  • For a Supermoto, 30,000kms is pretty high up there. I hope you find this video about my Husqvarna 701 Supermoto helpful as I took it in for a service and extra check-ups (such as a valve clearance inspection).

    Try power commander with a proper map. I’ve enjoyed it a lot since Covid

    2018 Husky 701 I got a pod filter, Leo Vince slip-on, no baffle + power commander 5 (ECU flash). power wheelies in the first 3 gears no clutch. You can clutch up in the next 2 gears. Also, check out these easy mods:
    - Removing the 25 amp fuse from the ABS module disables ABS completely front and back tire
    - MotoMinded Ruby Headlight and visibility at night is WAY better
    - Black plastics are out now! And they're cheap bro.

      In addition to my full system exhaust, K&N hi flow filter and booster plug, I also have a front sprocket geared to -1t and the rear is +3t. With all that, I have to really yank it to power up in 3rd. Can't clutch up in 4th+
      I have "disabled" the ABS sensor on the rear 😄

      Where and how to remove this abs fuse ?

    • @Merc399
      @Merc399 Před 5 měsíci

      bet you got a 2018? its the last year before they rerouted the circuit. its located RIGHT behind the airbox under the ECU, there should be two backup fuses stocked incase you need to replace one. pull off the water proof cover, and underneath you should see a 15 and 25 amp fuse, leave the 15 amp in and pull the 25 amp fuse and youre brakes will work perfectly and the ABS light will be always on. you can remove the entire light if you want @@asserkalsbll4008

    Yeah I know what you mean, I did over 16,000 km on my bike this year and it for sure needed a professional inspection lol, the prices do suck though but you got to do what you got to do. Great video bro!!

      Hey mate!!! I've seen a few of your videos too 😄. Most complaints I have heard about these came from people with pre 2019 models. Mine has been solid so far.
      I hope yours hasn't caused you any grief too.

    Hey there, my 2022 701 sm has the EVO 1 air box lid, DNA air filter, Arrow slip on “silencer” with baffles out and the Coober LM euro 5 unit fitted. She pulls like a train and will easily mono in 3rd gear.
    Are the Australian bikes European or American market? Reason I ask is if it’s the American non euro 5 one then coober also does an ecu for it.
    I’m not affiliated with coober at all but can safely say it’s awakened my machine and made it feel like it should.
    I purchased the bike new in 2022 and waited until the first service before I added all the bits and bobs so that I could feel the difference.
    Just a thought but have you done a compression check on your bike to see how well it’s all performing in that department ?
    All the best and keep up the vids

    nice bike - i should hope folk would start being realistic, 30k on an engine is nothing - people everywhere seem to think they are knackered after 7k or similar, it is an insult to engineers and oil providers across the world...strange

    Hey man. Flash the ECU. Many more customization options compared with the PC6, can even change the settings for quickshifter/blipper + no need for any dongle anymore because the flash overwrites the closed loop.

    • @afrobykr
      @afrobykr  Před 8 měsíci

      I 100% agree with you.
      I have looked into that. However, every tuner I have contacted here in Australia said they don't do it for this bike.
      Kevin Hope is pretty famous for ECU tunes (Australian) and previously flashed my MT09 ECU. Even he doesn't do it for the 701.
      I will try and extend my reach overseas. Fingers crossed, there's someone out there that will work some magic 😅
