Ok

Sorry to be so offtopic but does anyone know a way to get back into an instagram account??
I somehow lost my password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me!
Dude I love your videos, seriously, i can't even express how much they cheer me up and make me feel nostalgic, on top of the fact that you end up suggesting some of the most interesting oldschool games that i've always wanted to play (but never knew existed) but have been searching for my whole life. I wish i was able to play these games when i was a kid. I always knew there were better games out there but never could find them. Thank you, i can't get enough of these kind of games!
Thank you for watching, I really appreciate it
I second this
Goemon 2, 3 and 4 + a retranslation of 1 was the absolute highlight of 2020 to me.
Thank you so much DDS Translation!
Sometimes I think I watch all these vids just to see how they're gonna say "snes drunk"
Me too
I laugh every time.
Then hopefully you watched the "Is Race Drivin' {SNES} worth playing today?" video.
I watched the whole thing, liked it and am eagerly anticipating the sequel video 🤣
Haha same
That’s why EXACTLY why I started watching lol
Seiken densetsu 3 has been released a week ago on collection of mana for the Switch and will be a remake next year, cant wait for it
I've already played through it twice lol fucking amazing game, one of the best ever
@@pgai824 mmm i wonder if they will do the same for FF VI and V or the NES /SNES DQ Series with a 2d to 3d conversion. DQ XI S is a 2d like venison if you hated the 3d version. Good to have variety for the old school gamers as im used to both.
I'd love to hear more about the Satellaview if there's much more to be said about it. It sounds weird and inconvenient and fascinating.
brinstar gardening society Ever hear of the SEGA channel? Same concept except it used cable lines to send data where as the BS used satellites.
Sega channel was interesting, but it was always available, you just had weeks or months for availability of certain games. Satelaview was a channel for a satellite subscription service, and they broadcast news, stocks,... think the stuff that the wii menu had, but before the internet was a common or fast thing.
Basically Nintendo was trying to combine gaming with satellite TV. Because of how the technology worked the service was unavailable outside of Japan - even if you somehow got the hardware, the broadcast wouldn't have reached you outside of Japan. Also once they stopped broadcasting the entire hardware was renderred useless and you could play any game only during its broadcast times. It was an interesting idea, but had too many downsides to really work and today the internet is just doing everything the Satellaview did, just better and without forcing you to use an SNES and an attachment, that cost about as much as the actual console.
I want to play Bull Shit Zelda
@@shawnlittle346 I want to play bull shit fuck zero
Just found your channel today, and it looks like I have over a 1,000+ videos to dive into, don't know why I was never recommend your channel before, glad to have found it! Have a great day everyone.
Awesome video as usual.
Shubibinman Zero, originally a Satellaview game, recently got a Super Famicom physical release thanks to Columbus Circle. It's a sequel to Shock Man on the Turbo Grafx-16 and it's pretty damn good.
Thanks, I did not know that was a sequel to anything
Yep, Shock Man was the second game in the series and the only one to be released outside of Japan, probably because it's so similar to Mega Man. Zero is the fourth game in the series if I'm not mistaken.
For some reason CZcams put you on my front page with some video about "Is ****** good to play today?" and I opened your channel, looked around for something interesting, and tried this video first. I am now subscribed. I've been emulating games on my phone recently and you're exactly what I'm looking for. I didn't even know these games existed. THANKS!
Every time I watch a video from you it feels like I just got out of a doctor's office, but it's the type where I want to keep coming back for more.
I really like Radical Dreamers, it's really interesting and when I first played it a few years ago, I hadn't seen anything like it before.
Which then became the basis of Chrono Cross.
It was a very odd game, but it also was quite fascinating. Played it more than a decade ago, and I strangely remember that it was quite enjoyable to play at night.
Always love waking up and seeing a new video out!
I think youtube does work again. The second awesome channel today in the recommended list. Great videos, the best part is that I now have tons of new games to search for and play on the original consoles. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for watching
I haven't played BS Zelda yet, but I highly recommend Ancient Stone Tablets to any ALTTP fans. The time actually gives it a Majoras Mask type feel where you are challenged to find as many items and finish the dungeon within a time limit. It's a really fun game that has much of the same appeal, but just compacted into a smaller space.
