The west coast style is what the air raid came out of. It was putting the old BYU passing game into the gun. 2 back was a common thing of early air raid but a true air raid offense is interesting because with Hal we had probably 12-15 plays but we could run each play in every formation. Mesh was the base play that we dedicated an entire period of practice to. Like you said it’s a layered system, when you add in the Tony Franklin shallows stuff you really see it. A key difference in the Tony franklin/ Todd Dodge variant is they tagged a post coming over the dig while Hal always had a vertical. You hit on the hot route, with us we had basically the RNS verticals from the old ncaa14 run n shoot play book but both slots/Y had the seam read. The QB would have a guy sit if he told the other slot to post. Surge or double screen with a swing and tunnel combo was a big play. Mesh, seam read verts, Y cross, and Y corner were big. We ran some run n shoot stuff because Hal was buddies with June jones before he left us for SMU
Dope I’ve already been running Washington St offense
Finally we get some love in an EACF25 video. Go Cougs!
Love your videos. Keep it up
I appreciate that! Much love! Growing this community one vid at a time! ❤️🙏🏽
This is a great informative video, and it was just what I was looking for. You just earned a subscription from me for sure. And your video was short and concise, even though I would've watched a longer video because of the quality.
Thank you, my guy! I constantly wonder if I'm boring people and checking if my content isn't appealing. I'm glad someone likes it!
Good vid tho !!
Watched so much WKU because my jets just got Corley
Miami and Shannon Dawson’s power raid could have made the cut
Notice me Senpai! Love the air raid I might give it a shot with my created team in Dynasty. Go south western Texas state cowboys!!!!!
Notice me Senpai! Think I may try the air raid.
Locked in! Nice choice!
What offense should I run with Texas A&M and defense?
Man, A&M has a lot of returning defensive talent and transfers coming in, and they are also always solid at wideout. I'd say a 4-2-5, but also, they have good personnel for an attacking 3-4. Multiple could easily work. On offense, some sort of spread all the way. I don't know the running back situation, so if you want to be more of a passing or running will be up to you.
Gonna be nice to.raid again
High Flyer ✈️!
Does Miss State count as Air Raid or Veer and Shoot?
Air raid last year but I hear they're going to a veer and shoot this year.
You should make more shorts those get out to more people
Nah fax
I want to but the hours don't count towards obtaining the partnership. You need 2 million on shorts and ive only made a couple. You need 3,000 on videos and I'm already over 1,000.
What about the shake and bake?
Ima have to find that one lmao
Not having Csus air raid with the son of one of the creators is a big miss in my opinion
Good call! Should've watched them more.
Can you do custom playbooks?
Yes
Can you go over other offenses??
Of course, anything in particular you want to see next?
@@DuceSenpai it’d be a cool series if you went through all the archetypes in the game, I know that’ll be more realistic once it’s out though. Really interested in the veer and shoot and how it differs from run and shoot
I love the veer shoot! I'll do that one next. Also of course once we get details on the skills i’ll drop a video on skills archetypes.
The Vols should be on that list with Heupel’s offense.
You know, I felt the same way, but I did a lot of digging and research because I love that offense, but Heupel insists that it's not an Air Raid, although they use some principles. The wide splits are a headache for defenses. There's also some veer and shoot in there.
It’s not Air Raid
They run a Veer and Shoot offense
As a Tennessee fan, I disagree. Coach Hype has made it clear they are run first and a lot of the concepts aren't Air Raid if you look at them.
Bout to cook with these😂
50ppg! Light em up!
I'm so excited for College Football 25, & I'll probably be saving up some money for that.
@@charlesridley3214 subscribe and comment “Notice me” on this video and you're entered in my giveaway. Just saying lol but only sub if you really want to.
Notice Me Saepai!!
Locked in my boy!
Notice me. Colorado’s offense.
Hi DuceSenai
Locked In!
Notice me Senpai
Locked in! 🙌🏽
You should have done a bit more research on the offense west coast is the complete opposite of air raid
Not necessarily. Some teams run the Air raid offense with West Coast principles. The Air Raid has some foundations from the West Coast. Some teams use vertical schemes and attack downfield, while others work short and intermediate concepts but are still pass-heavy. Thank you for the support!
Notice me senpai
Locked in! 💪🏽
Go cougs
