    -------------------------------------------------
    Brief Summary of Elite Dangerous:
    Elite: Dangerous is a space adventure, trading, and combat simulator that is the fourth installment in the Elite video game series. Piloting a spaceship, the player explores a realistic 1:1 scale open world galaxy based on the real Milky Way, and the gameplay is open-ended. The game is the first in the series to feature massively multiplayer gameplay, with players' actions affecting the narrative story of the game's persistent universe, while also retaining single player options. It is the sequel to Frontier: First Encounters, the third game in the Elite series, released in 1995.
    Having been unable to agree to a funding deal with a publisher for many years, the developer began its Kickstarter campaign in November 2012. Pre-release versions of the game have been playable by backers since December 2013, and the game was released for Windows on 16 December 2014.

    I know this video is old and you probably learned alot about the game and elite's lore by now but PLEASE don't call yourself "best guide" if you don't even know "super cruise" is and you fly around with burst lasers.. You can get waaaaaaaay more money doing this if you do instance hopping and try to find an instance with bigger ships, of course your little aluminium eagle cannot compete against the big bois so get a vulture or at least a fully kitted viper..

    If you actually want to make money go to sothis and ceos for long range trade/ smuggle missions. I get about 25 mil a run in my anaconda. You can bounce around open, solo and private group. Each one of those will give you different missions. Get the good ones jump from sothis to ceos grab missions from there and then wait for the missions to reset (happens every hour) and grab what you can again untill your full.

    I went here, and got a 196,000 and a 186,000 bounty in less than 15 minutes. Thank you for this! The RNG gods were actually nice to me.
    Overall, almost a million. Though I had to bug out. Nearly got overwhelmed and barely escaped with 23% health left. Still got my bounties, so I'm happy. :)

    I haven't done the math on it, but I actually think I make more money smuggling. The thing is, I'm not JUST smuggling. I'm flying a cobra with a basic discovery scanner, gimballed multicannons on the medium hardpoints and gimballed burst lasers on the small hardpoints, with a kill warrant scanner paired to the lasers. I get interdicted on almost every run and submit, then turn and fight. In the middle of the fight I get off a scan, find all their warrants. Most times I win that fight (if it goes bad the cobra is fast enough for me to escape without a problem) and I get a bounty in addition to my smuggling run. I fuel scoop my star at the destination point and run a basic discovery scan by habit while scooping and waiting for pirates to find me. If I know my destination and origin points well enough I even pick up some legal trade goods to buffer my trip.
    I end up making money on the smuggled goods, the bounties I collect, the cartographic data in far enough separated systems, the legal trade goods I carry, and I save money on fuel with the scoop. My costs are a tiny amount of purchased fuel compared to what I burn as well as periodic reloading and repair costs, and then donation missions where I pay out money for goodwill wherever I'm at. It makes me eligible for better missions anyway.
    So I would recommend doing some of everything. It's less boring for one thing, but I'm also getting out and exploring the inhabited star systems naturally while I get paid to do it.

    This way is fun but I think the boring way is often more profitable, depending on your trading rank you often get 100.000 - 200.000 credits for smuggeling missions and can do them in around 8-16 min each depending where the drop off is

    I normally hunt in Kremainn. I got lucky the other day and managed to find a load of 300k bounty ships. Managed to get 1.2mil in about an hour. Usual run is about 600-800k in a hour.

  • @vincentgabriele2781
    @vincentgabriele2781 Před 8 lety

    Im in the imperial system and what your foing works very well for the system you are in. I hunt Anacondas and pythons and fur de lances and imperial clippers so my pay out is way higher. Where you make 300K in an hour, I get almost that off one kill. Obvioulsy the risks are way higher because of the bigger ships but my Viper MKIV with 2 400K dollar rail guns and 2 turreted burst/ pulse lasers shred these big ships. The system that I am in is the Gende system which like yours is very close to a extraction site. Actually the port is on the first moon orbiting the ringed planet so you can imagine how close it is to each other. Probibly a 3 min flight each way. This is just what I found makes the most money, again higher risk but much higher payout!!

  • @jopenope1016

    Currently running my optimized Viper MkIV, same area (next to RES with station under 15 Ls). I'm currently making between 800,000 to 1.3 million/hr focusing on high intensity and hazardous. Just be uber careful about who you target in hazardous, nobody is coming to save your hide!