Even today I watch max gaming videos about SNES , its hands-down best video game console ever
There are some real gems in this list! Thanks for your videos, SNESdrunk...you have turned me on to a lot of SNES titles that completely slipped by me all these years.
And in case anybody here didnt already know, Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen and Let us Cling Together were both references to the music of Queen.
I was thinking the sane!
Good stuff here! Really digging this channel. You're a fellow Minnesotan? FYI, 3:07 Super Bomberman 4 and 5 both support glorious FIVE player simul battle mode. You can set up any combination of Player or AI, solo or tag team, that adds to any number of players ranging from 2 to 5. This series was the first SFC carts I ever bought. S.B.5 is the fourth most played game in my entire gaming library, since it is excellent for parties where some people are veteran gamers and some have never touched a D-pad.
Born and raised in St Paul, now living in Albuquerque
1:37 How long did you have to practice saying that? Lol. That's one hell of a game title.
White Midwestern Guy uses "Poor Enunciation Skills!" It's super effective!
It’s not really that complicated when you know what you are looking at but, yeah, Japanese game titles are long. I’m always impressed by how well SNES DRUNK pronounces them though.
I thought he was either having a stroke or was speaking in tongues..
LOLOL

i been binge watching your videos since the crazy youtube algorithm show me your channel. nice job dude!
So cool! Great job with this video! :)
For those interested, the Goemon games recently received English translations as of 2021.
The Legend of the Mysical Ninja! You have no idea how long I was trying to figure out what the name of it was. I was a kid and a friend brought over one time, I remember it being very Japanese looking and suddenly turning into a ghost town. I've been looking for years. I started to think I just remembered wrong because I was so young, or that I had dreamed it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
It seems very misleading to say that Tactics Ogre "takes everything that March of the Black Queen did and makes it better" considering that they are different subgenres! March of the Black Queen revolves directing squads of units around on a map, and when they encounter an enemy there is a short auto-battle. Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together is an isometric strategy RPG where the player commands every action. Great video as always! Thanks for exposing us to so much cool stuff.
Whenever I see co-op side-scrolling games, it makes me want see more of that genre.
Quality content. Loving this.
Strange, I remember having all 5 Bomberman games in Brazil, and even though they were all in japanese, they still worked just fine on my north american SNES. In fact, Super Bomberman 5 is extremely popular here, one of the most famous SNES games, along with Zelda and Top Gear.
looking forward to checking some of these out :) thank you again @snesdrunk
I think the aspect about the Satellaview games that is most worth mentioning is that while the broadcast played, there would be additional sound from the broadcast as well. With the Ancient Stone Tablets, the sage would mention things like magical effects that were about to happen, just before they occurred in the game.
Depending on what ROM you play, you could have all kinds of weird things happen without any proper context.
I just found this channel can't stop watching
Those Mystical Ninja sequels look amazing! I would have shit myself if I saw that back in the day. Could you feature those?
Translations of 2 and 3 have been released.
Lol, "BS F-Zero Grand Prix," I laughed my ass off at the title.
1:37 is from now on my ringtone
Yes! This is the video I was hoping for.
Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen, let us cling together you play on the seven seas of Rhye to deliver the master stoke to the fairy feller in the magical land of nevermore.
Guest appearances Freddie Mercury, Roger Taylor and Brian May
Look up "Radical Dreamers" the Satellaview sequel to Chrono Trigger that was eventually reworked into the story for Chrono Cross.
I have, it's much more of a visual novel than a game though
@@SNESdrunk Yeah I played it and chrono cross. To me if your into sci-fi/religion symbolism and need a watered down version of the xenoworks perfect bible game series then that game is a good start for the young people getting a taste of science-fiction/religion combination as xenogears is really dark in its storyline where you can become a god or kill god off.
@@SNESdrunk but it is still a Forgotten Sequel and u miss this :(
No idea how I hadn't heard about Super Bonk 2, thanks!
Paladin's Quest's magic leveling was a completely new concept to me when I was a kid and loved the game for it.
My parents rented legend of the mystical ninja for me when I was 7. My friend and I played it non stop for days. I could never remember the name after that but I loved that game.
Love your work. I do want to try that fzero bs
Thank you for watching
The way you rattled off that goemon title so nonchalantly... impressive... great channel
thank you !
very interesting ! never heard about those one....
