    I'm so glad I tried a instant wide camera at a Lomo workshop before thinking about buying one, it just didnt want to behave, so I'll be sticking to 35mm film Lomography as you can do a lot more with film and it isnt expensive as instants.

    I bought this camera a few days ago, I was worried about all the negatives comments but I have to say. The camera is pretty good. You are buying a full manual instant camera, of course you have to know a little bit of basic camera settings and sun light to get good pictures but that's the thing, you have to think twice the photos, and all the results are going to be a reward. If you are looking for an easy shoot and go instant camera you can get the instax fujifilm.

    This is a pretty bad camera from my experience, it's definitely a struggle to take pictures. The best way to describe this camera is an unforgiving game of Russian Roulette, except the ratio of bullets to no bullets is marginally not in your favour. To take a good image your only option is the bulb exposure, and even then the images were sub-par. You really have to pay attention to lighting, distance from subject and the settings, though that would require actually seeing the subject in the printed image in the first place. Most of the images just end up being solid black or hardly exposed, and that still occurs following the given guide and tampering with exposures. It's definitely not a click and go camera and the outcome of your shot will leave you disappointed. Don't buy it, spend your money on a Polaroid and call it a day.

      I totally agree 😭 I spent 1.5 film packs resulting with either blackened photos or just single color blots 💀 ~

      This camera isn't for beginners and hippies. It is built for experienced photographers or someone who knows something about cameras. Although the aesthetic is for hipsters, the way how you will use it is not. So you better watch some reviews about this product first before buying it or at least do a research. You'll get frustrated indeed if you didn't spend time reading manuals and basics about photography. I'm using this for almost 3 years now and all photos are great. Even the experimental

    The manufacturer really could have done a better job with the back door of this camera. It feels so flimsy and cheap. Not to mention it sticks out when a film cartridge is inserted -causing light leaks in the corners.

    • @febed01
      @febed01 Před 8 lety

      How did you fix it? I just purchased it and have this issue, just wasted a bunch of film trying to fix the issue and couldn't figure it out..

    • @febed01
      @febed01 Před 7 lety +1

      It must be a faulty film pack, as I also had the problem with a Fuji camera.
      The photo stays stuck inside the pack and unfortunately the only thing to do is to open the camera and remove by hand the wasted photo, and then putting the pack back into the camera, wasting 2 photos and resetting the counter in the process :(
      I believe it would be possible to lose only 1 photo by just moving a little the photo up and down in the pack (a few millimeters, just so the next photo won't be exposed) and shoot to make it eject normally, but I didn't try this yet (didn't have the problem since I had the idea).
      I hope this will help you. This camera is really a nice manual mode instant camera :)

    • @maevagarcin3617
      @maevagarcin3617 Před 7 lety

      Thank you for your quick answer!
      You think the issue was because of the film and not the camera?
      I actually contacted the Lomography customer services and they told me to send the camera and that they'd send me a new one. I returned it to the store I bought it, they replaced it with a new one, but I still have the same issue, I used the same film roll for both cameras... I will try the new film pack and hope it works fine. It does seem like a great camera with great settings, if it works!

    When using Creative mode with B shutter, it has to be on 1m-inf, right? Because when I switched to 0.4m-0.9m, and it did not work at all, not the shutter nor film rejected....

    It's funny how those beginners and know nothing about photography saying this camera sucks never knowing that this camera isn't built for beginners that's why it has a lot of buttons and modes. Try reading basics about cameras and photography so that you'll not get frustrated. If you are a completely beginner, buy instax mini so that you can just point and shoot.
