Sate Maranggi at Purwakarta is different style than in Cipanas.. Both are delicious depends on your taste. But the location that you visited in Puncak is not the original location which is in Cipanas... 😀
Depends bro, at purwakarta if you eat at hj yeti, it's more expensive, 5k each, so for 10 it's gonna be 50k, i recommend sate maranggi pareang
Actually the best sate maranggi in Puncak is located in Cipanas. It's not too far from roti unyil shop

Fun fact: why is it called "Roti Unyil", because "unyil" means small. so, "Roti Unyil" is a small-sized bread basically 😁

4:43 .. the oncom is actually for the ketan bakar.. the sate maranggi usually served with pickle like sauces, a mixtures of sliced cucumber, tomatto, shallot, chilli, and soy sauce/kecap manis..

But my Dutch friend had tried it, n according to him the klappertaart in Bogor way better n tastier than klappertaart in Netherlands.

Tertarik mencoba Sate Maranggi di sini karena letaknya di dekat hotel tempatku menginap. Tempatnya tidak ber-AC, namun luas dan beneran adem pas sore. Oh ya, di sini juga ada teh tawar gratis. Menu yang dijual nggak cuma sate sapi Maranggi namun juga ada sate ayam & sate kambing. Selain itu juga ada sop & gorengan. Sate Sapi Maranggi nggak kalah enak. Potongannya pas, nggak terlalu besar maupun terlalu kecil. Sapinya empuk & bumbunya super meresap. Gorengan ×. Tahu. Tahunya menggunakan tahu kuning dibalur tepung yang renyah. Tahunya pakai kunyit dan super lembut, mungkin pakai tahu susu kuning. Tepungnya renyah dan rasanya gurih meski dimakan begitu saja. Gorengannya pun nggak oily. ×. Tempe, Tempenya dibalur tepung yang renyah. Potongan tempenya cukup tebal dan terasa kedelainya.

People coming at the weekend usually from Jakarta just have some refreshment /healing after of his crazy job..
Come with family spent 1-2 night and back to Jakarta / the reguler job.
Many spot that its worth to see in puncak ..the country side or rent some Villas enjoy the vibe of puncak adventure explore more deeper..tea plantation hot spring the road the air the view the food the local ... Perfect spot event just for refreshment of the stressful.

Bogor and Bandung have many various great and tasty foods actually, and it depends on the right place to buy it, because of different taste at different stores, like Asinan Bogor, Laksa, Batagor, etc. Btw, that sate was burned/over grilled. Lol... Susan its awkward for eating new food without asking how to eat it, that kacang, red color, we called it kacang Mlinjo, wichis bitter flavour in the peanuts kingdom... Usually that Mlinjo will serve for chips, or cook it like that u eat... The chips called kripik mlinjo, or emping mlinjo, or just emping (central java usually called it like that, its taste bitter but addicted to eat it more)... And also that Mlinjo have 2 skins, outer skin is the soft skin, and inside is hard skin, we need to crack the hard skin also, so if u eat it, whole think, wth is going on :v hhhh and maybe you need to try the chips from that Mlinjo... Ok love you guys...

Because of this seasoning process, Sate Maranggi is served without any accompanying sauce. The marinade itself is made from a mixture of sweet soy sauce and several types of spices, such as ginger, coriander, galangal, turmeric, with a little vinegar to give it a slightly sour taste, you can use rice vinegar (vinegar made from palm sugar), or other types of vinegar. U can trying another food street on jln suryakencana, many choice .....

oncom is pretty healthy though, lot of fiber, calcium and protein.....the unusual smell in oncom came from fermentation
