I’m bogor citizen, i can give you a perfect recommendation for streetfood. You guys should visit Jalan Suryakencana, on 4 p.m various streetfood stall will come out. Suryakencana is chinatown of Bogor, and there is OG and many legend restaurant there. Martabak Afo, Soto Kuning Bogor Pak Salam and others! You should taste ngohiang too. Surken is a must! 🤣🔥

Ketoprak is a vegetarian dish originally from Jakarta, consisting of vegetables, tofu, rice cake, rice vermicelli served in peanut sauce.
My family really love spicy food. So my mom was always added a lot of chili mixed to the peanut sauce.
Oh also I recommend Kluwih restaurant in Bogor. They served Sundanese culinary. I'm not Sundanese, but I love Sundanese culinary. One of my favorite menu is Nasi Kecombrang. Their veggies soup (sayur Asem) also the best. You gonna love it.

If you want to see authentic floating market, come to visit my hometown in South Kalimantan. And Kalimantan is also home of Bekantan( Long-nosed monkey / Proboscis monkey ), if you are lucky you can see them in the bekantan and mangrove conservation park, because they are so shy. It is located 1 km from the city center of Tarakan in the province of North Kalimantan. Keep traveling and eat delicious food!!! If China's border open, I definitely will go back to travel in Indonesia. I MISS INDONESIAN FOOD haha

You should go to Gunung Halimun Salak at West Bogor. It's waterfall heaven. Like so many waterfalls there. Because of so many waterfalls, for photography purpose i recommend Balong Endah falls. I also love the left side from the parking lot (i forgot the name, probably Lembah Tepus but I'm not sure, the right side is the entrance of almost all of the waterfalls) it's some kind of river with the cleanest water compared to other waterfalls and less touristy as well. Make sure to bring a lot of 5000/1000 rupiah because each waterfall has entrance ticket price lol
PS: the road to the waterfalls is a bit bumpy. And one day trip is not enough to explore all of the waterfalls.

The food you are eating, soto mie, ketoprak, they are sold in street food carts all over Bogor for much cheaper price. Ah poong is known for their expensive price at least for me, a broke college student lmao. It's located in sentul which is like a high class residential area in Bogor. Did you know there are more than 170 kind of Soto in Indonesia? Sotos are available in many town / region / province from Aceh until West Papua, with they typical and characteristic taste in every town / region / province. Btw why soup or soto in Indonesia a little bit salty? Coz they eat with rice. The salty taste will decrease and to be normal when you eat them with rice. If the salty taste is normal when it served, then when mixed with rice, the salty taste will disappear and the taste will become bland. Btw you MUST try Tongseng, kinda like soto, the taste is amazing.

I am kinda stoked that you love the ketoprak more than anything you ate there. Personally, it is the only Betawinese food that I love so much. :)

Konro is makassar food. For me, the best konro is in Kelapa Gading. Same area with wiro sableng restaurant. It's at the corner. When you enter Kelapa Gading, after you passed the mall, look for big konro sign at the left. Sometimes, I just visited there, and sitting alone with both hands at this big bone full of hanging meat, like a kid holding his candy at both hands or like a happy dog scraping his bone clean.
