This Outline Effect works great on Meta Quest 2! (Free Unity Asset)

- In this video I cover an Outline Effect that I have found very useful in my own VR projects. It is the 'Quick Outline' asset by Chris Nolet.
It works great on the Meta Quest 2, which cannot be said of many other Outline Effect assets.

Great tutorial! Thank you!! I have a question. Which one do you think less expensive to outline in 100 of 2d image?
1. using the asset to outline the image
2. outline in photo editing software like paint, photoshop, etc and import them into unity
What is the difference between Hidden and All? Idk if its just me but I don't see much of a difference?

Thanks! It looks like it only supports URP or built-in render pipeline out of the box.
Does this make any hit on the performance?
I've not experienced any noticeable drop in performance, but I've always used the effect sparingly - 'outlining' at most maybe 6 objects at a time. Screen-space outline effects, however, do impact performance on the Quest 2 significantly.
Hey Ludic World, I have been trying to make this outline effect work on Quest 2 standalone (Android build) but does not work, even by following your tutorial carefully. Can you get back to me to check what can be improved ? Thank you !

@virtualwalkVR - this is fairly late responding but i also had issues running this on Quest 3 in Android standalone. the asset is fairly old and i suspect it's not been tested on newer headsets. also it appears the outline thickness is affected by camera distance. curious what solution you ended up with?
