2:10 Liz,
The FIRST mistake in any
negotiation or conflict,
is allowing a meeting
between you, alone,
and 2 or more adversaries,
or company representatives,
as in this case,
that does NOT work to
our advantage, ever.
Your comment of intimidation is
exactly what happens, intimidation,
gaslighting, bullying. I'm pretty
sure you realized this after the
meeting, most people aren't
generally aware of this dynamic.
Liz, very sorry to hear about the threats and have been made against the woman who has consecrate lanes provide objective reporting. Would you be a amenable to those in your community to set up support for a an attorney specializes in the area ? Would you be willing to keep up the videos? Wow we work through some investigation, PR and background on these individuals & corporation. There are some specific questions that will want to confirm first with this company. Does interstate commerce has a history that we may wish to see whether they have a pattern and practice of this type of behavior, that’s all I can say at the moment, we get into the work week this next week. It’s a card played out close to the way you described them will also put out to PR team members who work on national accounts, tasked with bringing corporate misbehavior remedies, to the consumer and the USATTY for this part of INDIANA. (I really am incensed when I become aware of women who get taken advantage of - although this happens across-the-board ) you’re doing a wonderful public service you are media and from the facts as you presented them does not appear prima facia. They have certainly not a good case, but certainly potentially a case against this company or company whoever is responsible or signatory to the email you received for cease-and-desist, please contact me off-line by email at your convenience again I’m certain you have a tremendous amount of support you take it very seriously when reporters are threatened when what they report on attempted to be locked away by those reported on because the content of a story contains information that is not “good news/reporting” for them
Armstrong said the space craft was built by the lowest bidder
R. V. S. Are built by the Cheapest labor . LoL 😂
Doesn't the video fall under freedom of speech / expression?
A cease and desist can't be enforced...it's just an intimidation tactic. Lippert cannot stop you from posting videos. That's an infringement of your first amendment right to free speech. If your videos are not violating CZcams terms of service, you cannot be forced to remove your videos from the platform. Only CZcams can make you remove your videos or remove them without your permission.
Lippert could try to sue you for defamation, but if everything you've said in your videos is true and can be substantiated, then you won't have a problem.
You are not the only CZcamsr reporting on the frame flex issue, so has Lippert sent cease and desist letters to these other people who are reporting on the issue using CZcams as a platform? If not, why are they singling you out? They are bullying you!
From now on, do not say "Lippert" in any of your videos. Simply refer to them as the largest RV frame manufacturer in the United States supplying 99% of the frames in motorhomes and pull-behinds, and direct people to google if they need further information as to who this is.
If your video is about someone having issues with their particular RV, let them tell their story. If the RV manufacturer has an issue with their story, they can take it up with them personally. You are simply the "middleman".
Before reporting on any products coming out of Indiana from manufacturers or distributors, make sure you can back up what you're reporting with facts. Dot your I's and cross your T's.
Don't allow yourself to be intimidated, but do make sure you have all of your bases covered and be very careful. These large companies have no scruples. There's no telling to what length they will go to, to make you stop telling the truth.
God bless you!
These companies threatening her just lost tons of future customers by threatening legal actions for their bad products.
Thank you for your support!!
No they don’t. And they know that. Unless we ALL agree to stop buying ALL new RVs… pretty much any RV now is based on Lippert’s components… and that probably a reason majority of them is crap. It’s hard to make an ice cream out of crappy parts.
Liz, may the force be with you. You doing the right thing. That said, listen to your lawyers, it’s not a fair game.
Yeah I'm gonna make a video myself, I've salvaged RVs before, they are made like crap, people need to wake up and realize they aren't worth looking at much less owing money on.
These companies want to keep scamming people. I was looking at the interiors of the airstream, and for the money, you get a subpar luxary and cheap construction components
I'm with you 100%! Clearly tipion is a dishonest company!
I am a retired attorney. Among other issues, I defended hundreds of defamation claims during my 35 years of litigation practice. The "cease and desist" letter you received is a common intimidation tactic. Stand your ground. I will be amazed if Tiffin or Lippert is foolish enough to actually file suit against you for commercial defamation. It would not be worth the bad "press." Remember, truth is an absolute defense to defamation claims. So long as what you say in your videos is true, the law protects you. If you do get sued, I recommend you search for an attorney who will defend you pro bono, in exchange for the goodwill and positive "press" he/she would get.
I own an Oliver travel trailer because it is reputed to be better built that its competitors. When shopping for our trailer, I chose to avoid any RV built by a company owned by Thor, based, in part, on videos like yours.
I am a new subscriber because of this video.
Hi Ralph! Welcome to the channel. I sure appreciate your take on this. Lippert's beef is with me reading the informant's comments. I will likely edit the video to remove them. Not worth the aggravation. And good for you for buying an Oliver. I did a video about them last year, they seem really great!!!
Just imagine the issues they’ll have to deal with when Liz legal team sends letters demanding information re QC, internal discussions etc
It’s a buff. They would only be bringing exposure to themselves for selling junk.
@@LizAmazing I would not cave in, no and nope. Then they win, they don't have anything on you.

