Q: WHATS THE LONGEST DRIVER SHOT YOU HAVE EVER HIT?
If you are NEW to my channel SMASH that subscribe button to stay connected!
Hey Rick, thanks for the advice. My longest drives are around 250-260. I recently read an article that the average drive distance for the casual golfer actually went down to around 218-220 yds so i am pretty happy with my current distance.
So far the longest has been 270 carry, I’ve been playing for a little over a year and your videos have helped tremendously, thank you for all of your videos :-)
335. slight down hill landing zone, hit a high bomb draw right up the center
Another great vid Rick. Think my longest ever was on the Par 5 10th at Roda Golf...2nd shot I hit a 9 iron onto the green. Slightly artificial though, hard fairway and it was blowing a hooley straight down the hole. ;-)
Yeaaaaa well... that’s a negative ghost rider.
After watching this video on Sunday I put it into practice at my club on Monday. By leaning back I achieved an average of 15/20 yards extra distance with 86.7% fairways hit. This meant that I was using shorter irons on 2nd shots which improved accuracy. Managed 38 stable ford points despite 41 putts. Too early to say if this one adjustment was fully responsible but in my mind it was. Thanks Rick!
Thanks Rick, you've totally changed my driving game. Set-up and prep is now allowing me to free up my mind a bit. I'm more of a feel player and this has helped me rein that in prior to stepping up to the ball.
Great content Rick, your videos have truly helped my golf game this season! Very clear instruction, and the different camera angles are very helpful.
I watch this video so often whenever I get confused with my driving. So good!
Thanks Rick for your videos. Simple and straight to the point. I picked up golfing as a quarantine hobby and love it. Your videos have helped me a lot in my learning process.
Great video Rick! I've been watching you for years, thanks for all the wonderful tips and reviews!
Another good vid Rick.
I'm glad you mentioned how important fitting is. To many of my mates just buy a drivers off shopping sites because the price is right for them, and then take them out on the course, only to end up 2 months later with another one as there's always a problem with the one they had .. shaft whips to much / lofts to low and can't get the ball in the air. The only good thing is the charity shops does well out of them, amount of time they take there clubs in.....
Great tips Rick! I can’t wait to use these tips. I will follow up with results
Now i can get far over that 300 mark ..
I struggled with my club head speed ... but this video will surely help a lot !!!!
Thanks for awesome video rick
Great video Rick, I struggle with my driver big time and can usually hit my 3 wood around the same distance. Lesson is needed!
Great video! My longest was 268 downhill. I got fitted for the new Rouge and added 15 yards to my average drive. 👍⛳
Back into Golf the past 6 months. Was down at c4HC and a lot younger, lots of great content, helping on the range and course. Top man, most enjoyable
Rick...i am 50 years old and just started playing golf last year after a significant back surgery....watching your videos has helped me more than you can imagine. Thank you for touching on everything a new golfer needs to know to increase the chances of having fun. Truly appreciated, thank you!
Thanks for the videos Rick, straight to the point and on the money with the information.
The upper body tilt worked almost immediately, thank you Rick!
nice video Rick, keep up with the good content
Great tips. Cant wait to start practicing them.. Keep it up Rick.
Your videos on driver have helped me tremendously! In watching this one I realize the one thing I haven't done yet is go get some foot spray and determine where I am hitting the ball on the club face. I definitely know when I hit the sweet spot, but when I don't I am not sure why - standing to close - too far. Hitting down instead of up, etc... Thanks for these great videos!
Great video Rick! Love the tips and tricks keep it up!!
Love these! 👌🏽
305 yards dead straight a few months back. With the way I’ve been swinging lately it probably won’t happen again for a while!
This should help heaps. Thanks for making awsome videos 👍👌🏻
Cheers Rick. Yet another vid that can really help us minions. Keep up the good work fella
284 yards with a nice draw through a tree. Landed 15 yards from the green on a par 4, I was ecstatic!
Cleared a driving range net at 240 yards out. Decent height net too, I'd guess 16ft high. (240 yards measured from google maps)
Great tips as always Rick
Keep up the great work Rick !
Loved the video - very straight forward.
GREAT VID RICK!!!!!
I love having a PGA Pro instructor for free. Love your videos Rick.
Best pro on the tube..tips are simple and explained well..easy to follow
Great Video Thanks Rick.
Great video Rick! Thank you
After using most of this video's tips, leaning back, teeing the ball tiny bit higher, and the wider stands, I went from 230/240 to a 270/280 avg. Today I played my home course, and I landed in new places for me. Thank you
Cracking pro with no bs! Love it and subscribed
Very informative Rick Thank you
Great Video Rick!
your videos have helped me greatly thank you!
Rick great video. I’m a 6 marker who’s major opportunity in my game is lack of distance. Can’t wait to get on the course and utilise your tips. Thanks.
Great vid Rick!!!! 👍 that helped a lot.
This will help me. Continue the great videos.
Great tips! Thanks
Love all the videos done by Rick...and Pete. 301 best ever drive
Well done Rick!! Love your videos!! I’d love to see more club comparisons! But I its more interesting when you compare different brands on the same video!
When if your review on the new Bridgestone BTour XS coming?
Great video rick!