  • @bo_unerro

  • @anthonykf99
    @anthonykf99 Před 8 lety +3

    I smuggle slaves and make around 1.5 million an hour... It's really easy, just get at least 16 cargo slots, and you are ready! doesn't matter the ship, as long as you have atleast 8 jump range. All you need to do is look for missions at stations that require you to smuggle slaves/drugs/weapons(They usually are skulls with arrows pointing right). Even if you can only find 1 of those missions at your station. They usually branch out to a lot as you do them, sooner or later you will have like 10 missions that give 100k each all over the place! Just do your own path, and keep doing them until you are bored.
    But be careful pirates will interdict you almost every time you jump to a different system. If you are in a hauler or type 6 try to avoid the interdiction. Also, another thing to be cautious about is you will have illicit cargo. You will usually see a little tab that says "Illicit cargo" above your fuel meter, that means if a cop scans you, you will be fined. So just be careful when docking, even though you don't need to worry that much, just dock like you usually do. If you do see yourself being scanned just accept it, no need for panic, you might crash into the station. I have only been fined once, 20k, for hauling 16 slaves for a battle arena... I make around 1.5m an hour if I keep it up!
    It's fun because you are essentially space truck diver that hauls illegal slaves and drugs! >:D
    TBH Bounty hunting at RES is a fun way, but I have found 250k an hour from bounty hunting like this is really, inefficient. Plus after awhile it gets repetitive, waiting for pirates to spawn, accidentally shooting cops, cops killing them too fast. Smuggling slaves for some reason never gets repetitive, even though it sounds boring.

    • @candiduscorvus
      @candiduscorvus Před 8 lety +1

      +John Doe That's a tradeoff. When you're smuggling the game sends pirates after you trying to intercept you and your cargo, and occasionally they can get the jump on you or it'll end up being an anaconda or something, and it's helpful to know in the fight that you don't necessarily have to win but just hold out long enough for the authorities to show up.
      And they scan you and probably fine you, but I'll take the fine over an insurance claim.

  • @adamplanefan
    @adamplanefan Před 9 lety

    This worked perfectly. From 50,000 cr to 1.5 *million* cr. I would also recommend taking on pythons. They often have bounties of 100,000 cr upwards

  • @ophegraven
    @ophegraven Před 8 lety

    I make money by trading, primarily. I take the highest paying trade related job available, and then buy commodities that will sell well at the target destination.. Once I arrive at the destination, I turn in the mission, and sell the rest of my cargo. I can easily make upwards of 250k credits in a single run of this, if the primary job pays well enough. I also like to take some commanders piloting combat ships with me as wingmen. They get a percentage of all the profit I make from the stations. All they gotta do is redeem their credits via the contacts tab, much like bounty hunting. Everybody makes loads of money, the combat pilots get to kill pirates along the way (racking bonus credits if the pirates have bounties on them), I get to fly a little easier. Win-win.

  • @HammyDribbler
    @HammyDribbler Před 9 lety

    I was trying this yesterday and found that it was still best to grab a warrant scanner and use it on the ships as they often had more than just the bounty from the current sector. Am I correct in thinking you would only get that additional bounty if you scanned them with the warrant scanner first? Hard to test.

  • @ZeroFilth
    @ZeroFilth Před 7 lety

    I can see this is pretty out of date so i'll leave this here - Kremainn sector is great for combat bounties - Wohler Station is right next to 3 or 4 mineral areas, most of them are high concentration, and there are tons of ships there to hunt down, however, it requires you to fly along some fed's so you can use them to kill enemies faster and easier, and you CAN run into Anacondas, though not that much. average of 800k per hour, more if you're smart! =)

      I typically see 2-3 mil an hour hunting in High Res. Back when my buddy was playing we'd see 6mil in a Haz Res with a Vulture wing. When the AI pilots had their abilities buffed it makes it very dangerous to play in a Haz Res alone so if you're playing alone High Res is where it's at.