Hello Liz, I live in New Brunswick, Canada. I worked for a RV/TRAILER dealer for 9 yrs. We sold Park Models, 5th wheels, Tow behinds and Diesel pushers. Prices started at $40,000 to over $700.000. I worked in the repair part, Everything that came in no matter how cheap or top of the line..leaked! We pressure tested everyone that came in as new. We got so many back after 1 yr old rotten, we had to replace walls, floors windows. I felt bad gor these people, not all were rich, some family's could barely afford the monthly payments. It was so sad to see them have to walk away from one and go in debt because the company always said, it was not their fault 9r the manufacturer fault. I seen this happen like 10 times in less then 6 months. I quit and would fix the ones that could not. Afford to pay. I did it for free in my spare time for 12 yrs now. These manufacturers are horrible people, they do not care!
Sure its not the dealers fault?! But these dealers make tons of money getting people do work on problems and issues. They make huge money overpricing parts and labor cost.
This is how some industries lose to overseas competition, they need strict quality control on the shop floor!!!
We had a 2001 Allegro Bus and were at the Tiffin repair facility several times. It was way out of warranty. They treated us very well, and we saw them treat others very well. This was before Thor bought them.
You are a good person.
I know what you mean.
I framed houses for winter jobs back in the day.
I worked for a crew that did such sloppy work, I felt sorry for the home buyer.
All the sloppy work could be covered up, but it was frame work.
One of the worst jobs I've ever had.
I walked off that job.
Got a job with a good framing company that did things right.
One of the best jobs I've ever had.
A cease and desist is just a threat. They are just trying to intimidate you. I wouldn’t get a lawyer unless they actually sue you.
Great job! You are doing gods work with these corporations
Disagree. It's worth seeking legal advice on the matter now, in case she has said or written something that is libel, slander or defamation.
She might have to make an edit to some of her videos, or post a minor correction video just to be on the safe side.
Being sued is too late to resolve the issue.

Thank you! We had a frame failure! They will blame the owner & not cover it after 1 month long inspection. Problem is thin wall material, & sloppy welds with them. BEWARE BUYERS! New RVs are sloppy built!!
I'm so happy I'm my 1977 Yellowstone. A window leak I caught and fixed no water damage done. Just a bit of silicone needed. And the fridge died. That's the only repairs I've needed. I've upgraded the inverter, replaced all lighting with led, a nice tall toilet and new screens and tires. Everyone who walks in has the same reaction "this is cool" My total into it? Almost $1900. I live and travel in it full time and watch the owners of brand new rigs weeping as they realize there's no warranty and they have to drain their camper of a foot of water. Appliances not working, electrical seriously messed up, splits, cracks it goes on and on. I've seen those with warranties leave them at the dealership for over a year before taking it back and paying someone besides the dealership to repair. Camping world is the worst.
Unbelievable. It is time for a lawsuit by each state against these RV companies
It's definitely time for change in the RV industry. Thanks for watching.
The owners of rvs that are deficient need to be organised in a class action lawsuit.
Stay on point. This is about the widespread failure of logic.
Rv manufacturers have not met the needs of their customers.
Someone needs to catalog the failures...
This is about looking at design to end products.
The categories that appear will show the manufacturers deficiencies.
When they build an inferior product, sales will nose dive.
But looking to the future by manufacturing a Durable product, customers will beat down their doors.
Ps make list and catalog failures. The customer is what sales is about.
Your focus has been on point .
Get a team organised, and you need to find multiple whistle blowers.
One possibility, are these manufacturiers a monopoly?
All great questions to ask legally.
Ps get as many documented rv owners as possible. Before getting a legal team. Crediblity...
@@hawkeyetecThe contract T&C’s they signed when they bought basically signed away their rights.

@@TheBeingReal i dont know the rv world. I know the class 8 highway tractors and being in a newer truck is better that 2012.
A friend bought a then new 2012 freightliner with the manufacturers best extended warranty.
In 4 years freightliner spent 120,000 is dollars on warranty work.
Its better today , not much i spent more than that from year 5-10. The saftey systems are problematic, when you get to a dealer nothing conclusive, they email the manufacturer.
Its ironic how late model owner operators fail above 95 percent.
On plan on purpose.
Whats the alternative? The saftey systems dont record false readings.
They freak operators out . Activating brakes beacuse of a shadow in the road or going into a tunnel.
The radar is warning of forward distance and slowing the truck to impede traffic.
The driver cant turn off these saftey systems.
For lane alert. Ifvin a construction zones i would use my turn signals beacuse the radar didnt recognise construction cones or plastic / concrete barriers. Its looking at the lines in the road. Even ifvthe lines are painted black the truck will steer the truck into the cones or concrete construction barriers.
I have had my former employers counsel me for roads that were 2 lane changed to express way. The speed limit was 25 mph on 2 lane and 65 on expresway.
Were in a learning curve that kindergarden cops could figure out if only the epa and saftey agency's realised these devices are hazardous...
Their looking to make these devices manitory.
Before our country failed, we operated f or the customers best intrest.
Now its mandated and so what if its going to kill the public. I wish i was joking....look at regulations for 2027.