Thanks for the tips. Great video
Can you make a video about how we should move our whole body in our swing to get to most efficient power in the shot also the correct movement we should have in our hips and what should move first within the down swing(club head, shoulders or hips). thanks alot, great work as always👌
Great tips, thanks
really helping my driver swing. going to my range this week going to try break 300
Your guide to the driver has completely changed my golf game…I’m hitting it straighter and further than ever
Cheers man. Great vid
Great vid Rick
Thanks Rick ! Time for quality time at the range ! 🏌️
i have been trying to fix my drive for some time now and finally figured out how to keep it straight. It was explained to me as throwing a bucket of water. I really need to get clubs that fit me though, im using 30 year old short clubs
Great video, Rick !
great video Rick
Love your tips and vids!
Great video Rick. Really need these tips as I’ve struggled with my driver over the last year and it’s absolutely killing my scores. Some of these tips I’ve already known and been able to implement. Others I know but can’t implement as easily. Any tips you can provide for someone who has a tendency to over extend their backswing?
Longest drive is 300+ thanks to firm fairways on a downhill lie. Average is about 240-250 carry with 260+ finish.
Love the vid rick!
Outstanding channel Rick Outstanding
Cheers rick will give it a go!
Found a video on how to sort your slice out, 100 balls later at the driving range and I’m now hitting left! (The grip on the club was by far the game changer) great channel, love the content! Working on getting the drive straight now, went from shooting an average of 25 over to 20 over just by getting rid of my OOB on my drive!
Oh and also I’m fairly sure I caught that one perfect drive that went about 280!!
Great video!
Great video rick
GREAT video rick !!!!!!
Great as usual !!
Love the videos! My longest drive was around 310m
very good helped me alot.
300mt - once in New Zealand - 20 years ago tho, not even close now
cheers keep up the videos excellent
Just joined Formby Hall today. My problem is distance and your Video has solved my problem. Many Thanks
Great video Rickshaw
Like many have said prior to, it's the driver that makes the car go fast. I've got a decent, grooved swing. However, due to long winters here in Canada coupled with health concerns, I don't get the repetitions in to make my swing truly trustworthy. My swing is fairly neutral so when I hooked two consecutive drives and then shoved one way right (just the other day), I have to keep my head and not panic. The next one was right down the middle, 294 with a tiny little draw. When I was years younger, the stars aligned and I knocked one 343. That one was measured by the course staff so I'm sure it was correct. Thanks, Rick, for these great tips. I would add that you might stress a bit more that range/course work will reinforce muscle memory so that they can know where contact is made on the club face.
Great tips
Followed the tips in this video and it was the first time I carried the ball 250+ consistently. Thanks Rick.
Great info
Good stuff Rick, circa 280 with a hard fairway. I average between 200 & 210 hit most fairways though. Got fitted a few years ago it changed everything! Lee Porter at Hylands top man!
220, and that’s with a generous downhill roll😂
Bob Murphy and that will do nicely 😊👍🏻
Its all good, I used to hit it 230 on a good day, but the last 2 years, my driver distance is 270-280 on a good day
Love this
Enjoyed this style of video!
Setup was most useful.
Great vid! Fitting Fitting
I will try this tomorrow thanks
A week ago at age 45 and just starting to play again after taking 15 yrs off, with your tips on removing slice drives, 355yds on a flat straight par 5. Carried about 310-320...soft 8 iron to the green. Longest carry was 340 at the age of 29. It was a wet day and it actually plugged on the landing right next to the 150 yd stick on a slight down hill 490yd par 4. Both shots were with Srixon soft feel balls
First tips I have used a lot and tee ball up it's goes boom
Always love your tips Rick thanks 😊 In this video you spoke briefly about transfer of weight in follow through swing to get club head moving quicker but you didn't say much on how best to transfer weight. Is it with shoulders, hip rotation, finishing position or combination 🤔
super video, explain very well!
You're the man Rick!!
v nice vedio and instructions. Thanks
Thank you Coach
Great Video for beginners Rick. Another thing novices fail to do is having knee flex throughout the backswing and follow through, they tend to stand up on their heels through impact...
Love your stuff Rick! Please answer a few questions. 1. If a higher launch angle is desired why tilt your body to hit up with a 9-10.5 degree driver instead of swinging level using a 12 degree driver? 2. Hitting tape on the driver face shows my strike location varies in a straight line from low heel to high toe. The harder I swing the more variation in strike location I get. Any drills to help strike the center more consistently? 3. Too often hitting harder just means the ball flies 20 yards further into the rough, bushes, water, etc. I would gladly give up 20 yards to be on the fairway consistently. Your anti-slice videos are helping but I think I need more details about the following topics. What is the difference between keeping the lead arm straight versus bending the elbow in the back swing? In the back swing the wrists bend to create lag; at what part of the down swing should they unbend. How close to the body should the trail elbow be during the downswing. When I start my down swing and rotate my hips my shoulders also tend to rotate causing me to swing out to in resulting in a slice. What are the shoulders supposed to do and what are drills to help me fix my down swing?
Great vid
Great video
Great job mate
Muy bueno los videos!!
Can you please do a video comparing driver and iron swings. Keep up the good work!
About 30 years ago, I hit one 360 and never came close to that again. (I’d be happy with 260 these days.) It was flat, no wind, but the Arizona summer had the fairways rock hard. I got a great kick off the back slope of a bunker and a lot of roll.
Good summary.
Thanks Rick
Fixed my angle of attack and helped tremendously
