Very nice review! Thank you!
Viewing angles are looking amazing for an lcd 😳
Does the picture quality the same as the pc ultrasharp monitor?
got the 75" X95L and it came with the backlit remote btw.
Anyone know what the TV stand / media console is at ~2:22?
Can anyone ID the white and wood slatted cabinet in this video? 😮
Good looking tv.
Thanks for reviewing this but I wish you went in deeper detail
Pricing is great on this one, 85" size starting already at 4999 € in Europe, which is a aggressive Launching price imo, to put in perspective, LG G3 77" and A95L 77" are both launching at 6499 €.
Sony = best quality and king technology
Lol, some of these comments are so laughable supposingly dogging Sony? The old addage "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" is true .. What's not good for one is great for another...Last year's 85" X95K looked and performed heads & shoulders above ANY other tv in it's category with the help of it's master backlight drive and mini leds...Sooo 20% more dimming zones and even higher brightness isn't going to make a noticeable difference in the new X95L? Well not everyone's perception of quality is the same....All in what works for you...If you think it'll be too rich $$ for your blood or not up to your standards, simply don't buy it! No need to rant about it..(no one cares.... 🤷🏽♀️)
12.5% more dimming zones for the 85". The 75" is closer to 20%.
The only other new thing is "XR Clear image" which only works on some content. It has the same old MediaTeK SoC it has had for numerous years now. No "Pentonic".
It has new dimming algorithm which could be good. But in reality Sony did the absolute BARE MINIMUM with this TV.
That said I bet it still will be one of the best. But don't be fooled.
You literally cared enough to rant 🤦🙄😂
Can you buy a backlite remote separately and will it work?
Yes you can I decided not to.
Try voice commands, I'm giving that a go.
The remote is small so easy to navigate in the dark , sometimes!
Australian purchaser own the 75"
Amazing TV.
Agree a little disappointed no backlit remote but this is minor.
AU 75" doesn't come with camera it is an optional add on so no ambient light sensor out of the box.
Basically this is replacement on the Z series but it's 4k instead of 8k because of the EU restriction on the power consumption that's why it's only come with 75/85 inch. Without a doubt will be great TV but price will be pretty high.
Price is low
@@denissssss8579 how low?
@@danielcalutul 5000€ for 85“ version. Way lower than last years Model which launched at 6500€
Nice video. I was hoping there would be more of an explanation for the title teaser.. "Oled should be worried."
Should be obvious. OLED is garbage frankly and I'm glad it's being replaced.
@@chiefjudge8456 Ok thanks...ive never had oled so in the dark here...would you recommend qd oled or top end mini led bud?
@@sj460162I’m trying to also decide between Mini LED or OLED due to the fact that OLED has quite aggressive ABL in HDR content and I watch allot of movies in HDR and hdr game on the ps5
@@chiefjudge8456 OLED is garbage? I don't know about that. It's definitely the best for dim or dark rooms, like a dedicated cinema room. You don't get any bloom, and you don't need a ton of brightness when watching in a dark room anyway. Different use cases don't mean one tech is garbage compared to the other.
This model not yet launched in India.. what’s the price you bought and it’s size
2mill rupies
I Love Tv SONY
Always sony Bravia is best 👍🌹💖
just bought a X95K runout for AUD$3000 with extra 4ty warranty (no X95L in stock either)
The best LED TV in the world right now 😍😍😍
The TV looks impressive (said in a condescending voice) even through a compressed CZcams video, but more importantly how was the motion handling?
I wish they'd do a few sizes...at least 75", if not also a 65". Also....I hate TV naming schemes of TV manufacturers. This year's 93 is last year's 95, and this year's 95 is all new....like wtf.
Now they just need to make them smaller, 55" and 48" would be awesome.
Wow,what a picture quality, it's really fantastic
make video in total dark
WOW 👑SONY GOD FOREVER#1 ✌️ 👑
Hi your choice sony so beautiful....but but but you also so gouresus mam❤❤
If you told me this was QDOLED I would believe it.
MiniLED is superior to OLED.
