Where? I donât see anything!
Now it is time to do all of the space shuttle launches: ALL OF THEM
Seems achievable in one video to me
*gasp* but he'd have to kll the kerbals for that!
137 shuttle flights in one video sounds fun

Yeah Buran
"Doctor, how would you say the patient doing after his stroke?"

Him almost smashing into the side of the crater was actually very similar to what happened on Apollo 11 when it almost landed near a crater in a very rocky spot.

I can totally see Matt narrating on the official SpaceX streams and going off on tangents about being an eye doctor, mentioning Curiosity Stream, self degrading comments about his commentary skills, dabbing on the SLS when Starship makes it to orbit. Seems like Elonâs vibe to be honest
I'd love to see that!!
Make it happen
Everyone @ elon on twitter
Looks like sls gonna fly first even Matt said that take that losership fans
Thatâd be perfect
I was more amused at Bob's Adventure In The Rover than I should have been.
The LEM made the circularisation burn with its RCS thrusters because the ascent engine could only be fired ones.
The ascent engine was hypergol fueled, there's no reason it couldn't be reignited. If I'm wrong, please correct me
Update: The ascent engine was rated for 10 ignitions but in the Apollo missions they only made one burn with it to get the LM into a 11 by 55 miles Orbit and then used the RCS thrusters to get it into a circular orbit.
@@maxspezialbauag9745 interesting, thanks for the info
I planned to do this, but unfortunately I was worried I'd run out of RCS so I just used the spark and hoped nobody would point this out lmao
A way to get around this problem is clipping smal monoprop tanks into the LM or putting a SAS weel below the dockingport so you don't need to waste monoprop on the attitude control.
"One small waddle for jeb, one giant stumble for kerbalkind"
I laughed out loud when your rover came flying into view. Well done sir haha.
20:34 "There's even a little crazy golf course, 18 holes!" That part made me actually laugh way to much.
I love the idea of cramming those two Kerbals into that tiny lander can and then drop the party bus right ontop of the to really rub it on :D
âBut apparently in the real world thereâs a thing called budget and common senseâ I dies laughing at that
Matt commentating real rocket launches would be brilliant! đ
There is a modpack called RO/RP-1 and RSS that you would love to use to recreate these vehicles as it has the actual engines used during the apollo program as well as gorgeous capsules and models which would fit with this playthrough perfectly, really cant recommend you to check it out enough!
Not completely sure, but I think he already stated he wasn't going to be using RSS
@@propellerpilot3313 why? It's great for showcasing real capsules and progression instead of vaguely trying to imitate it via stock parts
@@rocketman1104 But the idea is recreate the space race programs (my english sucks lol) with stock parts, with no parts mods. And you, i want his graphics mods, principally the engine fire mod
Ive been binge playing KSP recently because of my hype for KSP 2 and I have never really been good at it so I had to look up some tutorials for getting to other planets and thats when I came across your channel. Ive gotta say you are easily the most entertaining ksp youtuber ive seen and I already love your vids! Cant wait to see what awesome stuff you do in KSP 2!

Oh this will be the best! Apollo is my favorite!
Hey Matt I have been watching your vids and I just got ksp not too long ago. Is it possible you can show a tutorial on how to make a moon rocket and help me get to the moon as a beginner I would really appreciate it so I can feel accomplished in the game. Thank you!
Pretty sure he already made a guide!
Yeah just search Matt lowne mun mission or tutorial or smthn
he has a few just go through his channel
Thank you guys I appreciate it
Matt would tell you, Mun would be the *second* easiest first mission.
Minmus would be the easiest.
Reject Apollo return to n1 program!
For the nose cone adapter, I have found if you put the parachutes on the CM mk 3, just as you did in the video, then add the shroud with the parachutes clipped through, I find the parachutes will work after the shroud is deployed.
1:21 the best moment by far! đ apparently thereâs something called budget and âcommon senseâ
Will there be N1 recreation Matt?
Probally not bc it never had a success but maybe
He has done that. Twice. Once it was done with landing pods and was really ugly, then he used making history parts and rescued the everyday astronaut.
Im faster than my dad leaving
HAHAHA loved the rover surprise. Complete with dubstep! lol
Jeb leaving the LEM after re-entry to parachute to safety is pretty much how Yuri Gagarin got back after his first spaceflight. His capsule didn't have parachutes either, so he had to eject at 7km and land using his own personal chute. As a result, you can dunk on NASA once more, since you've managed to not only cram the Saturn IB test flight and LEM tests into one launch, you've also achieved it without any fancy-schmancy capsule chutes.
This is cool.
Challenge: Do this on the console version đ.
is anyone else thinking about how matt commited a kerbal sin by leaving the second stage of the lander in space
Love your video keep them up (:
I laughed so hard with the huge Lowne Hover coming down with the dubstep playing