My frame cracked and I called Lippert and I made it all the way to the CEOs secretary and they sent a guy who works for them. He came and welded 2“ x 2“ tubes to the bottom of my frame to repair it it took two days they tried to charge me, but I told them no way I never heard another word from them, they know this is a problem. Liz i am really happy that we have a person like you to uncover these shady RV companies. They dont care about warranty or servive or how well built they are it only about how much money they can suck out of people
I will never buy a Grand Design or any RV made with a Lippert frame. You’ve done the right thing.
Unfortunately 99% of companies use Lippert frames. I used to work as an engineer for Lippert and now I work for a company that uses their frames (and has been for decaded), and we've never had a single issue. It really comes down to the company who built your RV. My company would 100% cover any damages caused by a bad frame, but then again our CEO is man of his word. Do your research on the RV company itself, Lippert and the frames are not the issue.
@@Dredster747 then why are they scared of a little negative video ?
@@Dredster747 Maybe Lippert and the body manufacturer engineers should work together to built frames that fit the manufacturer weight & stress load requirements.
@@Dredster747 good feedback but, Lippert is clearly threatened by these videos. To send a letter threatening legal action is absolutely telling about the kind of people who are running that company. If they supply 99% of the frames, then they should have responded to Liz with “hey, we will do better… we will stand behind our customers” something to that effect. Bottom line, they’re just pissed that their part in the failure is being highlighted en masse. They seemingly want to continue to put out sloppy work and not take responsibility for their role in these many frame failures.
@@Dredster747 Unless they have fixed it (and it would be very hard with their process) I know the frames from their new plant (4yrs old?) are randomly not manufactured to proper welding specs. Poor welds and even good ones are not stronger than frame material. Also, a friend works at another LCI frame plant and he says there is no way most of the welds are good. BTW, also a former engineer at LCI, due to acquisition, and left because of lack of actual engineering.
As a former RV service technician I can attest to the frightful reputation of the manufacturing process. Before the customer took delivery of a camper it was given a "PDI" (Pre-Delivery-Inspection). Testing the equipment before the customer went on their first outing. I can't recall a single RV that didn't get at least one pre delivery warranty repair. Most of them had several issues repaired before the buyer was given the keys. We (the service techs) became expert photographers, having to document the process to collect the warranty from the manufacturer. The ongoing joke became " RV dealers are the final stage of the assembly process"!
That's eye-opening and sad.
they build them , we fix them.
I also was a former RV technician mainly in Quality Control in NZ. The amount of issues was laughable as if I didn't laugh about it, then I would go crazy.
@@TheDogGoesWoof69 Ive seen Taxa and they are a specialty kinda camper, sort of. one thing they build quality but they are not in the mainstream market yet. These are campers who make you camp. these arent luxury, they are hardshells that give you a good place to sleep, as long as you arent much over 6 feet tall. the big thing i look at microcampers is how well they are sealed, will they keep me dry when i need it and these will. the pricing is a little high and I know my company wot carry them for sake of profit margin but they are a sturdy well built campers. these campers envelop what camping is all about and i wouldnt hesitate to recommend them.
KZ is also absolute junk and don't back their crap product. What a nightmare it was, nothing but trouble/failures. Sold it at a huge loss just to get rid of it! Turned my wife and I off camping forever, hotels for us since, to keep our sanity.
I have no idea why this video showed up in my suggested list, but I’m glad it did. Thank you for all you do, Liz! Refuse to back down. Your truth is too much for them and they’re scared. It just means you’re on the right track. Keep up the good work!
Liz, my experience over the past 20 years is that if it had Lippert name on it it’s not if it will fail it’s when. Axels are crap, levellers leak, won’t retract. Welders tell me that the metal should break before a weld. Certainly not the case with Lippert.
DO NOT TAKE THE VIDEOS DOWN. The companies have something to hide? Your video hit a nerve! I stand behind you..I’m sure many of your followers feel the same as I do.❤❤We love you and want you to be safe!
I agree...if they took you to court over this, they would get the worst PR imaginable.
These are idle threats. Keep all the receipts👍

To clarify my discovery comment, if Lippert tries to sue, you'd be in the position to ask for their internal Quality Control records and the repair/return records for every Lippert issue from every Lipper dealership. Inspection qnd engineering documents re: the strength of the current models vs the older models.
The most awful thing Lippery would want is for the bredth and depth of their quality control issues to become known.

Liz, you're a journalist and are entitled to all the protections of any other journalist, including not having to disclose your sources.
I fully support Liz, but we should clarfify your comment. Liz isn't a credential journalist. This may seem like a minor issue, but legally that would come up (and it will). And believe me, when things get to the lawyers, EVERY point like this becomes a major issue. Sources are very tricky issue, especailly these days. To emphasize this, use Google to search what just happened to professional journalist Catherine Herridge (formally of Fox News and CBS). She just testified to Congress about pending legislation that would protect reporters confidential sources. When CBS fired her, they seized all of her files and e-mails, and her confidential sources were all compromised. Herridge is also facing fines of $800 PER DAY for refusing to divulge sources. On top of that, journalists have been tossed into jail for refusing to divulge sources, and judges (yes judges) have been the ones doing it. Again, you can Google it if you don't believe me. We can crow all we want about our Constitutional rights, but sadly (these days) it doesn't automatically translate into reality. Liz is facing a Goliath (Thor Industries and Lippert are Billion dollar companies). I posted several steps on this thread that RV owners who are facing broken and dangerous rigs should pursue. Following those things would help Liz and RV owners more. One other thing to keep in mind - if this story gets "legs" as it were in the public conscious, thousands of RV rigs are going to be essentially worthless, because no one will want to buy them. This includes current owners. It's just the way it is.

