I had a 72’ 250 Alpina, bought it brand spanking new off the showroom floor when I was only 13 years old, got it right after I moved to Hawaii with my family and this bike was made for the rainforests and jungles on Kauai. I took it places where my dad and friends on Mx bikes couldn’t go. We moved back to California after five years and it sat in storage for about a year and a half I put gas in it and it started after the second kick. I sure wish I still had it!
I grew up in Avenal California, which was one of the best ridding area's anywhere, as a kid on my XR 75 I got to see many bike's like this in action, now days with the internet I get to learn the history of great bike's like Bultaco, montessa, Maico and Husqavarna, all of which I considered exotic at that time, now I wish I was wealthy so I could collect them all and start my own motocycle museum, I would really like to share my love for motorcycle's with others and pass along the great history of these amazing machine's....
I live in Spain, a friend of mine has that exact bike and still rides it regularly. The right side shifting can be a bit confusing at times but it is still a fun trail bike.
Bill is awesome. He gave me a tour of the museum when I stopped by unannounced. He was busy but he took the time show me and chat when he didn't have to, but he did. All of your guys are good guys, true motorcycle guys, very respectful and full of integrity.
I remember finding second hand Bultacos like these up the back in the second hand bike section and they were usually all thrashed to hell and no one wanted them anymore
That bike is a perfect example of taking pride in your work absolutely gorgeous and the professors knowledge is just awesome 👍👍👍 I'd love to work for you guys talk about a dream job keep it up guys love every minute
Hey guys on Facebook marketplace up here in Michigan there's a 72 rupp 80 looks like all the parts are there and engine turns 300 bucks I know you guys can make it shine again check it out 👌🇺🇸💪
I remember about a year and a half ago you guys had run across a shop full of European trials bikes enduros and motocrossers. One of them was an early Bultaco 66 67 I think it was a 250cc and it was called an "acorn head". Super rare super desirable. Bull Taco always made a really great bike up until about 1982.
Bultaco has a sculpted. streamlined. beautiful .lines ...I had a vented Bultaco racing jersey in the early 70s ..I thought it was the coolest thing ever back then ...this bike would be the coolest thing ever ..FTW🇺🇸
This bike is FAR from being near Bultaco's first over 300cc single two stroke motors. For instance, I had a 1974 El Montedero 370. She had a mean top-end now let me tell YOU! I think it was specific to be an ice racer. I hit the trails with it, gunned it on hard packed clay rich dirt and it dug at LEAST an eighth mile long trench that showed all shift points, slinging a rooster tail of dirt the whole time, ripping tree roots and such. She loved to scream WOT. Hated everything else, stock factory expansion chamber went straight down and bellied-out later in the flow.
I had an Alpina 350 with the chrome fenders. Mine weren't in nearly as good of shape tho... I got it from a mechanic who took it in on trade from someone who couldn't pay their shop bill. I think I gave him $300 for it in 1995. Sold it a few years later to buy a KLR650, but wish I hadn't.
I had one for several years back in the day. This was the ultimate trail bike. Gear it down a tooth or two and it would climb trees. I modded the front end by replacing the forks and triple clamps from a Pursang, and added some decent shocks, used Blendzall synthetic and never fouled a plug. This motor was never peaky and low end torque is amazing. After the mods, I could cruise down the fire roads all day then hit the tight technical stuff with my Sherpa buddies. After the two dealerships that handled parts for Bultaco went bye bye, and the transmission started to wear, I had to move on. What a shame.
Been waiting for this vid 😊 I tell you what I would kill myself on this bike with the shifter being on the right and rear brake being on the left. It would a while to get used to that.
when you die and if you've been a good boy you will go to heaven and one of these will be waiting for you with your name on registration plate, and there will be nobody shouting "YOU CAN'T RIDE THAT HERE, THIS IS A FOOTPATH FOR DOG WALKERS NOT MOTORBIKES". . instead, you will hear "that's a lovley bike are you having fun, I wish I had one just like it, have a nice day" yip you've arrived at the right place. . .

Aun esta en casa, y ahora es de mi hermano.

I remember seeing all these old bikes when they were new in the magazines.
Classiest bikes ever made. Had a 78 Alpina. Thumbs up on the bolt heads, grips, about everything. So much workmanship
Esa es exactamente igual que la mía de Ávila ( España).
I never heard a more perfect sound. I can play that exhaust note all night while I sleep. What a beauty!

Wish they still made them... super-simple, reliable.. only bad thing new was the rear shock, just needed to toss 5" travel Koni's on her and go race.
Nice Bultaco! 👍
I needed that spark plug holder on my 85 it would die all the time when I’d be out riding I’d change the plug and it ran like new
It’s Francesco Bulto, his nickname was Paco
I have a good friend here in my hometown who has this same bike!! “ been praying he will sell it to me😆👍

Trials Riders are the best in the world on hard core steep single track

That thing belongs in a living room of my house
I know where there are two of them Bultacos they sit at a auto body shop outside Montello NY sadilacks garage on rt 42
Pure sexy bike.
Isn't bultaco pretty much what is the gasgas company now? Even though KTM owns them now

Is there a compression release lever on the bars?
my dad bought a new 72 from razee
great*
Just stop Ken how much do you want for that work of art
Is this bike available or any other 350 of this make. Looking for one. Thanks
Do these want castor oil?
Leave the jets alone, just move the clip up one or two positions on the metering rod in carb, that will probly do it for leaning it out just right.
put the proper silencer on before you jet
Where are you located?
chain oiler needs a line and Ossa was a better bike,I have both and an 86 alpina original right down to the tires
How much is something like this worth?
Left kick starts suck. if your in race come off and stall the bike why when near on everyone right footed
Very same color
chop wood and paint house or go riding hmmmm lol i am goin riding' the wife may get choked more than the bike
