can rattle their setup before they're in the game, you can keep them from ever clawing back. I'm not going to lie, I do constantly put Avery in Gardevoir and Mew to test their value. In mirrors, they're great cards. In 9/10 match ups, it's an easy discard. Hopefully that helps and good luck with your locals 😁

    • @pickleballcoachNYC
      @pickleballcoachNYC Před 10 měsíci +1

      @@goonsquadtcg - B, good luck as well. Because of your video, I might pilot Mew at my locals despite the heavy Charizard EX invasion. I might up the Path count because even when they evolve, they will not get the energy because of Path. As we learned today, Mew does not fear the Path, it was raised in it. Team PDP!!!

    Yup I need to play more with this deck because I just had a match against a giratina lost box and I could have probably have a better chance on winning if I play it differently in my opinion (the rng wasn't in my favor either I was having not good draws but that's part of the game)

    • @goonsquadtcg
      @goonsquadtcg  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Practicing the match-up definitely helps. It's closer to a 50/50 if the Tina pilot knows how to prize map. Sometimes you have those rough games. I hope the deck is treating you well

    Hello, thanks for the video ! I have 2 questions :
    How do you play against a lost box Kyogre ?
    How does Eiscue works with a power tablet ? Does it deal 70 damages for each fusion strike energy ?
    Thanks a lot if you can answer !

    • @goonsquadtcg
      @goonsquadtcg  Před 3 měsíci

      Hey there. Right now. You don't have to worry about Lost Box Kyogre. It's rotated out. Before, you would hold the Manaphy and watch their deck size. As it thins down below 20, it's a judgement call . How many Rods did they play, gates, and energy in discard pile. Can they reasonably bottom out the deck in one turn? If they can, bench that little sea God.
      If not, you have another tun.
      As for Eiscue, it deals 40 damage for each Fusion energy in play. The Power Tablet attack boost only applies to your opponents active unfortunately

      @@goonsquadtcg Thank you for your answer ! Actually, I worry about this deck because of the world championship decks sold a few weeks ago, and we used them with a friend and I was thinking about adding Eiscue ! If I understood well, if there's 2 fusion strike energies, it would deal 80 damages to one pokemon, but we cannot deal 40 damages to 2 pokemon, right ? And sorry for the silly question about the tablet, I just had to read ! 🙄😅

  • @lunat3ch
    @lunat3ch Před 10 měsíci

    If I am not wrong, spiritomb would not be an issue as long as you have fusion strike energy attached to your genesects?

    • @goonsquadtcg
      @goonsquadtcg  Před 10 měsíci

      You are correct. Putting fusion energy on Genesect is a mostly horrible, worst case scenario. If you disperse them, you're susceptible to Giacomo which was played in Inteleon/Urshifu along with Spiritomb. You want to usually place them on Mew to be aggressive and charge attackers

      I use one copy of Penny, lets me put genesect back into my hand. I prefer Penny over collapsed because
      1. It can be reused with pal pad
      2. It doesn't use up a stadium for turn so I can still play Path
      3. It can act as a switch out if a genesect is in the active without any way to get it out
      4. When it picks up used genesect, you can use its ability again when it goes back to the bench
      Just my thoughts!

    Drapion is the only real answer to this Deck. When people were playing drapion the deck wasnt doing as well. When everyone Dropped Drapion for Spiritomb Mew won worlds. Violence is the Answer

    • @goonsquadtcg
      @goonsquadtcg  Před 10 měsíci

      Violence is by far the only answer. I played double drapion in my Arceus decks for the longest time. It was not enough. Spiritomb can be disruptive, but they draw so many damn cards. I wouldn't be surprised if people ignore the deck, hope charizard keeps it down, and then it wins a big regional in September. The only ways to kill this deck is rotation, or throw the whole deck away 😆

    • @hiddenmosaic
      @hiddenmosaic Před 10 měsíci

      @@goonsquadtcg Honestly the deck is very beatable. Just kill 2 mews or 3 2 prizers. As long as you map your game out properly its fine. If you play Drapion vs this deck all you need to do is kill 1 mew and the drapion can take another. The mew will almost always be in the active spot throughout the course of a game, so its kind of easy to take advantage of that and smack a mew. Plus a lot of Mew Players get that invincible feeling and start spamming items that will be important later to draw cards and end up Losing cause of it. Also Charizard smacks Fusion mew into the Shadow realm cause to KO a charizard you NEED power tablets, and unless theyre running eiscue they cant take advantage of the Charizards bench full of Tiny pokemon. Plus if theyre playing accelgor they need to set that up too.