This mechanic made 3 trips and found one fitting that had 2 o rings and more loose fittings. I called Tiffin to tell them what we had found, they were not interested. My slides continued to come out without pushing the switch. We do have an excellent Hydraulic shop in town and so far they have found 2 fittings that did not have any o rings in place, I have been there twice and each time a leak was repaired and a another would show up several days later. I am going back tomorrow for more. The system that I have has been discontinued. The odd thing about the system I have as I understand it is the they used locking valves when the slides are out and not when they are in. So far everything we have fixed has been due to the workmanship done in Red Bay by Tiffin techs. This has so far cost me over $1,500. I bought a Tiffin because of the excellent reputation that Bob Tiffin has earned over 50 years, if my experience is the new norm that reputation will not last.
Funny thing about videos online... they're permanent. Once they're uploaded there's no way of knowing how many hundreds, thousands, or tens of thousands of people have downloaded them. With that in mind it would behoove these companies to do the right thing and fix their mistakes instead of trying to pressure people into being complicit in their coverups by sending legal threats over exposing their shady behaviour. RV companies have been pretty devious and dastardly for the last decade, if not longer and it is always just a matter of time before their secrets come to light.
Integrity buys customer loyalty - Not Brown envelopes - Stay strong Liz
Rotten greedy companies like these must be called out at any cost. Thank you for what you do and stand for Liz.
New to your channel, so far I have only observed quality information that is fact based and backed up by photos and evidence. I don’t believe you have anything to worry about, seems like scare tactics and it is not just in the RV industry that quality has slipped in recent years. Nothing is made as good as just a few years ago. Keep up the good work.
I love that you stand up to the rv industry to help consumers get what they deserve. Buying another rv speaks volumes. You are a winner in my book. Thank you for doing the right thing!! So proud to be your subscriber!! ❤
If they took you to court, they’d have to prove that your videos damaged them. That isn’t going to happen. It seems like someone in Congress should be looking into helping RVers to be safe, get fair deals, and not be bullied or threatened. Such tactics are outrageous and it’s wrong that you have to change your life to protect it from some idiot. I’ve had enough of this “violence is an acceptable solution” era. I’m totally disgusted that this is happening to you, and others who speak out. Stay safe, Liz. You’re a smart lady!🍀🍀🍀🙋🏻♀️
Congress is a JOKE, THEY WILL JUST PUT THEIR HAND OUT FOR A DONATION, THEN DO NOTHING.
nice thought but, they pay the law makers off!!!
@@stevefitzgerald9193 Baloney. The manufacturers are separate entities, not the NRA. The government has guidelines for cars, trains, planes, etc. I don’t think they pay any attention to the RV industry; clearly there are some minimum standards they can set; threatening someone pointing out a problem is not a standard. Cars have lemon laws; you are less safe yourself and to others in a poorly constructed RV. Set standards and start inspections and fines. That industry needs oversight, and it’s their own fault.
you are so naive!!!!!!!!! all of the RV manufactures belong to an association. the are called NIVA!!!!!!!!! they pay lobbyist to keep rv out of federal lemon laws and, the same standards as the auto industries. the NRA are separate entities also. do you have any clue. how many manufactures of guns their are????? didn't think so.

Great Job. Stand strong against these crooks
Good luck with everything! Truly!! My wife and I have been looking and researching a camper trailer…almost 1.5 years of visiting dealerships, private owners and even local manufacturers…and they were ALL JUNK. Big names too…nothing from Amazon or Wish kind of stuff, but the build quality was. We have finally ended our search.
I highly recommend class A, Diesel Pusher from National. They're older and aging like grand dames. Beautiful and well-built homes.
RV manufacturers are turning out garbage. They have raised prices and reduced build/material quality. You are shining a light on their dirty secrets and corrupt business practices. Clearly, by their legal response to you, they are rattled. The fight is a good one and for good reason. I for one, salute you Liz.
Outdoors RV is "Family Owned, does not follow "cost cutting" that others do, just sayin'
RV manufacturers have turned out garbage for the last 30 years.
That pretty much describes every industry
They always have turned junk. And lippert is one of the worst suppliers.
Perry Mason (Raymond Burr) once famously said to a threatening client who had accused Perry's client of slander. Perry said "The best defense for slander is the truth" The defense rests! Go Girl!
Whew, thank you so very much. Nervous to go up against a multi billion dollar company!!! Thanks for watching and stay tuned!
Unfortunately the truth doesn't matter much in civil court. It's the person with the most money who usually wins.
Slander is not slander if it's the truth. I worked for an insurance company that provided policies for Professional Liability, Excess Liability, Errors and Omissions coverages. I actually had to attend a court hearing and represent the Company in court, who was being sued because one of their policyholders had been sued for Slander. Some contractors were bidding on some work. They knew each other well and were competitors in the small town. The people who were taking bids on the work asked one contractor why he should hire him over the other one,as their bids were pretty much the same money wise. One contractor told him, in front of the other one, not to hire the other contractor, as he was a liar and an asshole. ( This is a true story btw). The people awarded the contract to the contractor, who told them the other guy was a liar and an asshole. The disparaged contractor filed suit against him for Slander, which is covered under their Professional Liability policy. They went to court over it. This contractor who filed the Slander suit said that the other contractor's accusations had harmed his credibility and his reputation with the locals who heard the conversation where he was called a liar and an asshole. It was damaging his ability to get work, he said. Our policyholder gave us names of people who we should call as witnesses, and we did. Several people got up on the stand and testified that this guy had, in fact, lied to them in the past, and all testified that he was an asshole as well. The jury decided against the liar and the asshole. They said the words " liar" and " asshole " were proven to be the TRUTH and NOT SLANDER since it was true. Liz, you can prove that this company sold inferior equipment. You have many people who can back up your videos. Don't take down your videos. That would imply that you felt like you did something nefarious, and you did not. Never surrender ⭐️ Come And Take It. That's our motto in Texas . It applies to you too. 😉
It seems that Leigh Tiffin initially wanted to go on the record, but then the attorneys spoke and like a Harry Houdini illusion, that idea was suddenly gone. No one can demand that you “preserve evidence” when they have no lawful right to do so. Cease and Desist letters are an intimidation tactic so the company can save face and money. If they shut you down with one letter, that’s a huge win for them. If they try to take you to court, they lose the case in court of public opinion and that can cost their company millions in sales losses. The company needs to focus their time and energy on helping the customers with their problems. If they resolve a customer’s RV issue, they look like the hero! It’s just common sense.
So much appreciation for what you're doing here, thank you!!
These companies have lost a customer
I don't blame you one bit. Thanks for watching, Lance!
Liz, I admire the work you do on behalf of RV owners, keep fighting and don't give in to these monster companies!!