    I made about 120,000 CR with one smuggling mission once and I was still a new player so there wasn't a special requirement or smthn like that on that mission :)
    I think smuggling is op right now, they probably will nerf it. So, I suggest everyone to abuse smuggling as much as you can before they nerf it and get them CR fast.
    I made about half a million in 3 hours just by smuggling stuff which is pretty easy when you get a viper or especially a cobra. You can both protect yourself and carry a lot of goods in a cobra. I have 32 T cargo space in my cobra and it's also a very very reliable combat ship when you spent your money on it. I can take out even NPC vultures with my cobra right now :) I have no problem taking out player viper or eagles either.
    My suggestion, get your sidewinder a cargo rack upgrade, do lots and lots of smuggling and then go for a viper asap and do some upgrades on it. When you have around 700,000 credits then sell your viper and getyourself a cobra and go all out on it with the upgrades. Spend everything on that cobra and make it perfect. Believe me life will be a lot more easier after that point :)

    I like the video, but it seems a bit dated. Whenever I'm F2F with a Cobra, and I fire, they typically fire back and with a slightly higher DPS. May be an artifact of 1.3 being out now and RES having more aggressive AI.
    Think you can make an updated one if you have time, kind of go with an hour or so in an Eagle and see what you can come up with in relation to your current balance? Also, I didn't see the Internals screen on Outfitting in this vid. Thanks in advance, and keep up the great vids!

Slip in a few bounties whenever I pull wanted ships or get pulled out of super-cruise by wanted ships and you're looking at about 700-800k in about 30 to 45 minutes (depending on the bounties of course) it can get tedious and hard to find good work at times, but man it pays good money.

    Now I trade with Type 7 with 216T cargo space and earn around 400 000 CR in 10 min... it is boring as hell but the profit is (^^) nice

      Geks YT If the big ships don't spawn, simply jump out into SC and back in again. This causes the game to reload the instance and increases the chance of the meaty targets appearing.

    Best way to take out a ship, just "auto-pilot" the target, and you follow that ship automatic, so you can focus more on shooting him... when target been destroyed, the auto-pilot will be disabled, than go after the next target and turn auto-pilot back on...

    • @willembudde7512
      @willembudde7512 Před 9 lety +1

      ***** Simple mate, click on target(enemy plane) than activate auto-pilot to follow that plane where ever he goes, included fast or slow), only bad thing, which it happens me, when he flee(going in hyperspace) you go with him, and who knows where you ended :(
      I played Elite Gold in 1989, it was able to lock(auto pilot) the target... hopefully they still have it... :D go try it

      Press T button = select target, than press Z for "flight assist"....
      THE AUTOPILOT
      This most useful device, although not usually fitted as standard, has been
      included with your Eagle. It can be bought and fitted at a shipyard if
      ever you need another one. Your Autopilot, the Robocruise automatic
      navigation system, superseded the Celestial Pathfinder which was less
      reliable.
      The Autopilot can only be used to select a destination in the system
      through which you are currently travelling. For longer journeys, a
      hyperspace jump needs to be made
      OPERATING AUTOPILOT IN VIEW MODE
      The Autopilot can only be used when in flight.
      Whilst in a View mode (use the View icon F1 if you are in another mode),
      target a planet or space station which is on the screen by clicking on the
      centre of the target Note that you will find it easier to find a target,
      for example, a city, if the name is on screen. If names have been turned
      off, select the Identification Text icon F10.
      Clicking where there is no potential target deselects any previously
      selected target.
      When a target is selected a sight will come up with targeting squares and
      the range in astronomical units or kilometres (Fig 38). If the target goes
      off the screen an arrow will appear pointing in its direction. If it is
      behind then Target Behind is displayed.
      Use the Flight Control icon F7 and cycle through Manual and Engines Off
      to Autopiiot.
      The Autopilot icon will only appear if a target is selected.
      OPERATING AUTOPILOT IN CURRENT SYSTEM MAP MODE
      This mode can be used when the desired destination is too far away to be
      visible. A target can be selected even while landed or docked but the
      Autopilot can only be engaged while in flight.
      Use the Map icon F2 twice to obtain the Current System map.
      Use the Current System map controls until yon can see the desired
      destination on the screen
      Click on the Targeting icon F10.
      Click on the centre of the desired destination (Fig 39).

    • @ArtificiallyIntelligent
      @ArtificiallyIntelligent  Před 9 lety

      John Chadwick I started with very little upgrades. It really is all about power management, I would say 90% of the dogfights I don't get shot at even one time. It just takes time to get used to the combat mechanics of AI ships. Just keep shifting power to engines and stay behind the ship, never trade shots because you will loose a heads up fight in an Eagle. You have to use the mobility of your ship and stay behind the opponent to win. With that being said, I did eventually upgrade my power distributer and weapons but I don't think I have upgraded shields at all. Hope that helps a little.

    I am doing a Rares trade circuit run. Make on avg 500k Cred per run (approx 1 hour) and a complete round, 2 runs, is usually 1mil+ creds. Of course I am not engaging in combat, so while the creds are better it might not be something you'd enjoy.
