- Travelling long distances in Minecraft doesn't have to be a painful experience, there are some methods that make it incredibly fast! But what is the fastest? This video will tell you!
NETHER LOGIC!
For every block that a player travels in the Nether, they travel 8 blocks in the over world.
So if you have a nether portal at 0,0 in the overworld, and another nether portal at 0, 800; then to connect them up in the nether you would have one at 0,0 and another at 0,100.. Meaning you have travelled 800 over world blocks by going 100 blocks in the nether! Hope this makes sense!

I remember in a way older version of minecraft we would strip mine huge tunnels and we place down a set of unpowered minecart rails that used a "booster" system. There was a glitch where if a moving minecart passed by a stationary one on an adjacent track, they would both be launched forward at maximum speed. So you just needed one long track to travel on and some smaller adjacent track sections spaced out every so often, and you would just make a small incline so the minecart on the adjacent track could reset itself after it got launched as you passed by.
It was great! So much fun. You would end up traveling so fast, the chunks wouldn't be able to load quick enough. Me and my friends made "train stations" and lava-lit the entire length of track (this was also back when you could easily dupe lava) to prevent mob spawns. One of my fondest memories of playing this game. I was sad when they fixed that minecart glitch. The powered rails are just not the same. The boat on ice from the video reminds me of about how fast those carts could get.

Guys! You don't need it to be raining at all. If you activate your elytra before falling into an ocean (don't touch the bottom), you spam the trident after gaining dolphins grace for a massive boost, that can propel you a couple hundred blocks in the air. You are basically only limited by how fast you can load new chunks
The time it takes to teleport won't change regardless of the distance :)) so you can teleport to far places and maintain 25 secs travel time

One of the fastest ways to travel in Minecraft is giving yourself speed 255. You run so fast the chunk loader can’t keep up.

The blue ice path in the Nether, it's make a speed of 30km/minute or if you preferred 1800km/h.
For all the Nether, you have forget to include enter and leave Nether loading in your calcul.
That's faster than the speed of sound!

I do like that you can AFK traveling on rails, which is especially valuable for long distances.
I also decided I don't love boat on an ice path because I'm not very good at maintaining my aim.
Would walls on each side help with the boat travel? It ups the price a bit, but maybe that would help.
@@kit_callie If anything it makes it worse, because you keep running into the walls. Very wide ice paths covered in buttons work better because you run into walls less often. (The buttons prevent spawning.)

What i like about the minecart method is more about it's flexability. You can design the railway so when the player gets to the end, they can "step out" more or less at their conveiniance. or force the player out of the cart. And the flexability of taking the player from basically point A to ponit B in most any mannor of ways as long as the rails are powered in some way. Also, i don't know how difficult farming gold is anymore, but you can do a railway system without much redstone because of the Lever, just leave it in the "on" positoin and the rails are powered literally by a block of stone and a stick. Do this in 6-7 rail intervals and you only need the redstone to make the rails themselves. What i would had liked to see is the "no power rail" system put to the test because that system is supposidly faster than powered rails but only works in the one direction (but let's be honest you have to have 2 rails for both directions regardless).
All you have to do is spawn a creeper in and summon lightning.
You'll instinctively run faster than if you used these methods

Dolphin’s grace could be useful if you have to go a distance too short to justify the added time of the nether portal animation, or too short to easily deal with portal syncing.

considering how you can do this infinitely as long as you keep eating, it's great.
one thing about elytra is that you can actually do what is called elytra hopping, requiring no rockets, and travel really fucking fast. and consumes almost no food. Basically get started (can use a rocket but not needed) by double jumping to start to fly. look down about 30-45 degrees, and right as you hit the ground, jump, it sends you up, and propelling forward faster than elytra travel normally. works AWESOME on the nether roof.

Is it just me or did the powered rails seem slow
I'm not sure but I think it's faster if you have normal rails between the powered ones
@@deffonotluke All powered rails is the fastest it can be. 8 blocks per second when you ignore the initial acceleration.
You can get some issues where when you have normal rails between, adding some extra will speed up the overall time as it means you slow down a bit more and are on the powered ones for longer, but that is still capped at 8 m/s.
The way to get more speed is having them run diagonally, as the 8 m/s is in each cardinal direction.
I remember from a MagmaMusen video that making the rails go up and down like some kind of rollercoaster marginally decreased the travel time, something like the difference of .2 seconds

but horses are so cute and fast, especially if you find a good one ;-;
there's also an added bonus of not having to craft anything and being able to explore new places easier
if you put buttons on blue ice with a boat [besides the first one] you will go way faster and accelerate really quickly

It’s ridiculously fast.
You can also add more speed by using riptide alongside that and you’re basically gonna cover thousands of blocks in seconds
