Hey guys, nice to see you again! In this video, we will go through the story of Yoriichi Tsugikuni (Demon Slayer).
𝐘𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐢 𝐓𝐬𝐮𝐠𝐢𝐤𝐮𝐧𝐢 is a major supporting character in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He was a 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 of the Demon Slayer Corps nearly 500 years ago during the Sengoku Era.

Yes the ending was heart wrenching but no one's gonna talk about him coming home to find his wife and unborn child lying in a pool of blood and he held the corpse in agony for 10 days straight before letting go. That broke my heart into million pieces.

@@dominicc2941 I think the most likely possibility is that they do a prequel series after the current anime is finished. They can cover the origin of Muzan, the story of Yoriichi and maybe more former demon slayers and hashiras.
In the end, the Rengoku’s ancestor remains as one of his first and loyal companions, even when others shunned him.
That warms my heart.

@@myself2612 They were not part of Demon Slayer Corps. They were his friends from his early days since he left his home and started living with his girlfriend/wife. Sumiyoshi was his best friend/neighbour and kinda a second brother to him. Rengoku introduced and brought him to the Demon Slayer Corps. He is the first one to realise the breathing techniques in Yorrichi and inspired to teach others. He even kept all the records of Yorrichi and his Breathing techniques and passed it down to the future generations. He remained loyal to the end.

It is unbelievable that they erased all records about the one who gave the Demon Slayers breathing techniques. These techniques that became an essential weapon to all Slayers against Demons
So, the dude almost killed the demon boss who was unbeatable before this encounter, taught other slayers to be stronger, and taught them how to use breathing technics but they kicked him out and advised him to kill himself because his brother betrayed them. Yeah, accurate storytelling, very reasonable, very wise.
I mean technically people are fickle. Yoriichi's personality is quite a pushover, so I could imagine that he didn't protest any argument towards him. I think he himself feels like a failure as well. And although the reaction that was given to Yoirichi wasn't justified at all. I imagine it to be realistic since people are just like that. They needed someone to blame, an escapegoat because of all the grieve that Muzan has give to them.

Love how Yoriichi has had such a profound effect on Muzan in their first encounter, to the point where his very earrings still bring fear into him after several hundred years.
They both actually were scared of each other. Muzan feared yoriichi to death and muzan was the only demon against whom yoriichi felt fear for the first time in his life.

Such an amazing, but sad story. Imagine what the current Demon slayer world would’ve become if Yoriichi had been killed as a baby.
There likely won't be breathing techniques, but swordsmanship will exist and most importantly, due to the lack of Demon Slayer Corps (which will get destroyed) more people will know the existence of demons and hence newer and more weapons will be formed to destroy the demons, like Anti-Titan cannons in AOT, etc.

In my opinion,Muzan fight Yoriichi at his full power,because Yoriichi burned 1500/1800 pieces from Muzan's body,remaining only with suficient power to hide his scars and regenerate sun breathing wounds,so the pillars fought a weaker version of Muzan,nerfed by the sun god!
True plus he got weakened by tamayo's poison that made him age 50 every minute and the total was 9000 which is very very weak compared to hes prime when he fought yoriichi lol
it's been a long time since I finished the manga but personally, I don't think muzan didn't get that much weaker after he survived yoriichi, I mean, the last fight was centuries after yoriichi vs muzan happened and muzan had plenty of time to recover from the damages.I think it is more like a scar, that can't heal no matter how many humans he ate
@@isaka6361 Having scars that never managed to fully heal, despite being the progenitor of demons, proves that Muzan's body never reached it's original strength.
Muzan, however, definitely gained a lot more experience through the centuries, so it's safe to assume that whilst the Demon Slayers fought a much more physically weakened Muzan, they also fought a more experienced and intelligent one.

Yoroichis story is so powerful..I literally feel like crying listening to you narrate it.
What's funny is how they introduced Muzan as a terrifying final boss and made him be so ridiculously strong, and then there's this sweet simple man who destroyed him in just a few seconds.

That manga panel where Yoriichi holds the child of Sumiyoshi literally broke me. The man had lost everything and when he started crying after he saw the child laugh it was at that moment he let out all the pain he was holding in his life. Truly heartbreaking and I’m not ready for it to be animated knowing ufotable will make it 100x sadder 🥲

I am talking about Tanjuro Kamado not Yoriichi.
No one apart from Yoriichi was able to use the Sun breathing because they weren't strong enough, but, Tanjiro's dad was able to master it, even though he was sick.
And, he also had access to the see-through World.

Hinokami Kagura has a lot of unnecessary movements and motions in it which make it extremely taxing on the body to use in conjunction with Breathing Techniques - this was done I believe in order to replicate the style without the breathing.
This is, afaik, also why Tanjiro suffers such extreme backlash when he uses Hinokami Kagura the first few times.
that said, Tanjiro’s dad did beat the snot out of a wild ass animal with no formal demon slayer training, just Hinokami Kagura.

That's the beauty of this series is that in the end even some of those demons who became what they willingly became, in their final moments remembered who they were before and ask for forgiveness for Michikatsu and Yorichi's case it was that of envy Michikatsu wanted to be like Yorichi and may say he hated him but he really did care about his brother and as for Yorichi he was the younger twin who looked up to his brother and loved him no matter what. To see multiple sets of siblings and their connections is interesting some have similarities to each other but different paths the each takes

Yep, I you look at the exponential growth of tanjiro and the hashira after they unlocked their demon slayer mark, the transparent world and bright red nichirin blade, imagine if someone could develope at that rate from the moment they were born. Not to mention his feats, he basically one spotted two of the most powerful demons in the story, granted they were probably less powerful back then but we've only ever two other slayers one shot an upper moon when they got serious and one of them had yorichis blood in them.
