I think Dubas probably keeps his job at the end of the year, although it might only be a short extension.
Keefe on the other hand has coached his way out the door in my opinion, all of his systems were easily solved in both rounds and yet he doesn't seem to make any adjustments, let alone have a real backup plan. The best example is the drop-pass focused breakout is getting torn apart by Florida, so what do we do? Ice the puck repeatedly while trying for low-percentage stretch passes... That's all we've got? REALLY?!
I agree with all of your complaints about Keefes coaching, but the issue with that is how closely related he and Dubas are. I don't think we will see Dubas sans Keefe for an extended period of time, which is unfortunate as Dubas really proved himself to be a capable GM this trade deadline.
So I was looking at coaches available if they let keefe go and the one that really stood out was Bruce Cassidy

Keefe is definitely done here. I'm not sure how many times he needs to see this same story play out before realising playoff hockey is different. As for the players, its just a shame our two very best guys can never elevate their game when it matters. That equals failure every time. Other teams have stars that explode in the playoffs, ours trip over themselves.
9 years of the Shanaplan and we're frankly no closer to winning anything.

1:21:00 The Montreal Canadiens did not improve their draft standing last year since they finished last, so they can still 'win' the lottery 2 more times in 5 years. The Devils, who picked second, (and now the Blackhawks) however are effected by the 5 year rule.
Impressive how quick it's been forgotten and forgiven that the Canadiens drafted Logan Mailloux in the first round in 2021. How are they not up there with Chicago as the worst team to reward right now?
Drafting a 17 year old who was convicted of defamation and “offensive photography” and paying a $1650 fine for sharing a partners nudes without her consent is a little bit different from an entire organization systematically covering up a coach raping a player for over half a decade. there’s a scale of bad and those two things are nowhere close.
There are dirty areas on the ice.....the Leafs top 6 have no interest in going to any of them.

Game 4 is not a do or die game. Game 3 was. Can they still do it? I believe they can. I believe in this team. But for the first time in my life, during the fifth game against Tampa, I said to my wife, "If they can't do this, I'm done. If they don't care about us enough to do this, then why should I care about them? If they don't win this series, I'll never watch another hockey game." And here we are. After round one was over, I thought, New York, Boston, Tampa, Colorado.... they're all gone.... all the Leafs roadblocks are gone. There is no way they don't win the Stanley Cup this year. And again, here we are. It's almost like they think winning the first round is enough for us. I said to someone today, they all collected their final paychecks the last week of the regular season. Maybe they don't like playing for free..... I love this team, but there isn't a single player that I love more than the team. They do not need a re-build. But something needs to be done. They grit and heart. They need a Doug Gilmour or a Wendell Clark. This summer, I would offer Auston Matthews for Matthew Tkachuk. I'd keep Marner because I believe if you put him on a line with two well trained chimpanzees, they'd both score, 30 goals. They'll never get value for Tavares, but I'd do what I could to get rid of his cap hit. And Murray is dead weight and I'd try to trade him for a 25 year old Giordano, if he even exists. This hockey club has done this before. Go Leafs.
The leafs were literally lucky against the lightning. Then the luck ran out
Played on decent at times but found ways. G2 played well and then that come back from 4-1 down. Otherwise was pretty much making their own luck and at least trying. Now they look like they can’t buy an ounce of work

I can not be the only person that see willy play hard when the game or path is easy. Any time he has resistance he pulls up or turns away. Rewatch when florida players drive the net around him he does nothing but lay down a welcome mat doesnt try to impede at all. WILLY ONLY PLAYS WHEN ITS EASY

They haven't a meaningful Playoff run since the early 90s.
But because they are upset that their team is underperforming and are a large vocal group they are vilified. They're fans. Plus no one criticizes their favorite team like Leaf fans.

So one thing about the Marner giveaway thing, the NHL apparently scores a turnover as a giveaway or a takeaway, not as both. So Marner’s giveaways must have been counted as panther’s takeaway’s. Make sense cuz the stats that get published come from the home arena scorekeeper.

As a Sharks fan, watching the current Leafs seems very similiar to when the Sharks were at their peak.
Negative or not, this fan base has been fairly positive to the point of delusion with their defense of Dubas and the Core until this point. You guys really hung in there with them and are a great fanbase.

It's not that Florida is a better team, it's the fact that the Leafs need to gell as one unit.
How are not better? Florida is faster. Florida has a better forecheck. Florida better defence. Florida has better goaltending. Florida has a better coach. Lets see Florida was a Presidents Trophy winner last year. Florida has a 2 time vezna trophy winner in net. Florida beat the best team in hockey history in the Bruns this year. In what universe is the Leafs better than Florida? Marner is soft in the playoffs. Mathews is one trick pony take away the scoring is nothing. The defence is old and slow. Goaltending is ok at best. Sheldon as a coach don't even know his own lines. I am so confused on why Leaf fans think they are so good. They really all round are meh at best.
