    The bubble thing, yes! I get so snappy if someone interrupts my little internal stories, opens my door or asks something completely irrelevant out of nowhere. if there is ONE thing you do to clean yourself you MUST MUST MUST brush your teeth! even if you just brush them for 30 seconds w no toothpaste it's still better than nothing! your teeth health affects everything else! once they go, so does the rest! make it a goal to brush at least once a day and floss once a week if you can't do anything else!

    • @Beeba10
      @Beeba10 Před 2 lety +11

      @@Star_Rattler I know, I hate that I can’t do it sometimes. But when the executive dysfunction hits, for whatever reason that’s just one of the things I physically **cannot** make myself do. I’ll sit and think, over and over to myself, “Just get up and brush your teeth. It’ll take 2 minutes, then you can come and sit down again. It’s not hard, just go do it. Your teeth will rot if you don’t, GO.” But I **can’t** go. Thankfully, I seem to have managed to brush them often enough over the years that I haven’t had any major issues with them; only major thing was, because I have a very strong gag reflex mixed with a phobia of vomiting, I sometimes struggle to brush my back teeth, so I had to get my top two wisdom teeth removed a few years back because I couldn’t brush them and they were really bad. Honestly I don’t know HOW they aren’t worse, because one time the executive dysfunction was so bad I couldn’t brush them for a whole WEEK, and when I finally got the motivation to brush them again, I was terrified I’d done some real damage this time, but thankfully they seem okay, no pain or visible decay (and I’ve been to the dentist since that . . . incident). I’ve actually been really proud of myself recently because I’ve been brushing them pretty much everyday (I’ve had one or two hiccups) this past month or two, even if I don’t manage in the morning I try to do so after I have a bath, so I’ve at least brushed them once. Going to try and work up to twice a day, but idk how long that’ll be, need to set the once a day into my routine first, get used to it.

      I have a good number of things I carry with me at all times that are standard to have on a daily bases for different stim needs (for example) or water bottles and medication...It's like I look like I'm moving out every time I go somewhere! I put it all in a regular size backpack as a purse, but I also have a big water bottle and Noise Cancelling Headphones (I literally need almost all the time) and a small sling purse for my phone and chargers, chords! 🤷‍♂️😂🤷‍♀️...
      When I was little I use to scoop up all my toys and important items in my tiny toddler arms and say, "I'M READY TO GO NOW!"...My mom would ask if I needed help carrying anything and I would literally be like, "NO! THESE ARE MINE! I CAN DO IT MYSELF!" 🤣 (I still only ask for help if I literally cannot anymore, but I do realize that I can ask for help and people who care will help me)...
      AND I also can loose things, so if it's not put in a certain place or area or grouping, I might loose it because "out of sight, out of mind!"...
      So Personalizing items is like an Autism thing and "out of sight, out of mind" is like an ADHD thing!

      I think it is normal for neurotypical people sometimes, especially if they're introverted and have been talking too much so they have low energy or they're talking to someone they can't stand?
      It's important to know for disorders that the severity and amount of traits matter. Most people show some autism traits sometimes, but only in certain situations and to a certain degree of severity (in both "strength" and amount). For example, introverts find it difficult to socialise because it drains their energy. On the flip side though, some autistic people love socialising. I know someone with autism who seems to know pretty damn near everyone in the whole college.
      Autism is _really_ complicated and I suggest speaking to a professional if you can if you think you may have it or you need information on it. Heck, you could find you actually have something else instead because of how much autism symptoms overlap with other disorders (e.g. ADHD)! :)

      @cartoods195 Před 2 lety

      @@cantin8697 I'm not sure if you have autism or not, but here is your answer.
      Being non-verbal is when it is physically painful to talk. Your brain is whirring around at 100mph and you just want to shut off. You have to almost push words out of your mouth and you get 10x more tired everytime. You become passive, and uncomfortable. You can hear every sound and can't block it out.
      I don't think introverts experience this. Some autistics like socialising, but for the majority it's hard when masking.

    Very comforting while i work up the nerve to actually get evaluated for ADHD. My brother and i understand each other on a very deep level, i think part of the reason is that he has accepted that the way i think/operate is out of the ordinary.

    Ok screw you! It's past 12 am and I was like "haha it's scaringly relatable as always!" But then there is the bubble world tiktok that plays and I'm like "YES YES YES yeeeesss!!! Finally someone says it out loud... Ok now I'm scared...."
    And like I wasn't tested for autism or ADHD (I did a test that I forgot the name that actually can gives a good hint at autism but it's not used for it) plus ADHD runs through the family. so you know what? I don't want to have a crisis past 12am in the car to a vacation I don't want to go to so no thank you!
    I still love the video tho :)

    So uh the fact that not everyone has an inner monolog, that not everyone can just have like.....mental conversations with themselves and try to see both sides.....its unnerving in a very bad way......I love horror movies bc they scare me but this.......this information scares me in a way I don't know how to explain but its bad

    1:27 as as someone who does this… is it bad? whenever i draw are create something i love to show people and often get really happy and exited to do so but… is it a bad thing? im genuinely confused, is it rude to show other people my drawings when im done? is that why they ignore me and dont seem interested? im lost :(

    • @sparkless1549
      @sparkless1549 Před 2 lety +2

      It is not bad. It’s ok to be passionate about the things you like/ love and ESPECIALLY about the things you create. Keep showing off your artwork. Who knows, maybe one day you’ll show it to the right person who’s ready to get you into your own business. It’s ok to be overly excited and passionate. :)

    Does having GAD (generalized anxiety disorder) make me neurodivergent or am I still neurotypical? I’ve heard a lot of things. Someone pls explain .-.

    • @MsApocalypseRider
      @MsApocalypseRider Před 2 lety +4

      It doesn't by itself; however, anxiety is a pretty common symptom of neurodivergence as we live in a world not really suited for our sensory needs and it stresses the hell out of us every day.
      Don't self-diagnose, though! Please see a specialist if you are able to, and have them evaluate you if you feel that something's off.

    I definitely have that world bubble towards school assignments that say to put things iny own words. Cause I'll do the assignment but for putting things in my own words the teacher is getting 1 sentence max for each question but they end up sending it back saying it's incomplete. Like bitch- you just told me to put it in my own words not write a whole paragraph about it.

    Why would you think with words when you can think with abstract concepts.

    I have inner monologue. Does this mean that I’m neurodiverse?

    • @toothfairy10133
      @toothfairy10133 Před 2 lety

      no, just because a lot of nt people don't have one doesn't mean that no nt people have one. im pretty sure it's still more common to have an internal monologue than not no matter who you are, it's just fairly common (which doesn't have to be more than half or even quarter of the population, it's a very vague term, it just means it's not unheard of) in nt people and hardly ever occurs in nd people.
