The surest sign that something went wrong is when Perna says, "That makes sense"
Grossi with the Ryan Grant name drop.
Been a long time since I've heard anything about him.
Love the show Tom and Brandon.
Love the Aaron Jones signing too.
Skol
I'm sad about Aaron Jones. And I'm even more sad he went to the Vikings. I think Xavier McKinney and Josh Jacobs will be great impact players, but the Aaron Jones news hurts. I wish he could have been a packer for life.
Now we just need our defense to actually be elite this time! So sick and tired of the Packers having an XFL or barely NFL level defense year after year the majority of the time!
Next season will seem bizarre at first. So many coaching and big player changes on many teams. The Circus spectacle that surrounds Harbaugh will get really interesting. Big shake ups on NFC North Teams and the Lions just may make 2024 better than 2023. Packers were solid at the end of this season so this team isnt all that far from title contention. All you need is Love.......
Losing Aaron Jones does hurt tho
Didn’t realize Chargers had no money to work with. Probably trade back in draft to get more capital.
Dont forget Geno Stone going to the Bengals lol. Everyone running to rival teams lol
Tom, please describe the offseason....."it was the Best of Times, it was the Worst of Times.....AHHHH"
Tom - Life long Vikings fan here. I know I'm supposed to not like Your channel, With that being said, I love Your Channel and content. Keep up the great work!!
Wish we coulda kept him but Gute has proven he knows what the hell he is doing. I will trust that this gives us a better chance of winning going forward.
Releasing David Bakhtiari was a great move for the Packers. He hadn't played in almost three years and it was doubtful he was going to play again this year. He's gotten free money since his injury and I'm happy he's finally gone. Let him go to the Jets now.
You blacked out for a large chunk of 2022 and the first week of 2023, didn't you
I’m sure he doesn’t consider doing physical rehab everyday to be free money
0:52 I know Tom said "Stole Davante" in response to the chat message, but for a second I thought he said "Skol, Davante" 😂
Looking more and more that Vikings will draft JJ. So they will have JJ #1 & #2. Interesting to see how he does. Caleb, JJ, Goff & Love will make for a very competitive division.
I love your show. My question is how do teams make money? They fill the stadium with fans that pay do see a good team a good players. They should have market cap space for 5 fan favorite players. These players can protect the team from financial hits by the league. They also protect the fans from losing there favorite players.
This is why baseball is losing fans and basketball players go from team to team chasing big money .
Is it still a tandem when the NFL is in the off season?
It was not a better tandem than Montgomery and gibbs
Perna now understands how every Vikings fan feels. They suck but if they can screw the Packers it's like winning the Superbowl.
Signing Aaron jones isn’t screwing over the packers lol
@@aaronsanders6162 It is on an emotional level for sure.
Buccaneers have managed in many cases resigned folk and do stuff to let players retire of Buc. But Brady doing his taking less than his market value coming into team culture helps that some. Still have to let some go but the bringing back whole team after Super Bowl and this years retain everyone we wanted to keep comes from this mix of practical and more loyalty than normal.
I'm very sad to see Jones gone. Totally understand what happened but it's still sad. Being a Viking won't mean anything though, they will suck. Sorry Aaron, you deserve better. Love you man, but Go Pack Go!
Get used to it. It's going to happen way more often. Playing with one franchise is going to become a fantasy and teams will become a revolving door for talent
Its not new it just a feature of bad teams
@SunShine-xc6dh you ain't know shit. It's not a sign of whether a team is bad.
@eliice1715 lol if your just swapping players in hopes of getting better it means you bad now..
@@SunShine-xc6dh or just need to clear cap space
@@SunShine-xc6dh Not really. You have to keep new talent coming in all the time to stay relevant for long periods of time. Pats dynasty, 49ers dynasty, chiefs right now.
For an hour the Packers had the second best running back tandem in the league and the division. Gibbs + Montgomery is still a better overall tandem.
It just shows that rivals don't mean anything to these players anymore is what I got out of this
Why should it though? Their teams didn't value them anyway
@@zaneplatt3533 Because it lowers the quality of a lot of games. Rivalries are supposed to be the highest quality most competitive games. If players dont care about rivalries then every game just turns into a normal regular season game. But i do think some rivalries still exist and they should. Rival games are the most unpredictable.
@@Typzicalhow is players going to a divisional team making the rivalry less? If anything that makes it more.
@@mikehunt4503 not really because they still cool with them players so they still all be talking and everything else
@@brownsfan-gg7gy If they hit hard and fight on the field, so what?
The giants were willing to match any deal as long as it was over what we were willing to spend. The eagles deal was over so we didn't give an offer. We still tried for 2 years to keep him. And we aren't mad he left it's that he went to the freaking eagles
Gutekunst has been GM since 2018 and the Packers don't have a Super Bowl... so, until then unlike my fellow Packer fans... I'm not in love with our GM especially since the emergence of the Lions means just being Kings of the North isn't the guarantee it once was so I'm no looking to have better play off results from his business decisions. A competent kicker would be really nice too.
Haven't seen anything on the Lions so far, unless they improve their defense, GB can take advantage of the secondary. The lions were good last year, but they could've been great with a good defense. Shit the Cowboys beat them (yes refs cheated) but look what GB defense did to Dallas, that the Lions couldn't.
Assuming Darnold is the Vikings starting QB is pure copium. He's a backup
It's a rare thing for someone to use a word I'm unfamiliar with. Copium, thanks for increasing my slang vocabulary. Cheers Dinie.
Perna remind me, was Aaron Jones turning three years younger for this money?
I remember three years ago GB signed Aaron to a deal most fans thought was a bit bigger and longer than expected.
Now three years have passed. Things are different. Grow up.
I pity the fools who don't watch GPS clips. Saw Mr. T in a commercial the other day, he has dropped some weight.
Maybe Aaron Jones talked too much? Josh hasnt spoken for years...
The only business is selling tickets, selling merchandise, and selling adds. Is the franchise with the most successful business the best team or is it the cowboys? If the business is just Winning 5 million for one of the best backs in the league is steal. Still paying 12 million to not have him is not step towards more success.
Packers are LOADED,! Go Pack!!
Yes many more playoff games! But no Super Bowl! Remember the Buffalo Bills?
Guys, Tiki Barber was joking too.
Dont worry Tom, Vikings will be basement dwelling next year
You know they won't.
@@eodyn7 I would say it's greater than 50% , however the Bears are the Bears soooo....
Viking fan here, we're gonna suck but it was time to unload some contracts. I think they have $135 million to work with in 2025. Time for fan hibernation.
Vikings will go 5-12
Jacobs style doesn't fit the packers offense
Have you watched Jacobs? He is a great screen target.
What? He fits lafleur's offense really well
Dude is literally an all pro running back. They are grabbing jacobs like the 9ers grabbed mccaffrey
@DrainzPHD 0 receiving tds there more to it than being a target.
@DrainzPHD he's a one time all pro in a season where he had like 100 more carries than any packers running back has had in any season under Lafleur.
