Rather, it would break the game. On my st. Trina's torch run I already had crazy damage numbers. I remember taking out 70% of Melania's hp in a hit, that's not even counting the sleep. If you could powerstance, the game might crash from trying to even calculate it.

It's really sweet how he made those jump cuts in Ordina and Regal Ancestor Spirit because of that one commenter who liked them.
If you're curious about why some characters are so huge in Elden Ring like the people in chat at 31:36, the lore reason (according to the Giant Crusher Greathammer) is that people just used to be huge, and they got smaller with each generation after Godfrey beat the Giants
Which is similar to some real world mythology about giants. Some people were just really big.
Also just better design for bosses to be bigger, Bushy made a video where each vig level increases size, and it's hilarious how less intimidating the bosses were

Remember the times when you spend literally hours trying to learn Radahns move sets, but then started watching bushyy’s videos and every since then he has been one of the least intimidating big bosses?

Yeah, it’s a common fromsoft L that they put way more effort into the true bosses as opposed to midbosses, which ironically makes the main bosses easier because they actually telegraph their attacks properly

If you're used to 5-10k buffed up attacks, it's garbage. But if you're fresh out of a no weapon upgrades run, it's amazing.

i miss your old colorful background. The sound panels are nice but some colorful lights like you had before would add a lot! also, moongrum is the most hilarious part of all the runs hahahhaha gets me every time
its a new home, not set up yet, only had just completed building the house, so things not installed in the rooms
the editing in this video was great, nice cuts and feels like we always get just the right amount of time with each boss.

You know, they really could've let torches riposte. The animation could've been sticking the flame to an enemy and burning them for a sec. Would've been sick af in my opinion.
It's not like they don't have a torch repose animation, the followers torch in ds3 can, so that makes it even weirder NONE of the ER torches do

BTW, Fire Breathing on the Steelwire Torch is actually pretty good. It can get up to 3 hits in, leaves flames on the ground that do a decent d.o.t. as well as being a great way to mess up airborne opponents. I was starting a Torch run of my own and tried the steel wire against leonine misbegotten. It basically stun-locks him because he tries to do a jump attack, and it fores him to go to the ground.

Torches only was honestly my favorite Elden Ring challenge run, I’m glad you enjoyed it too
Challenge idea every time you kill a boss you have to spin a wheel, and on yhat wheel will be letters, (every letter that is the starting letter of a weapon armour ect) and you have to use those items for the next boss until you change again. Example if u got "s" u can use star fists and scaled armour but there r other letters that could have hardly any good stuff. Also this letter applies to incantations and anything that starts with the letter so u can use talismans with the wrong letter or spells with the wrong letter. Too long ik sorry. This hasnt been checked if its a difficult challenge but if anyone has improvements to this challenge ill be happy to hear them. Extra idea u need a mod for this but all your damage has a 50% chance to do damage and a 50% chance to heal for the same amount it would usually hurt.

I tried this run a month ago, reached consecrated snowfield, killed Mohg, gave up when I reached Malenia. I didn't even wanna think about fighting Gideon with that setup.
Edit: I noticed something, that I had shot myself in the foot with - The steel wire torch technically scales with dexterity. So I leveled that stat a bunch. And the returns were minimal. Same for the INT and Faith, when I was building for the Ghostflame and St Trina. I ended up having a very badly spread out character, that couldn't do shit. You have inspired me to try this torture again.
Update: About 2 days later, I have now managed to beat the game with just a torch. While, admittedly, I never got Malenia past half health in phase 2, I managed to get through Gideon. The rest of the bosses were a cakewalk compared to them. Unlike Bushy, I kept using the steel wire torch, because I like the fiery aesthetic. Not much of a difference, because the lack of status buildup is made up for in better damage overall.

Could you make a guide on how to do challenge runs? Like maybe just a base thing on when/where to collect golden seeds and what order to do the bosses n stuff. I like doing runs with funny builds but I always get lost and I don’t really wanna explore single corner every time like my first play through lol. I always end up 40 hours in to a funny build run cuz I have no idea where im going lol

@bushy I have an idea for an unconquered challenge and I think you might be good enough to do it.
Clear the entire map.
It could be done with either one rest or if you’re a true baller no rest. There’s plenty of life steal in the game and with the mechanic of clearing groups to fill your flasks, as long as you’re very careful, you could clear castle by castle and fort by fort.
Would probably be easiest if you cleared every dungeon to the boss room but didn’t fight them until more farmed.

Normally the frostbite debuff is more worth it than resting it to proc again, but the less damage you do the better resetting it becomes in comparison (since debug scales with your damage and proc scales with enemy HP).
No idea about when it becomes better to use fire though, can't tell if the torch does low enough damage for it to be worth it.