Those companies just lost another customer. I will definitely avoid!! Thanks for bringing this up!!!

Kudos for not caving to their intimidation and more importantly not caving to their bribery. Lack of Integrity is a major factor in politics and business today. Your integrity is better than gold. Thank you.
No one that talks "off the record" is proud of their actions. Thanks for the fight and making a difference. I pray that you will prevail in your efforts to get the truth out to people.
Tell Lippert to pound sand. Have they ever heard on the 1st amendment?
It's unclear about the informant part. Patrick and Bea can tell their story but me reading the comments from the informant (without Lippert telling their side) is what has them upset, I believe. Thanks for watching.
Unfortunately doesn't apply to a billion dollar company that can file a bs lawsuit against someone with no basis, and the person has no money to defend themselves against the BS. I hope she keeps doing what she's doing, never watched her videos before this one and now I'm subscribed. Means she's doing something right!
The 1st Amendment only protects your speech from the government not private companies.
That doesn't matter. A company can sue you and you'll have to defend against it. That's where it gets really expensive. The First Amendment doesn't say you cannot be sued.
@@CerbTheUnidog I’d be willing to bet there are some civil rights organizations out there that would jump all over her defense
This video is very clever. A good way to avoid the threat of legal action is to take down the offending video - then produce another video that outlines why you took down the offending video. Bad RV companies end up shooting themselves in the foot. Well done.
These companies should use the information about these problems you reveal to improve the product's and using media to point out their improvements and give the customers a good vibe.
I personally noticed newer RV's are junk, quality down, price up! Thank you for honesty and candid content!
Just like the food industry.

WHERE ARE THEY?
I have a 1995 trailer. Besides a water leak from the roof that I had to fix, it's fully working.
Water, slide, heat, hot water, fridge on gas or electric, AC, it's all good and solid.
I look at these new campers and they are SO shoddy. The materials are so lightweight as they try and make units bigger and lighter weight so a smaller and cheaper truck will haul it.
What alot of folks dont realize is all travel trailers are built crappy. Some have more cake decorating than others, however they are not built to be left out in the weather. They all leak, rot and wear quickly.
Except Airstream
Exactly. They are made to go camping in not live in year round.
@@stargazer2533 I've been living full time in my 31' Airstream Excella 2 since 2002. 17.5 of those years with a pet wolf
Absolutely freeking correct. I had a mid 90's Newmar Londonaire fiver for many years, no problems, it cost NINETY THOUSAND DOLLARS in 1994. That's all it takes for quality, open your wallet, and seal your roof occasionally.
@@Strngr-- That's great but an Airstream is a different animal.
We purchased a new 2004 Keystone Everest 5th Wheel and the frame broke at the overhang junction and underneath the bedroom slide. My dealer was no help, but after getting in touch with Keystone, they were great. They picked up my unit the following week and started work on it right away and had it completed within a week. It required major repairing, but everything was put back perfect and looked like new.
Corruption is everywhere, this exposure will hurt this company’s reputation and so it should! You are a brave lady and consumers of RV’s or any subpar vehicles need to join you in the fight‼️
I'm both an engineer and 5th wheel owner. It is extremely obvious to me there is a total lack of quality in these! Since I bought the 5th as totalled with some side damage, I am convinced the previous owners whacked a tree on purpose, to total it and get out! In less than a year I've had to remove both ACs as they were not even centered over the roof port and leaked. AC ducting was not even connected in ceiling! The black tank plumbing came loose and was leaking, the DC charger whines due to poor quality components, several roof leaks, Lippert jack system both leaks, and bleeds down, water pump won't maintain pressure, zero access to furnace and furnace venting is too small causing over temp trips, none of the tank monitors work right, and the list goes on! In short, they build them from pop sickle sticks, put cute lipstick on them, and send them! 100% JUNK!!!!! I'd love to face their engineering team at trial! Let me explain, they build these on a glorified I beam flatbed trailer, with no way to arrest torsion, so all that torsion is driven into the walls. It's a horrible design!
Same horrifying laundry list of issues with my Forest River. A local servicing dealer ask me if I bought the brand new trailer with a SALVAGE TITLE! That’s how bad it was. Dealer and factory deliberately ran out my warranty and fixed NOTHING! Thousands out of my own pocket to fix a dozen plus major issues.
What do you mean by "arrest torsion"?
Take this as a sign you are doing good work! Just remember it's not slander if it's true.
Thank you for this!!!

