Her mistake, starting a Six Million fine dining restaurant in a residential area.
Today, she is servicing loans left, right and centre.
She opens up to Lynn Ngugi on how an agent tricked her into thinking she could open a business in that estate, having to close down the restauraunt and finding the strength to start again

The only work that I got is cleaning and clearing bushes in a certain project. I love baking so I knew it's time to turn the hobby to an income. To me the lesson learned is that trusting and believing people by the word of mouth could cost you sooner or later esp if it involves hard earned money . I wonder whether the business that folded prior to Beldina was because of the same residence pressure group. The landlord ought to be sued for crime of omission and fraud. City bylaws are very clear on what business can be set where. But in kenya because of corruption people are able to be hoodwinked..."lipa chai nifunge macho" later system catch up with and things might not work in a person's favour. Or we fail to investigate in fear that others will steal our business idea or opportunity. A fellow was convinced and bought our plot fraudulently including a fake title deed thinking the liquidators at the land office will live for ever. Now, we're in court to determine the rightful owner. Corruption is a cancer that has sickened Kenya to the bone. Govt systems(Justice, lands, transport, edu, health, security, commerce, labour, agriculture etc) have failed hardworking Kenyans when a person considers how govt officials collude to sell purported govt documents to make a quick buck. Sadly they say "Ignorance is not a defense in a court of law"

But when my friend sent me this link to watch this, good Lord, this is so what i needed. Beldina, God bless you. You don't know how much just by sharing your story has done for me.
