Thanks for pointing me in right direction. PROBLEM SOLVED. I had no spark on coils from bank one. I checked fuses ing a and ing b, check power bank 1 coils (black and pink at computer side of harness), plugs wires, did a compression test, switched out coils with ones I had laying around. I finally came to conclusion that it was the wiring...so I checked power bank 1 coils (black and pink at computer side of harness) and had good voltage. Then I checked the continuities the from coil connector harness back to computer and the coil harness under the mount bracket....and all was good but still no spark!!
That's when I came across this video and decide to check continuity from black ground wire at coil harness back to ground connection at passenger side front head. At first I had continuity and then slowly it started to rise on and multi meter was showing resistance....well that's all I had to see and I tee tapped a new ground wire into the black ground of the computer side of the bank 1 coil harness and ran it back to the original ground on passenger left front head!!
It fired right up with all original parts( i put original coils back on) and laid down rubber on first test drive also blowing what was left of my bank one cat converter's internals all over the neighbor's curb. My Truck is a 2007 Silverado new style 4wd with 5.3l..and its never ran better!
    THANKS to ALL!

I appreciate this info. I have a 8.1 swapped into a 1978 F350 dually and I have the same problem. Got exhaust on the passenger side and nothing on the drivers side. I’m definitely trying the ground trick before I replace anything

Hey did you ever figure out what was wrong with it? I have the exact same issue and same side too. I put new intake gaskets, maf, TB, spark plugs, ignition wires, knock sensors, didn't want to spend the money on coils if they're good. I unplugged the driver side at the main harness for the coil packs and the truck ran the same so I have that whole side not working for sure. Any update or help would be appreciated

2008 Silverado 1500. 5.3 Having the same problem. South main Auto had a video about this. My Right bank 2,4,6,8 coils are not firing. Check at Harness connector at coil harness at top of engine. Pink wire -Hot Black -ground. His had no ground coming there. Back probed into that harness connector at ground and ran ground test wire with alligator clip to ground. . Ran great. He found bad ground eyelet below around power steering pump where the ground originates. Crusty ground pulled right out. He did repair all the ground wires in that eyelet and relocated the ground to a better place. That eyelet had both grounds to run both sides. Will find out tomorrow if that's my problem. Sounds reasonable. This seems to be the fastest fix ! also thanks for this video. It helps so many people like me!! Phil

07 New Body Style 1500 Silverado. I am experiencing a low pulsing Injector wire on the #3 injector. This is causing high ltft on bank 1 and Misfires. But, my misfire code is showing p0300 random misfire. Test was done with a noid light which showed a dimly lit noid light and inconsistent pulses on #3 wire. All other wires seemed to light up nicely with a consistent pulse. I recently did a cam swap with a BTR Torque Cam in the truck as well as valve springs and hardened push rods. My two thoughts are as it was my first time doing a cam swap maybe when I pulled the cam I was off on timing OR I have a short in injector wiring harness. I did remove timing cover again and checked that dots are lined up and they are perfect BUT that does not mean when I pulled it I had it right. Anyone else have any other thoughts? I think unfortunately my only choice may be to pull cam again make sure I am at tdc and start over.

Double check the ground on the back of the head. Use internal/external lock washers so it really "bites" into the block. Also make sure you have a good ground from the engine to the body.
The video you had when you pulled the engine saved me a ton of time not pulling my hood off! I would have never thought about using those extra holes for the hood springs🤘

I found mine. I had to replace the lifters originally. After reassembling everything 1 & 7 wouldn’t fire. Ended up being the lifters orientation absolutely matters for the oil hole. The tiny hole has to face the intake and not the exhaust manifold. Ripped it all back down. Rotated lifters around and now all is good 🤞

Check your main ECU harness ground on the passengers side. After a lot of different trouble shooting I just double checked the harness ground on the driver's side that goes to the back of the block and gave it a wiggle then it just broke off. I'm thinking yours is either loose or corroded with the rain effecting it. This weekend I'm going to terminate a new head on the ground and hoping for the best 🤞. Trace that ground and I think you will find your issue.