My wife and I were talking about getting an RV until I watched videos on CZcams and saw how many people have videos of bad products and practices from the RV companies.
*NEW SUBSCRIBER HERE BECAUSE YOU SPEAK THE TRUTH AND ARE NOT INTIMIDATED BY CORPORATE LAWYERS!!!*
YOU GO, LADY!!!! 👏👏👏
The damage is done to that frame company. We all have seen the videos and some have saved them. Shame on them for trying to silence you! I hope you are able to keep reporting the poor quality and workmanship in the RV world.
As I've posted earlier; this is not the first or even second go around with this Lippert frame debacle. The RV 5th wheel forums were replete with examples of "Lippert frames failure" threads at least as far back as the early 2000's and yet they survived to see another crop of second generational buyers rolling the dice.
Let me pose this one question to you, I am in no way supporting the frame company what so ever I find what they did to Liz disgusting. That being said, Is it possible that the frame company is only part of the bigger picture. After all they are getting the frame specifications from the RV manufactures themselves right ? That also being said the part that is on the frame company is not questioning the RV manufacture to see if the specifications can withstand the weight that will be put onto said frames.
@@charlesmlane32 Good point. For instance, you wouldn't put a 327 Chevy in a Volkswagen without beefing up the frame, chassis, and basically every other part. If the RV manufacturer is contracting the frames, but exceeding the design specs and characteristics for which it was designed, that would make the frame manufacturer look bad.
I agree and disagree.... If the rv manufacture tells frame co. to build chassis, and rv company does not build on it correctly, the frame co. shouldn't be responsible. (Not saying that is or isnt the case, just saying they should be innocent until proven guilty.
@@charlesmlane32 Also the frame company may not know exactaly how the rv company is going to build on it. Rv company orders frames to x spifications, frame company does just that, then rv company can screw it up.
I'm so glad I saw this. My wife and I are looking to buy an RV. I definitely won't be buying from companies that are bullies. I will be sharing this with my RV friends and families. Thank You
Liz, Slim Potatohead had same frame issue as many and got screwed, too. He showed the weld job he had to do "out of pocket" that nearly cost his life had it happened while driving. Seeems like he's been hushed. He's Canadian. Showed weld in latest video High Plains Thrifter at 5:37 minute mark. If you can work with him, that'd be great.
These high and mighty industry goons that want to talk with you "off the record" think you're ignorant and that they can bully you. Always do negotiations either in writing or by video because you absolutely cannot trust them. We, the general public, are so very fortunate to have people like you in our court who don't back down or allow themselves to be intimidated. Thank you for keeping us all informed and telling it like it is.
This woman is a Hero. I wish a local or national news network would pick up her story and take it to another level. They wouldn't have the balls then to send CBS or any of those big guys any cease and desist letter. But Liz can be as effective and informative without mentioning their names and just show the RV's (but not the name) and tell where they are located and the public would know and make comments so others could see who they are, then legally they couldn't prove slander in court.
Liz needs to get contact 60 minutes. They will expose these crooks in the RV industry!
@@skydancerforever "These crooks..." I wouldn't say that unless you can back it up. That's practically defamation per se.
@@MrShobar "practically defamation per se" to who? who is the plaintiff? There is no specific name in my post. It's a opinion of the complete industry which looks to have been exposed by the people that already got screwed by the RV industry.
The RV industry can be very shady. I bought a “new” Pinnacle (in 2000) with low mileage that was supposed to be from “transport”. As soon as we loaded it and traveled, it shook uncontrolably. I found out via the chassis (Ford V10) that it was a lemon return. Well documented, unfixable issues. Dealer took it back after a lot of forceful speech on my part. They had already disposed of my trade-in and I was forced to buy something off their lot.
I am currently in the market for possibly a trailer or what will be my 4th Class A. These videos are helpful. Thank you.
I care more about where I spend my money than how I spend it.
Years ago, I bought a new Four Winds class A camper. Every time it rained, a leak would appear in a different area! I traded it in on a Georgetown xl, and haven’t had a problem yet.
There is a CZcams attorney in Michigan whose advise on RV’s is “don’t “. It’s a legal nightmare. Nobody takes responsibility for a product with materials from multiple suppliers and the game is “pass the blame”, to the point, even when customers prevail they have a difficult time collecting compensation for loses. I’ve had mostly bad experiences with Rv dealerships. If you are handy you build your own. The Glen L company sells boat plans for DIY boats. They also have DIY rv’s.
not legal advise: most cease and desist letters are usually just intimidation. they are an on-the-record request to please do what we say because we are scary lawyers. For a slander case, they'd have to find a way to calculate damages, prove malice, and prove that you lied (which requires intentional false statements).
What a crock. The owners that have major issues should have class action suits filed against them.
Do consult a lawyer Liz. A go fund me account may need to be set up so you can protect yourself. I for one, will donate.
I just helped my wife’s cousin do some repairs on his brand new Alliance 5th wheel on its first trip. Several sheet metal screws had come loose and or fallen out on both wheel fender skirts. We purchased machine screws, washers and nylock nuts and replaced them all. The thin aluminum siding was so thin that it would not hold the screws in. He cut his hand reaching into the front storage
compartment due to drywall type screws being too long and protruding out of the compartment carpeting. We also found a metal strap that held the lower side of the aluminum metal behind the left trailer wheels only fastened on one end! This is a 135k trailer on its first voyage.
Yup, please do a go fund me to fight these clowns. I hate dishonest people and companies.
Class action suits only benefit lawyers. They are better off with their own individual representation.
Class action might get some quality issues resolved instead of one case.
So it’s not just Grand Design, huh go figure..
Go fund me! I would contribute.
I have a 1991 Scotty Trailer I bought for $2700 in 2016; its my first trailer and will always be my trailer. In 1997 someone burnt down Scotty's RV motor home factory in Indiana and put them out of business.
The perfect defense against defamation and libel lawsuits is the truth. Tell the truth and you have no issues. Companies use lawsuits and threats to suppress speech they don’t like.
Consult an attorney before acting but I would send a response letter politely telling them where they can go. Heck, I would even encourage them to file a lawsuit being that they don’t have a legal standing to obstruct your speech.