@@chiefjudge8456 lol NOT. QD Oled is King 👑
@@ManuelMedellin. OLED is garbage. Too dim for a good HDR experience, has terrible text quality due to WRGB pixel layout, and gets burn-in.
@@chiefjudge8456 MiniLED washed out image and no Depth / bad contrast
@@chiefjudge8456 and BLOOMING 😂💀
The oled killer
Best tv ever
I’ll stick with my A90J 83”.
Fantastic TV and I dont blame you! I got one a couple of weeks ago for my bedroom, and it blows away my LG G2. The tone mapping and HDR pop are so much better. I will say the x95k is probably my favorite picture I've seen, and the a90j reminds me of it a lot, but the x95k had more pop. It has its own obvious shortcomings of a mini LED, but I'm very excited to see the x95l based on my home experience with the x95k and all the improvements.
@@guiltynessness8926 agreed. So I’m all OLED. But the exception I would make are those two TV’s. Proof how good Sonys processors are.
Sony dropped ball for not overring this model for 55 inch+
And not offering the 65" and 77" models in the US.
Glad to see more MiniLED options. OLED is too dim for a good HDR experience, has terrible text quality due to WRGB pixel layout, and gets burn-in. MiniLED is much better.
Yes sir. It’s laughable people have to throw Away their tvs every 5 yrs because of burn in. While these old folks have owned theyre tvs for 15 or 20 yrs old Panasonic tvs or Sonys and still running strong
@@Miryamsupdoswhich model is getting burn in?
@@Tor109pretty sure every model has reports but it's less and less each year
chiefjudge is a Troll that is butthurt that he can't afford QD Oled which destroys his old outdated MiniLED TV. 💀
@@ManuelMedellin. outdated a bad term when miniled is newer technology lol. Oled is great but not for everyone
Sony A95k best OLED TV
Sony X95L best mini LED TV
Shame. I'm in the market for a 75" MiniLed. And I'm not going for the rehashed X95K from last year with the X93L. I would've bought the 75" X95L. I guess Samsung gets my money this year with the QN95C when it comes out.
What stopping you buying 75" X95L? It's already available for £3499 GBP in the UK
@@sergejsvisnevskis7787 Not in the US.
Why even care about LCDs at this point when we have bright QD oleds now
Size, 85” in particular
No ASBL and Burn in and also brighter high APL output.
@@loki76 pales in comparison to oleds pro list
@@dante19890 Not really. Both technologies have their benefits and drawbacks. It comes down to personal preference and what a consumer can live with or not.
1% chance of blooming or ASBL and burn in. It's a give and take.
@@loki76 not really. It comes down to image quality at the end of the day
She’s a cutie 👍🏿
OLED never worries
Depends on price - if they go too high people will go with Oled. Tbh apart from 85” model it’s hard to justify paying similar money for mini LED over oled unless you’re a cable guy.
It’s 1000$ cheaper than 83“ A80L Oled
@@denissssss8579 price isn’t bad for indeed. Now question how will perform
Some people need the brightness. I’m going from an a80j that is unwatchable during the day in my livingroom to the x95L to remove that issue.
@@collinv8352 we’re talking about oled now hitting 1500 nits same as majority of mini LEDs
@@whitecrowuk575 There is no 83" OLED that is hitting anywhere near that for SDR Sports or regular watching.. Or HDR after Calibration for that matter
Close to OLED blacks with much better brightness. OlED still sucks for SDR and sports
And no burn in worries
Why does oled sucks for sdr? Imo my oled looks better in sdr than my lcd

No worries mini LED is just a LCDLED TV with LCD issues
Even if it’s Sony, I am a Sony guy, but I never buy LEDLCD or a mini LEDLCD TV
Micro LED yes
All this hype and still only 2 hdmi 2.1 ports? No thanks
About 98.75% of all buyers of these TV (even those that consider themselves to be the "hard-core" gaming types) will never actually need or use more than two HDMI 2.1 ports. For those very few out there that do, you can easily get an under $70 four-port HDMI 2.1 switch off of Amazon. Problem solved.
