- I test ride and comprehensively review a gorgeous 2015 Harley Davidson Softail Deluxe Twin Cam 103 B. I was quite surprised by this bike. Thanks to Kent Powersports for the opportunity to test ride the bike.

The most beautiful to look at Harley ever made (in my humble opinion).
You'll get no argument from me there! 🙂
I completely agree
This is what a motorcycle should look like. Gorgeous.
This might be one of your best ones yet. Granted, you had a good subject to work with but your editing was incredibly smooth. Damn near professional.
Thanks! I really appreciate the feedback. Fun bike to ride that’s for sure.
Very comprehensive video, Tripp! I recently picked up a '07 Deluxe in Black Cherry here in AZ... previously owned by a CA woman (best scenario for picking up a used HD). Even the mechanic I took it to for inspection remarked how outstanding it was. While mine has the 96 c.i. motor and no ABS, I agree 100% with your observations-- smooth ride, great low center of gravity, tons of chrome...and TORQUE-opolis! While I wish mine was a two-tone, mine did come with a (much-appreciated) windshield.
Beautiful Harley. Has that original classic look and the chrome and paint really sets it apart from other models. Enjoy and ride safe.
Thanks much Blackhawk! I do really like the bike so far and you’re spot on in your assessment. Glad to get your comment and hope you subscribe. -Tripp
Just bought a 2014, I love the bike
I agree on the chrome. I don't typically go for it either but I'll make an exception this time. Gotta love the white walls. Nice
It is a very classy looking bike for sure.
Simply based on this video, I subscribed! Great look at the bike, great looking bike, and great video edit!
Thanks much Will.
I love the looks of that bike!!! The two-tone works great with it!
My sentiments exactly!
I have got mine in March 2020,put an other seat on it and a backrest, some chrome trim. Beautiful bike, sad that 2021 no Deluxe available anymore
That is very nice. I love how they have an incorporated seat rail. On my '89 Heritage I used to run it mostly with a solo saddle, with a rack on the back from an old Shovel. But that is a beautiful colour scheme. And no, I don;t have any video of my Heritage... GoPro had to wait for 21 years to come into existence :) Enjoy your new bike Tripp.
Thanks again Rob!
BEAUTIFUL Bike, I had a softail. but switched to the Vulcan 900 less cc but 130lbs. less weight, counterbalanced (like this one) but rubber mount, fuel inj. belt drive - SMOOTH and water cooled so my nuts are not burned. I have heal -toe shifter, platforms, windshield, bags, - well ya cant own them all, but that is a GREAT looking H sft. - safe rides.
Great information and video!
Thanks Kato!
Looks like a smooth ride. I could feel the wind.
Yes, but could you feel it in your hair?
great report buddy... it truly is a wonderful piece of mechanical engineering.. enjoy the rides!!
Thanks Uwe! The bike is impressive. Thanks for your comment, I hope you subscribe.

Hi! I have a 2020 Softail Slim , when I bought it I had the same issue trying to put it in neutral while the engine running , mine didn't came with the heel shifter, so I installed one on it and problem solved , I just use the heel to put it in neutral and is wayyyyyy easy to do it .It works for me. Hope this helps .
Great Jon on the video
Thanks!
best review of this bike on the net.
Thanks man! Sorry it’s taken me so long to respond. Thanks brother. Ride safe.
2015 softtail deluxe is the best bike harley ever made....most comfortable and best handling bike...
That makes me extremely happy to hear that because that’s exactly what I ride! 🙂
Oh look, another bike to add to my wishlist!
Score one for your mom too! 🙂
What beautiful bike Tripp, I.....as usual find myself in complete agreement with you. I think bags, windshield and the like would just take away from it's simplistic style. Just stunning☆☆☆☆☆
You know what they say and great minds thinking alike! :)
That switch for the driving lights has been there since the Panhead
I enjoyed this immensely.
Thanks Grant! I’m enjoying the bike as well. 🙂
Absolutely stunning good job on the review
Thanks much John! Riding this weekend?
@@trippontwowheels oh ya
Love those Deluxees
I'm definitely a fan now. :)
Super nice Harley. Great video. I wonder if it is still available.
Thanks! You can always call and find out! I’d jump on it if I were you.
I have a 18 electric blue deluxe. She’s my best girl!! Wouldn’t trade her.
Softail deluxe is my favorte bike.

Good times, Tripp! I rode a LiveWire last week... working on a review video for that on my channel :) That's a beautiful bike you rode there!
