    Purchased our first one in a 380 for my girlfriend. Wanted a little extra bling so we went with the one from the custom shop. My hands are bad enough that I couldn’t make the palm safety work on the ez but the custom shop one has a bigger palm safety! I was able to work hers fine. Just received my 9 mm from the custom shop and absolutely love it!!! For people with severe arthritis it’s a must! Highly recommend!!!

    I'm 56 years old. I made my very first firearm purchase today. Due to a lack of hand strength and an issue with my left shoulder, selecting the EZ was a no Brainer.
    Due to laws and regulations I was not able to bring the weapon home today. I look forward to watching more videos to learn all I need to know about my firearm.

      I’m 58 and also have limited hand strength. I got the EZ in 380 and love it…it’s everybody’s favorite to shoot when I take it to the range…these guns are a pure pleasure.

    PEZ dispenser! That’s exactly how I described it lol. I just ordered this gun - thought I wanted the 380 but couldn’t find it anywhere so got the 9mm. Glad to see this positive review as I was nervous about the slide on the 9 not being as easy as the 380. Thank you!

    Watched this after I got one. I did not pay attention on the break down instructions. I totally messed that up. I thought it broke down like most other guns. Big time wrong. You nailed it on exactly what you need to do. Any one reading this please pay attention. Do not grip that grip safety. It is such a natural way to hold the gun that can easily be overlooked. Same thing with the spring. Has to be inserted exactly like this young lady said. If you don’t the ez pistol turns into a nightmare. I know. I did not and it was hell to get it back together. Great instruction !

    thank you for the size comparison with the glock 42! sometimes just going off of the measurements you see online, it's hard to picture the difference in size and I was specifically looking for the size comparison between those two pistols.

    Thorough review, thanks.
    In my opinion, you don't have to have weak hand strength or be a new shooter to enjoy the more pleasant experience of shooting the EZ models.
    I've carried a gen 1 shield for several years, but I like shooting the ez more, and have no problems with hand strength. Both are great choices for every level of shooter.

      I'm using a Holosun 507K. I ended up buying one to try out on a CZ and loved it. The battery lasts forever it seems, and the sight picture is pretty comparable to the more high dollar RMRs. I definitely recommend it if you're on a budget. Best bang for your buck. Sig recently came out with a new one also, the romeo zero. I haven't personally tried it out yet, but it's been getting good reviews.

    Why is it a “beginner” pistol? It shoots as well as other high quality pistols. The fact that the slide is easy to rack does not make it a beginner gun.

    • @bearitallarmstraining8295
      @bearitallarmstraining8295  Před 4 lety +4

      It's not so much due to how it shoots. It's considered a beginner pistol because of it's ease of use, and plethora of safety features. It's great for any shooter at any skill level, and S&W even offer a performance center version. I should have pointed that out in the video. I'm still new at reviews and try to research them quite a bit before creating the videos.

      I agree. I have several handguns including two other 9s and I just bought an EZ9. It goes “bang” and sends a 9mm bullet where I point it, the same as my Walther and Sig. “Beginner” sounds like a toy. It’s hardly that.

    • @bearitallarmstraining8295
      @bearitallarmstraining8295  Před 11 měsíci +1

      I’m a panicked situation, it’s common to death grip the pistol. so I wouldn’t be extremely concerned about it. On the other hand I tend to have a lighter grip when I shoot and have found it to be a bit irritating when it doesn’t engage. I have to make a conscious effort to remember to squeeze more firm than with my other pistols.

    Considering this as being my first handgun purchase on my 21st birthday. I just want this because I think it looks great, and would fit my hands perfectly. I do grip train, so it should be very easy to operate

      @bearitallarmstraining8295  Před 4 lety +2

      I’d like to but they wouldn’t be a good comparison as they are directed towards a different group and skill level of shooters. The EZ is directed towards people with weak hand strength and new shooters. The cz’s are more shoot in any condition and for completion.

  • @lonestarmac1826
    @lonestarmac1826 Před rokem

    Great review, but in my experience the EZ that I bought for my wife is great for the range, great to practice for a new shooter, accurate, and is in fact easy to use but I can not recomend it as an edc due to its unreliability. It jams OFTEN and the best I can tell it’s due to the reduced recoil spring that it has to make racking the slide easier. I can put my GLOCK or Beretta 92 in my wife’s hand and never get a failure to feed but with the ez it’s an issue with nearly every mag.

    • @wizardofahhhs759
      @wizardofahhhs759 Před 11 měsíci

      She's prolly not gripping the gun tight enough, a proper grip is essential for the pistol to operate properly.

    • @lonestarmac1826
      @lonestarmac1826 Před 11 měsíci

      That was the first thing I checked and she was fine. My wife is pretty handy with firearms. I did some work on the mags and it helped a bit, but there is still the occasional random failure. The bottom line is that my wife likes the firearm, and the ease of use gets her out to the range more, so it's a good thing, but I stand by my observation that it is not as reliable as the standard MP or GLOCK. It's simple physics.....the recoil spring that makes it easier to rack, also makes it slightly less reliable. @@wizardofahhhs759

  • @johnman7251
    @johnman7251 Před 3 lety +1

    Newbie question here: why is this not a “competition” gun? Are there no categories for production guns of this type or does it have to do with accuracy, barrel length, etc.?

    • @bearitallarmstraining8295
      @bearitallarmstraining8295  Před 3 lety

      It could be used in competition if you want to. it’s just not optimal. It has a lot of safety features that make it less optimal for competitive use. That and depending upon which competition you’re doing, longer barrels and higher round counts are more desired. I’m sure there’s a competition out there that it would be good for. I’m just not up on all the different competitions that it would be good for. there’s an every day carry competition that it would be good for but I’m not sure what states offer it, etc..

    I wondering, would you consider putting a side by side comparison of the performance center 9mm ez to the equalizer 9mm smith an wesson, I'd like to know what your thoughts between the two an how they performed, thinking of getting a equalizer cause of more round capacity for a carry gun,but I love my ez simply easy to reload without a loader by hand quickly an love the trigger on it an shoots well,however I can't seem to put a optic on the slide of my ez where as on the equalizer it's ready to be mounted.