@Michael Beckerman LG and Samsung have all 4 hdmi 2.1 ports as standard equipment...Sony again in 2023 is too cheap to include it. Tvs are mostly expensive luxury items these days and Sony should not cut corners and tech.
@@majorkursk780 this was not in any way Sony's fault on this - and it has nothing at all to do with cost. This was 100% MediTek's fault. Sony had nothing at all to do with it. They got burned just as bad as TCL and Hisense did on this. Read up on it.
@@michaelbeckerman7532 That said. How hard would it be for Sony to make their own Processor that handles inputs and drive the OS? If LG can do it which isn't even one tenth the size of Sony. I am sure Sony can if they put their minds to it. They can do the XR so why not just make another co-processor and not be reliant on MediaTek.
So yeah, it's Sony's fault. They are not hisense budget brand. Pretty pathetic to charge a premium as a brand and label themselves as top shelf when they can't even do the inputs correctly.
@@loki76 They could, but it's just a cost saving measure. In a year or two Intel will be producing and selling a competing SoC smart TV platform and Sony may very well be switching over to them as a supplier. Sony's only fault here was trusting MediaTek/TSMC as a supplier. Anyone that outsources ANYTHING can get burned by a problem with a supplier. That can happen to ANY company that sources parts externally.
Yeah I am not interested dropping 85" cash on this TV. For many reasons. It's likely to be even more costly than the X95K 85" was when it came out last year. So that will be a lot.
Second 20% more dimming zones means it will have likely less than 900 Zones for an 85". That's pathetic. Samsung QN95C at 65" will supposedly have around 1300 zones, maybe even 1400.
That is 400-500 more zones at much smaller TV size. So you can imagine up to 2,000 zones for an 85" version of QN95C. It won't cost more either but more than twice as many zones.
Sony might be good at algorithms, but not to the tune of twice as good. Samsung now has their 3rd generation and have learned a lot. They also have improved processing and it's much brighter.
144Hz panel as well. I am disappointed in Sony. I am not interested in last years X95K rebranded into X95L with the same old MediaTek chipset. Because no "Pentonic 1000" in these Sony MiniLEDs. Only A95L OLED gets it. What a bummer.
Sony is basically now down to only doing one good TV in the form of A95L.
I'm going to get a QN95C, unless it's atrociously bad, which I doubt. And at 75" I guess some 1700 zones or so. I am excited to see. Caleb at Digital Trends was impressed with it.
Sony lost a customer.
@@marvindiyco2377 have you watched this tv in person, before bitching your stupid mouth? XR is most advanced processor in tv industry acclaimed by tv enthusiasts.
Watch it in person before shitting in comments
And TCL is releasing its new model with over 5000zones.
This aged bad. It’s 1500$ less expensive than the X95k 85“
@@denissssss8579 Except it isn't.
I can't believe Sony will only make this tv in 85 inches. Is there any limit to the stupidity of the people at Sony? Apparently not.
@@marvindiyco2377 I'm guessing you've never experienced burn in. Well, I have, and a whole lot of it. I have an oled that began to have permanent burn in after only 12 months. I've never felt so ripped off.....oled is not an option for me.
@@marvindiyco2377 OLED isn't always a choice. ASBL still sucks in OLEDS. Burn in is still a risk especially for some and their usage and no they are STILL not as bright as MiniLED.
@@marvindiyco2377 When you do all that baby sitting of your OLED and timing and bla bla. Me on a MiniLED can walk a way on a static image and come back 5 hours later and not a damned thing will have happened. I can also go from dark to bright image without huge ABL jarring dimming taking place. I can leave it on a static image for hours without ASBL kicking in and dimming the TV. I mean you can't even watch a TV show like House of the Dragon without it causing OLEDs to start dimming in a live show, ha ha.
The only real negative MiniLED have is occasional blooming and that is less and less each year and blacks getting blacker. In fact in a lit room you can't tell the difference.
I know what I will go with.
OLED still have things to live up to.
so strange since in Europe X95L is in 65, 75 and 85 inches
I see in US you have X93L 65, 75 , 85 hich I think is identical with just metal color frame instead black
What a terrible review , amateurish