I just shared this with the Tiffin Network. This is the main forum for Tiffin owners and is the most extensive one of it's kind. I just sold my 2017 Tiffin Breeze because I was concerned about the longevity of the Cummins ISV 5.0 engine used in the 2017-2019 models. I know of four of them where the engine crankshafts have broken, requiring $40,000 engine replacements, and I'm sure there are more. Neither Bob Tiffin, nor Cummins has acknowledged any problems, even though the NHTSA has opened an investigation into this issue with the Nissan pickups that used this same engine. This is the unfortunate state of the RV industry in this country right now. Thank you for being a champion for RV owners!
Thank you, Liz, for the work you put into this channel. I opted not to but an RV back in 2020 because I just couldn’t get over how cheaply is was made - it felt like it was made out of cardboard. I didn’t remember them being this way back in the 80s. Anyway, your videos really shed light on these problems and the manufacturers who are basically selling inferior products for much higher prices these days. It’s sad really - people will pay for quality and will appreciate good craftsmanship. Companies like Thor are just degrading their reputation so much at this point.
Liz, I know many people that purchased rv’s or campers that needed to take them back to the dealer to get immediate repairs. Those repairs took MONTHS. Unacceptable during camping season. My brand new camper upon delivery was found to not have the upgraded wheels that it was supposed to have, also was shown in the pictures of my camper. Someone swapped them out and thought we wouldn’t notice. We were planning on buying a smaller rv for touring recently but upon watching sooo many videos from consumers like you, we have decided to drive in our reliable car or fly to our destinations and stay in hotels. I’ve also had to make my own repairs on new campers because water was getting in where the manufacturer didn’t simply caulk with better caulk. Also unacceptable. Knowing now that these companies are threatening you with legal action to SHUT YOU UP so people can continue buying their substandard framed product is disheartening. They make enough money to back up their product. Thanks for getting the word out.
Lippert is the Temu of RV parts. I’ve had my share of problems with their awning motors, 3 failures in 4 years. But the worst and most dangerous issue was with the Lippert Super Lube axles
I followed the company recommendations for the type of grease and method of adding grease to the axles only to have the grease expand and squeeze out the rear seal and grease up the brake shoes when the grease warms up to temperature.
My truck was going through brakes every year even with maximum trailer brake bias set.
Even set that high it barely slowed down when I applied trailer brakes only, when I tested them.
I took the trailer wheel apart and found the brake shoes and drums had no wear because they were coated in axle grease.
I called Lippert and the representative seemed to know exactly what the problem was and how to stop it from happening again.
He told me to replace the parts and use a different grease and not follow the Lippert directions for filling the hub with grease but to take the bearings out and hand pack with grease just like old school.
Wow! I looked at a fellow RVers Super Lube axles and she had the exact same problem from following their instructions.
I wonder how many people are out there up and down mountain passes and grades with brakes that have Super Lubbed braked shoes! Scary!
After the rep told me how much the parts were going to cost it took very little prodding from me to have him to agree to ship them to me free of charge even though it was out of warranty.
Seems they wanted the problem to go away.
Thanks for your gutsy reporting!
Yikes!
My husband does Google reviews for things we purchase and if we are stating the truths we do not remove them. Stay strong!!! Truth sets us free!!
Ditto, but you can be sued for that also - it happens.