I have never heard of a satellaview (or however you spell it) game before watching this. Do you think you'd do a video focused on those? They sound super interesting and bizarre x)
"And a halfway decent story."
* Cleavage appears on screen *
"If this looks interesting to you, go check it out."
uh huh......
I need to get round to buying an everdrive to play these satellaview games! Also it'd be handy for the games with English patches.
Fun fact; since you've released this video, I think just about all the Ganbare Goemon games for the SFC/SNES have received translation patches.
You are the first English speaker i have heard say Puyo Puyo. I'm happy to hear someone say it.
You'll be glad to know that they released Seiken Densetsu 3 on the Nintendo Switch as well as a remake in 3D called Trials of Mana.
I have both of those Zelda games on physical cartridge thanks to the gaming community. Both were a blast to play on my original SNES and were very nostalgic for me. Really the only shame was the lengths of the games but overall, it was enough to satisfy me.
I really gotta try that Doremi Fantasy game :) haha Zelda popped into my mind seeing that at first glimpse................ Bonk I could never get into, Ill try the 2nd one :)
great video btw
The 3 Ganbare Goemon games all have English patches now. They were completed in 2021.
A really good game that fits in this category is Mega Man & Bass, never released outside of Japan. There's a GBA port, though. I'm pretty sure you haven't talked about this game in any of your videos yet. Personally as a Mega Man fan, I think this is my favourite of the franchise. It's hard as shit, it has huge levels and awesome pixel art, you can play as Mega Man and Bass, the arsenal of weapons is really sweet (the very best in my opinion with 2 and 3) and there's tons of replay value (you can collect 100 discs with intel about past Mega Man characters which are really, really hard to get).
Recently, a new Mega Man collection was released but it didn't feature this one. Criminal!
Good call but I always saw that game as kind of its own thing. It'll probably be its own video someday, especially since it came out in friggin 1998, wayyy late for a SFC game
1:31 It's Impact :D He had a super awesome intro song on N64, should check it out.
"Ancient Stone Tablets?" Lol what's next - "Bunch of Freaking Rocks?"
The Legend Of Zelda: Some Pebbles Or Something I Guess
The Legend of Zelda: The Lampshade of No Real Significance
The Legend of Zelda: Tiles of Melamine
I would love to see a SNESDrunk video about Satellaview games
I´ve played Seiken Densetsu 3 twice and I dont mind playing once more...great game!
I'm back again, wanted to leave a video suggestion if that's ok?
You've been branching out lately, would be really cool to see your thoughts on sonic mania (get some of that sweet nintendo switch hype)
Or just shin megami games get their own episode, instead of in the compilation.
Thanks for the content!
You should totally open the can of worms for the Satellaview and do an episode for it :)
Update: Now all the Ganbare Goemon games on the SNES have english translation! You can download at romhacking.net
OH lord of the CZcams algorithm, thank you for recommending me this video NOW. And thank you, wonderful fan-translators of the Ganbare Goemon-games! 🥰
@@JayDeeIsMyName Yeah! Finally!
Hey Drunk, have you ever played Genocide 2 and Undercover Cops for Super Famicom? Maybe they are good choices for future videos.
It’s so funny when you made this there wasn’t even an English patch for the Goemon games yet 😂😂😂
Hey, seeing the vid 2 years after it was posted, you excited about the remake and re-release of Seiken Densetsu 3? I sure as heck am!
Satellaview games had live commentary from famous actors in Japan who gave players advice how to advance in the dungeons.
yes, please do more Satella View stuff. Don't forget Radical Dreamers!!
SNES Drunk, may I make a suggestion? Maybe a video on the absolute best Satellaview games?
Thanks man!
Honestly I'd love to see a top ten satellaview only games video.
Tetris Battle Gaiden deserves its own video!! One of the best games the SNES has.
Yeah it's on the list, I really love that game
keep up the great work! and play secret of mana w friends!
Famicoms had so many interesting add ons i never heard of!
@snesdrunk is that Jinx From SMRPG at @1:38
Sir, you are my new hero.
It’s funny how in the US for Super Nintendo we got Tetris and Dr. Mario and Tetris 2 which is basically what happens when you directly have an offspring of Tetris and Dr. Mario.