Hope you enjoyed the LiveWire, I’ve yet to ride one. Looking forward to your review. Thanks for your comment; hope you subscribe. -Tripp
@@trippontwowheels Oh, it was a blast! The review should be up in a couple of weeks. I already subscribed to your channel :) Please consider subscribing to mine as well :D
My dream bike and the best looking Harley. I don’t know if i’ll fit though. I’m 6ft2 and a heavy guy. I’m looking at the road king also.
Both are good choices. You may fit the Road King better though.
Beautiful bike and great review! Well done.
Thanks Eric!
Sorry to be offtopic but does any of you know of a tool to log back into an instagram account..?
I was stupid lost my login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me!
@Jett Rex instablaster ;)
Gotta love neutral...my wide glide slips in neutral no problem, my deluxe does 99% of the time, my road king, not so much, have to roll it or blip the throttle a little to get it in lol.
I definitely have to work at getting my HD's into neutral for sure!
One of the prettiest bikes ever made. I found this video quite late. Better late than never ! Good review. I’ve the opportunity to buy a low mileage mint 2013 one in red and cream for a good price. Thanks !
Very nice!! Where are you from?
@@trippontwowheels north of Ireland !
Just bought a '17 FLSTC. Man, what a beauty to look at as well as ride.
I have two of these. I have a blue and white and a black and white. My blue and white is my daily driver and its bone stock with with lots of chrome. Then I have an even more chromed-out black-and-white where I did the front forks and just the all the bells and whistles. And that's my beauty queen for the weekends. My black-and-white went also has a stage for 88 to 103 Screamin Eagle kit because it is a 2005. But nonetheless I'm happy
Sweet bikes! You are a man of taste no doubt. Ride safe and hope you subscribe. -Tripp
!
Great review of a beautiful bike. My local dealer has a 2020 in this model in red and black. Just great looking. Would love to have it, but at 19k I have to pass..
You can find them used for MUCH less.
I just found ur channel I just got license to ride n bought a 2007 delux Still learning n love the delux I want a windshield for it confuse on how to get one
Check Facebook Marketplace most people sell them in mint condition for about a hundred to $200
I also have a ‘09 Dyna Super Glide. Just bought a 2012 Deluxe & every single thing that went through your head went through mine also 😂. First thing I thought was man feels like I’m riding on a cloud compared to my dyna
Great minds think alike! Enjoy your Deluxe; I sure love mine!
I've got an 06 Street Glide and neutral is a pain to find. If I got to run in the house for something I forgot I just shut it off instead of finding neutral.
I have to do the same darned thing. Ugh! Thanks for your comment John, I hope you subscribe! -Tripp
A really beautiful motorcycle. Like you, I also have a Dyna, a 2011 super glide that gets ridden almost every day. It has a saddlemen sport tail bag that holds my stuff and offers some back support. To help with the shifting, it got some Amsoil severe gear in the transmission, and primary lube in the primary. The difference over the Harley lube is amazing. Shifting is smooth and effortless and no more problems finding neutral. I stayed with the stock exhaust because of the better low end performance which is where I ride. The bike has a Saddlemen step-up seat which is better than stock, but still not comfortable, so I put an AirHawk on it and that fixed that. Progressive suspension front and back, and Michelin Commander lll tires help give it a decent ride for an antique design. My next thing is going to be the compensator, going with a sprocket instead of parts and pieces that go bad. You did a good review here, and I would love to give this bike a ride myself. Thanks
The most beautiful harley
I think I agree with you John! Thanks for your comment, I hope you subscribe. -Tripp
That blue flake is really nice. Sexy bike!
My goodness the bike is beautiful. I had trouble keeping my eyes on the road. :)
Where can i find a seater for the back for thr deluxe 2013
So what's up with the temp tag on the bike?
Motorcycles aren't supposed to have windshields. I,ve road all day 500+ miles without them and no problems. A few bugs maybe but that's biking.
How can you go wrong with chrome and white walls! I love my 2019 Deluxe, too! Ride safe!
You can’t! In my opinion anyway. Have you done anything to the bike and do you like the Milwaukee 8? Eager to hear and hope you subscribe ParrotHead! -Tripp
You should now add in the description that you were that impressed, you went back the next day and bought this bike!
Gotta keep folks in suspense or they won't watch the next video! :) I did think about doing that though - great minds think alike? Thanks much for weighing in cliffy, I hope you subscribe! -Tripp
@@trippontwowheels I have already subscribed! but if you put the fact that you bought it! in then they will say hey! I can see more of that beautiful bike and subscribe! that's why they clicked on the video in the first place! :) to see that beautiful Harley Davidson Softail Deluxe!
