    We just arrive in Malaysia and we are invited by our Singaporean friend, Haim, to try the best Nasi Lemak in Johor Bahru for breakfast!
    So excited to be here, and try Nasi Lemak for the first time ever! This is our first experience and first reactions meeting Malaysian people and eating Malaysian food.
    This is our first time in Malaysia and we are going to be traveling and exploring Malayisa, eat Malayisian food, meet Malaysian people and explore the Malaysia culture and athe people living here in this beautiful South East Asian country.

    Malaysia, nice country, nice people 💖 the food looks delicious and energetic. I've been seen before that Michael don't like to waste food. it's a good character trait. too much rice make me sleepy too. now you need a strong tea or coffee.

    this tip for newbie to malaysia or south east asia hehe,, for easy enjoy malaysia food or mostly south east asia food use spoon to eat rather than fork that how malaysian use to it, because fork are to small to grab the food and enjoy it hehe happy try ya

    Micheal, you should try nasi lemak in every state. Different state has different taste bud so it will be different. Gigi cant handle the spiciness of the sambal...🤣🤣🤣...

    3:16 Yes "Teh O" means tea without milk. Likewise "Kopi O" means coffee without milk. Any beverage said with "O" means zero or no milk.
    Another useful tip to know is the level of sweetness. The default - nothing said - means sweet. "Kurang manis" means less sweet. "Kosong" (literally means nothing) indicates no sugar at all.
    Examples :
    1. Kopi - coffee with milk and sugar
    2. Kopi O - coffee with sugar but without milk
    3. Kopi O kosong - coffee without milk and without sugar
    4. Kopi O kurang manis - coffee without milk and with reduced sugar

    We prefer to eat nasi lemak for breakfast coz it's a simple dish. For lunch we eat lots more variety of dishes buffet style.

    You guys should use a spoon to eat rice and cut food, while a fork to pick up something like that cucumber. It's easier to use both of them 😁

    lemak has 2 meanings fat & creamy taste. many people literally just translate "nasi lemak" as "fatty rice" but it's more toward's "creamy rice" as coconut milk has creamy taste.

    You got it right for the 'tea O' (locally known as Teh O). Literally, 'O' refers to coffee, Milo (chocolate drink) without sweetened milk. Another point to ponder: the ordinarily looking stall could be a hot spot for food hunters.

    the term ''lemak'' can mean several thing.. it can mean fatty or creamy.. coconut milk is very high in fat//oil Hench its classified as lemak.. a milk shake is also very lemak.. i hope all Malaysian takes this into consideration when explaining to foreigner what lemak means..

    The only way to eat nasi lemak or rice dishes is to mix all or most of the ingredients in a single scoop , not eat the items separately.

    It may shock you guys of how heavy a breakfast can be in Malaysia😆 as you know, in the past Malaysia are agriculture country which most of the people are consist of farmer so they need food with high protein and carb for the energy because as you already know that Malaysia are a country with hot and humid weather so the energy consumption are no jokes so that's one of the reason why the breakfast are so heavy and now it become part of the customs😆

    That looks like Pokok Ceri Nasi Lemak, I was like this place looks so familiar and after looking for some time indeed it is. I've had Nasi Lemak here before and tbh this is the best Nasi Lemak I've had in Johor, especially the fried chicken is so yummy. Their lontong kering is very tasty too.

      By d way, nasi lemak is d Malaysian national dish. It has a very humble beginning, a food for d peasants, wrapped in banana leaf. Only after d 1980s, I start seeing more food vendors selling nasi lemak by d streets all around Malaysia. Nowadays, nasi lemak is more lavish, paired with d spicy fried chicken, or chicken/beef rendang, or other types of protein cooked in sambal, like seafood.

      If you can clarify that I have to arrival KLIA next month and I need avoid any problems that will face me

      @@kareemhasan6925 Yes, d nasi lemak is quite delicious. About your entry to Malaysia via KLIA, I'm not certain about d current requirements since 1 April when d international borders r opened for foreign tourists. My sejahtera application was widely used in d country during d previous lockdown, to control people's movement, their heath n vaccination status. If u r vaccinated, u can add this in my sejahtera. Previously, foreign tourists who had arrived before d 1 April need to be quarantined but not anymore. It's good that u check this out before your arrival to avoid d unnecessary situation. Maybe Dodo explorers can share their experience entering Malaysia from d border in Singapore.