I’m so glad I’ve found these videos. Now we know the companies that have questionable ethics who will leave you hanging out to dry once you drive off in one of their products. HOW DARE THEY take so much money from consumers and then tell anyone to shut about it after they’ve caused incalculable stress and frustration to customers without an ounce of resolution, especially after they’ve taken a fortune for products that are causing so much inconvenience and expense. Business ethics are becoming a rarity. Hopefully if this continues, donations can be made to help you with attorneys fees. I’m shocked and sickened over this. No one deserves to be threatened or silenced for holding companies accountable to make good on their products.
Dear Liz, We are all so proud of you for not selling out yourself or this channel! Thank you for that. The failure of these Lippert frames, I'm sure you are aware of... has been documented by other RVers, as well as technicians, all over the internet for at least 2 years. We didn't buy the Grand Design based on these frames. However, a picture or video in this case, is worth a thousand words. We appreciate that you have put yourself out there to bring these stories of new RVs failing. I'm sorry it has caused you such grief. However, you must be doing something right for them to become so irate over one lady's CZcams channel. You must be making an impact. I can't help but wonder why there are no standards in this industry. Of course I'm not stupid. Thanks for letting us know what's going on. I'm glad you took steps to keep yourself safe.
This is what happens when an industry gets too consolidated - the lack of competition corrupts (and clearly removes any intelligence). Honestly how stupid, can they be? I hope the RV community goes Bud Light on these companies. Stay strong. You have a lot of supporters.
Don't stop!! Be safe with your reporting. There is a class action suite against LIPPERT!!
You can speak that!
Whats the big deal recording a conversation? If the companies have nothing to hide then they should have nothing to worry about. Thanks for standing up to the RV bullies!
We own a 2021 Tiffin. We maybe used our bedroom slide which is Lippert, 20 times when it broke. It never did work right from the moment that we received it and we were past warranty so we put out $3800 to repair it. It really is a piece of garbage and we should replace it with a different system, because it’s just not reliable. I am so sorry to hear that both Lippert and Tiffin put you through this. This past fall when we went out to New Mexico, we heard of a couple of frame failures on brand new RVs, so it is happening, and probably many of them are not even on CZcams. Thank you for this video and your honesty!

that seems to be the new norm. And it's not just RV's. Hang in there, remember to stop to breath, just like you did in this post.
We have 6 year old 32" pull trailer, starter model from Forest River. I suppose that is explanation enough. Having said that,
it has worked well, and we work on it constantly from repairing a cracked frame ( probably our bad) to putting in our own
washing machine. As I was once told, " There are 2 kinds of RV's, those that leak and those that are gonna leak..".
Kind of explains the whole modern RV process. Start with that knowledge and you are well armed for what's coming.
Good luck. Bill n Cat
Thanks for standing up to these manufacturers! I've subscribed on the basis of this video.
I myself witnessed just how shady the RV industry is capable of being back about 20 years ago, when I worked as a night watchman at a dealership who had sold a family an RV that was defective (I don't recall the brand of RV manufacturer). Both the dealership & manufacturer refused to honor the warranty. Little did they know that the buyer was an experienced lawyer who then fought them both for the sheer fun of it... he didn't need the money, he was just very offended by their actions. He & I had many pleasant conversations to pass the time while his RV was parked on their lot and he said that he was finding that his problem wasn't an isolated one. So what you're telling us doesn't surprise me at all.
I surely hope that the CZcams algorithm keeps steering views your way and that there's a few lawyers who might've gotten messed with in the past who might join your effort to effect some change for the better!
Give ‘em hell Liz!
Thanks again!!! Stay tuned.
I used to work for a company that supplied items to Lippert. They were the worst! They were so arrogant. Ugh. I hated working with them.
I appreciate your informative videos. Consumers need to know the good, the bad and the ugly of products they buy. Let us decide if it’s our fit. What the RV conglomerates need to do is upgrade their brand for customer satisfaction and safety. The customer is right, the testers of the products. Keep up the good work and a big thank you.

I've seen and heard of these nightmares for years. Stand your ground! I'm currently building one of my own. It's definitely SAFER and worth it.
HEAR, HEAR Liz!!! The RV Camping World is behind you 1000%! Boy did they handle that wrong! What a tremendous opportunity they had to help and do the right thing. They lost their chance to be at the top, EPIC 😅FALURE! We're still going old style with a custom Schoolie❤ You hard work has saved us thousands of dollars and we appreciate you more than you know!❤ Thank you Liz❤
🔥🔥 I am an RV expert witness. And trust me I know where to look to dig up the dirt if I have to I’ve done it in the past. I want everyone to know that there are trucks to go down the freeway that are caring way more than 80,000 pounds and their frames are not cracking some of them haul as much as 900 tons the weight of a steel power transformer and there was trailers and trucks frames are not cracking. 🔥🔥🔥. If the manufacturers really cared, they would put air rides suspensions on the trailers to give the coach a soft ride. Also, they would do crash tests on the trailers as far as how much weight, those trailers will transport before they crack, and before they build the RV on top of the trailers
🔥🔥🔥. Think about it if an RV manufacturer that was buying trailers the frames if you will from the companies that build the frames and then put huge amounts of weight on the frame, secure it properly and drive it down the road for a good long time, off-road, and on the freeway and see how much weight it takes for the frame to crack And break up that’s what needs to happen if I owned an RV manufacturing company, I would take brand new trailers and I would put them through rigorous testing transporting huge amounts of weight on them before I build my coach on top of them 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Where is the test results before they construct the RV on top of the trailers good luck finding them
Personally, I could change the reputation of any RV manufacturer, and the corporate CEOs of these companies would be very impressed with my abilities, but they would never pay me to do that
@@stickbogart3657 Thanks for your wise input!👍
@@stickbogart3657have you ever presented yourself to them?
I was a heavy truck tech for a well known mfgr that builds chassis for the rv industry. There would be a collective groan when a class a showed up for service. The way rv builders cobbled those rv’s together was crazy!
We were also instructed to never talk to the owner because some were not happy for various reasons and if a tech agreed with the owners complaints the tech could be dragged into a lawsuit as a witness.
I miss the old Class B. At least you did not need a doghouse unless you had a dog!
