    I have been diagnosed with ADHD for a few years now, and I thought I knew most of the symptoms. However, through your videos, I have realized that there are so many more of my daily struggles that are caused by or related to ADHD. Thank you for making me aware of these things so I can understand how to treat them!

    5:25 this. I've been experiencing really bad headaches since I started puberty along with showing a lot of symptoms of autism. I finally went to the doctor at 19 and he said it's just stress because of uni and lack of sleep.

    loved the accepting yet firm and advisory tone of the tiktok at 2:50 !! thank you for including a less aggressive, "SELF DIAGNOSIS IS EVIL!!"-y vid

      Idk how old you are, but where did you find one and would you say it's suitable for the average adult in terms of size and style cause I'm in the market lol

    I’m self diagnosed, with autism, but I do have ADHD and this compilation makes me happy :)
    Also does anyone want to talk about special interests, I am doing a project on frogs if anyone wants the links to everything?

    8:36 What's interesting is I don't hear, smell or taste all that well. My strongest sense is sight, but I don't get overwhelmed by sight. (Maybe I do, but not in what is typically something that would lead to a meltdown.) I don't really "feel" all that well unless it's something drastic, like a texture I don't like or the temperature is extreme.
    Idk I just wanted to express that while there are many people out there who are neurodivergent and face many overstimulated issues. There are many out there who face understimulated issues, if that makes sense. I don't smell, taste or hear, nearly half the stuff my neuro typical friends can. Most of the time I'll go outside to check the temperature, take in all the sights around me, come back in and think "I don't even remember what the temperature felt like" unless it was extreme and I noticed it as soon as I opened the door.

      Yep I’m definitely more on the hyposensitive/sensory seeking end of things except with touch and sight. I barely notice noise most of the time and actually feel like I’m going insane if I don’t have constant audio playing in the background.

    Ok idk why ppl think self diagnosis is valid... it's textbook definition of bias lmao

    • @wheelshoe
      @wheelshoe Před rokem +1

      the amount of barriers in getting a diagnosis for a vast amount of people make well-researched self-diagnosis valid. i won't go over them all but it's pretty easy to find the reasons why people believe it to be valid. personally i've been self-diagnosed for four years and only now have the ability to pursue a medical diagnosis (which i am currently in the midst of doing)

    • @tauhid9983
      @tauhid9983 Před rokem +1

      @@wheelshoe Well a self diagnosis is only guiding mechanism toward getting a real diagnosis. It should never be taken as legally in terms of when applying for jobs or anything. I understand it maybe difficult but it doesn't change the truth that self diagnosis is far far from a real thing even though you maybe sure to a t.

    I have autism(self diagnosed, can’t afford an official diagnosed) and i NEED a schedule and so i have my weekly schedules and so when my physical pain gets to be to much i just- push through it and deal with it because the schedule comes in priority in my brain- example, i (tw/cw: thr0w!ng *p, brief mention of it, no graphic description) thr3w up in my mouth 3 times during my taekwondo class but i didn’t take a break. i nearly had a breakdown before class because someone wasn’t there without warning and it sucked. we had dinner early today and i’m now sitting in my room and i want to CRY because the schedule was messed up- i need my schedule, and that is why