I love the Saturn V and the starship heavy and the starship second stage and the lunar Lander and the lunar probe and the lunar model and the sea dragon and the Saturn 1b and your rover base a lot!
The fuckin massive lunar rover entry, coming outta nowhere jetisoning its retrothrusters like FUCK OUTTA HERE **BOOM** with the dubstep music in the background lmfao I'm dying
18:45 this actually sort of happened in the real Apollo 11 mission when the lunar lander almost landed inside of a crater.
20:14 Me during this entire thing: THAT DOESN'T COUNT! THAT. DOESNâT. COUNT!
This is great! I love recreating irl missions in ksp
Love watching the gforce meter redline as the escape system activates
What a nice way to start the Saturday
12:00 Jeb being an absolute chad by not being afraid of floating alone in the ocean at night. Thelassaphobia is a terrifying thing.
I have never EVER had the glitch you mention... and I use that part every time I use the Mk3_1 command module and ALWAYS put the parachutes in there... the only thing is that the staging must be sequential: you have to have a stage for the shroud, and then a stage for the parachutes...
I keep on watching this video because it's just so good can't wait for the next one
Matt: Dabbs on NASA by recreating and one-upping their missions in ksp
NASA: Responds by uploading a video where they recreate one of Matts missions to Jool in real life

the segment where he almost crashes the massive rover next to the lander looked so funny
Just got back from a day out on me boat fishing. up the river tamer out past the brakewater. Ring any bells Matt :-)
Between the dubstep on landing and the accidental trebuchet, I think that mission went excellently
I love the reverse attitude landing! đ
That waterfall mod is awesome!
Dude, the way you switch between live and not live Matt is flawless!
Matt lowne is the type of person to put mayo on a peanut butter and jelly to make sure it stays together
I'm so glad youtube gave me context for this, otherwise I would never have known which "Apollo Program" you were referencing. lol
Am kinda late but i really wanted to see something like this! Great job Matt!!
"One small waddle for Jeb, One giant stumble for kerbalkind."
-Jeb
the great Jedediah Armstrong once said âThatâs one small step for Kerbals, one giant mess for Kerbal kindâ after blowing up a moon colony
4:50 Because the Saturn 1 was a testing rocket to have the same functions of the Saturn V. The Saturn 1 demonstrated the Saturn Vâs stages and functions. If the Saturn 1 didnât exist, it would be okay to go with the Saturn IB, but if the Saturn IB didnât have testing beforehand, the rocket would have exploded or malfunctioned. So that is NASA had gone with the Saturn I before the Saturn IB.
You'll be glad to know that you did in fact put the craft file in the description. I checked.
THE ROVER! I laughed way too hard man đđđ
imagine being an Apollo crew member and seeing a huge skyscraper sized rover touch down next to your launch pad
Fun fact, you can actually re-entry Kerbals from orbit using the Eva packs to both slow down and de-orbit (you just point retrograde and press w), and then deploy the parachute.
Earlier LJ2 launches did have boilerplates but the last one did indeed have a real crew capsule on the top. It was one of the first Block 1s they made and it obviously didn't have a crew, but it was there!
Matt just be flexin on NASA with these videos lol