Good point!
Didja buy it? 🥰🥰😊. I just bought my first Harley-Davidson. It’s a 2013 Softail Deluxe two tone in Midnight Pearl and Birch White. I’m biting my nails up here in Michigan waiting as patiently as I can for Springtime. 🤗🤗🤗
Of course I bought it! You don't think I was going to let you have all the fun did ya? Congrats Marcie! Hope you love it to pieces. Email me at tripp@trippontwowheels.com and send me some pics!! -Tripp
If those are beach bars
The faster you go the more it pushes Your hands off the grips I like Buckhorn bars or the old shovel head FLH bars which I have on my old fat boy
Define neutral just be moving 1 mile an hour and it will drop Radion it doesn’t hurt to have a red line gear oil shock proof in the transmission that has always been a big help to me or to the bike. For the primary ATF transmission fluid or non-detergent 30 weight it’s a tossup to me right now I’m running ATF seems fine
Thanks Tom!
I’ve never owned a Harley where finding neutral was a problem. After the first thousand miles have the clutch adjusted and shift above the toes for better leverage.
Good idea. Thanks! Hope you subscribe if you haven’t already.
@@trippontwowheels hey Tripp it TroutBum from MV
Good to hear from you! How goes all?
@@trippontwowheels things are good. Just in a holding pattern while we wait for a vaccine or cure for COVID-19. How are you?
In the exact same spot. Not on MV much anymore. I check it out now and then though.
cable or wired bike
See if you can find a 94' dyna wide glide
Next time you need to get into neutral on a harley kill the engine, get into N then restart the engine. works every time. Its because shes running warm.
Trip meter? No, the Tripp Meter, har har harrr!
I see what you've done there. 😀
Would this be a good entry level bike ?
Thanks for your question Ben! No, it would be a horrible choice cor a first bike. It would make a great third, or possibly second bike if you’re a skilled or very conservative rider.
This was my first bike (2016) and it was NO problem.
That said, I rode a friend's Suzuki Boulevard 800cc for 1k miles beforehand, so that helped me get comfortable riding.
Is it just me or is the handle bars not square to the forks?
They looked square to me when it was built.
I now see in a later video you comment on the handlebars not being on right!
@@josephperkins4163 My bad, I thought you were commenting on the KLR 650 build video, which had straight handlebars. Yes, the Deluxe handlebars were cocked to one side and I did have to have them straightened.
Next bike I get will have a big fat seat and cruise control.
I like both those ideas!
I never understood the space in the market Harley was trying to fill with this bike. It’s basically a heritage classic without saddlebags. Why should a person buy one of these over a heritage classic?
Old school, more chrome, lower ground clearance, without having to pay for windshield and bags.
If you have a full face helmet on, you already have the windshield 😂
Tell that to your chest and the rest of your body after a couple hours at 85mph. 🙂
@@trippontwowheels It’s the ripping your helmet off of your head which is the biggest issue through wind blast or wind buffeting when wearing a shorty or 3/4, not chest or otherwise affected areas. Besides, who wants to travel at 85 miles an hour for two hours on a bike of this type? To don a full face helmet on a cruiser, is to miss the point of the ride, entirely. But don’t get me wrong, I do have a “full face” helmet ~ it’s parked in the driveway 😆
The bars are crooked.
All those upgrades but left the halogen bulbs smh
What upgrades? It’s a stock 2015.
@@trippontwowheels the odometer and the whitewalls are stock? Because they look fantastic
@@CTG01 The odometer is stock. The whitewalls are not.
@@trippontwowheels I’m hoping I can use that odometer on my 07
Only 24 inches ? Wow. I’m 5’4 and could handle that
Hey Tiny! The bike was very nimble and easy to control. I think it would have fit you well. Nice to hear from you.
Just be careful of the width. The 103 & its transmission are widebody levels of width, whereas the M8 drivetrains are much narrower. A proper test ride will confirm, however.
@@RoadReality The width of the bike didn’t bother me. It actually seemed narrower than my Fat Bob.
@@trippontwowheels That's awesome! I know my wife (who is 5'3" tall) had problems on many H-D bikes, until she found her 2013 Sportster 1200 Custom... it had been lowered and fits her nicely. I find it, um, cramped. :D I ride a 2019 FLHXS, and find it much narrower than the 2016 FLHXS I test rode years before purchasing my bike.
