    what's the difference between K and D series? I see there is on the market 3-1000 D-series - is it better?

      I was looking into this at one point. It’s not clear on K&Fs website. Looking at price the X series seems to be the high end. I don’t believe there to be a huge difference imo. Until I test more.

      K = Beginner - Well-designed optical accessory for the introductory camera lenses, a good helper for beginners in photography.
      D = Enthusiast - Making balanced type optical accessories for hobbyists, allowing them to obtain excellent optical performance. (Also has a water resistant icon on the box).
      X = Professional - First-class optical products for professional photographers, help to achieve the perfect picture. (Also has water resistance and anti-scratch icons).
      X-pro = Flagship - This series of filters have passed the K&F concept special standard, and is a flagship filter with excellent optical performance.

    does the top have filter threads? i mean can i stack a 58mm black mist filter on top of a 58mm variable ND.

    • @DimmyV
      @DimmyV  Před 24 dny +1

      It doesn't have a top thread, nor is it magnetic, this was entry level filter. I have recently been in touch with K&F and hopefully in future can have input on future products.

    great video ..i just purchased the K&F Concept 77mm Variable ND CPL Filter, ND4-ND64 & Polarizing CPL Circular Polarizing Fader Neutral Density Filter 2 in 1 for Camera Lens No X Spot Multi-Coating (Nano-X Seri but ive looked everywhere to find out how to separate the nd and polarizing movement any ideas ... tried reaching out to K&f but not help line there ...any thoughts on that?

      I don’t know how to separate. If you just need the CPL then just use that. Next video I have the new Freewell V2 system. Currently testing. It really comes down to what you are shooting as each filter has its purpose / quality. I really want to get my hands on the PolarPro Shortstache filter.

    I really would like to see ghost town long exposure.

      This needs a really long shutter time and I don’t have a remote for the camera otherwise I have to hold the shutter button which will mean shake. Check out the DJI Air 3 video with the ND 1000-2000 there’s a good example

      @@DimmyV Thank u sir for ur time to respond. Honestly I like how u took ur time to explain such about the ND even tho ur channel is mostly focused of drones. I really appreciate ur commitment.

      @@DimmyV well I am looking into buying an ND filter from K&f nano n with ur video I wish it could arrive to day. But concerning remote I thought you can HV an app to a phone n perhaps use a phone as a remote.

      The last and first time I did long exposure was back in 2017 n I did not use a phone for that for the camera was as not built with Bluetooth but perhaps now I can try thanks to ur inspiration

      I haven’t tried with an app on phone or checked as it’s not something I do on a regular basis. You can buy a remote but it costs money. It depends how long you want the shutter open for. 30 seconds is max on my Sony a6400 but then you have bulb mode which requires to hold shutter down or a remote. I think the K&F 2-2000 is really good. That being said I have another I’m testing this weekend. Not long exposure but for everyday this could be a great system. There’s PolarPro Shortstache which I want to get my hands on but not an ND.
