My daughter 11 yrs old in middle school this year did her first track meets and she ran 16:15sec in 100m and 35sec in her 200m and she’s 5th grade, she running against girls up to 8th grade girls running 13-14 seconds my poor baby 😂 she don’t stand a chance. For her to qualify for state here in MA she need to run 14 sec. She has potential, she’s tall at 5ft5 at 11 yrs old so she’s built like an athlete for sure lol. And we are so proud of her. Lexi is awesome. Keep up the good work ❤
Alexa is like me when I used to play basketball she has everything in her and she’s great but sometimes the mental of it all is a lot. It’s great though that she has y’all as her support system once she gets over getting in her head nothing will stop her

Lexi is at a really odd stage for a hurdler. She is in that tweener stage where she has to learn to change her rhythm to match others. Something that will come with a lot of high level races but also- she is going to learn how to speed up. She gonna have to become a student of that game... Have you guys played with her hurdle spacing in practice to speed her rhythm up??