I wish I could find this in one file to make it look all cleaned up on my list. I have this but it's four different files. I wonder if someone has a complete version.
There's more to BS Zelda, fans have made awesome recreation with voice acting in english based on old recordings from japan of people taping themselves playing the game(s). There are a couple of versions of Ancient stone tablets and one of them I'm pretty sure has the time taken out of the picture and some other tweaks! The BS Zelda fan site has done some major work for the community :)
ifeelnothing What is the fansite? Can you share it here in the comments?
Since you mentioned Do-Re-Mi Fantasy (a sequel to an NES game), I feel like I need to mention the various Kunio/Nekketsu games on the SFC! There's a Super Dodgeball follow-up and two River City Ransom follow-ups. I did a video on my channel about a year ago on Shin Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-Kun: Tachi no Banka, if that interests you: czcams.com/video/9_PRliLsBJ8/video.html
Cool video, and nice series from what I've seen so far! I also only recently learnt that River City Ransom is only one game in a rather large series, so that's really informative :)
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
On the Stick I always wondered if there was a river city ransom sequel
There are several!
I love the Internet! I had no idea about any of these games. When I was a kid all I knew is what I saw in the store. Most of the game I had were hand me downs. Couldn’t afford much. Thank you for the video!
There is even an online multiplayer network adapter for original SNES consoles in development:
www.romhacking.net/forum/index.php?topic=28578.0
I love your snes videos
We since got an official release of Seiken Densetsu 3 as Trials of Mana.
"...Forgotten sequels"
"...Tactics Ogre Let Us Cling Together"
*cries in Matsuno's Ogre Battle Saga
In the "mickey to donald" game the "to" is pronounced "toe" and in this case means "and".
i thought it was like Japanese lang that 'to' actually mean 'and'
Stares sayin you people are too predictable as I read the paper.
Ganbare Goemon Kirakira Douchuu: Boku ga Dancer ni Natta Wake... wtf. Guess I can check typing that off my bucket list.
You should do an all satellaview episode (guessing on the name)
1:36 ah, yes. that game. the title is so catchy.
What's the music playing at 1:00? It sounds so cool.
If you haven’t yet, consider doing a video on the Soul Blazer trilogy.
Tactics Ogre is awesome and was also made by the dudes who made Final fantasy tactics.Aeon genesis made a decent English patch for it and some of the other games here in the video.
Have you ever thought looking into the other two Castlevania games on the GBA?
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNES DRUNK .. Love u guys. Excelent Work.
The Ganbare Goemon series has been translated by DDSTranslation over on Romhacking just last year.
Super Adventure Island might have been a bog standard platformer, but it had one of the finest soundtracks to be found anywhere on the SNES. Yuzo Koshiro is a genius!
Blowing bubbles is such an underated superpower! Do you remember when Superman almost got killed in Superman 3!
Just imagine yourself suddenly trapped inside one. You would panic and shit your pants within 10 seconds.
Take it back! 🤝
There was a BS Fire Emblem game for the satelliview. I focused on a side story involving some of the side characters from the first/third game.
hey they could do that for 8k smartphones for live cable tv via starlink for raw 8k native cable tv feeds for your mobile cable box being your laptop and smartphone btw.
Oh snap, I played the English translation of Seiken Densetsu 3 years ago and completely forgot about it and was wondering why I could not find it when trying to remember good rpgs.
Brandish was actualy really good >:V Though i will admit its not for everyone for certain. But if you can stick with it long enough to get the hang of the controls and combat, it played really well.
Mystical Ninja is GREAT :)!!!! I enjoy the N64 games
Wait did Super Bomberman 4 stay in japan? Cause i have a copy of it and i played it a lot back in the 90s on my snes. I'm from Brazil so probably the last place you would expect finding a game that never left japan.
My copy of ancient stone tablets you can play as link or maron which is cool I got it off ebay for 25$ and came with a dope custom box thats just like original snes boxes
So I can go to romhacking And download English patch on sdcard for secret of mana 3 and use game on retron 5 ?
Correct
Wow... I had no idea that Satellaview existed!
I hate the fact I've just recently discovered this channel 😒.....but at least I have a ton of videos to watch
Thank you for stopping by! I really appreciate it
