    I has trouble removing the retaining clip at 1:36. I realised i was doing it wrong. So you push in the metal clip and at the same time pull the block upwards (i was trying to pull out the block backwards).

    It seems I may have to use this to access the fuse for the rear widscreen demister fuse - that white box under the headlight is the 3rd fuse box where it's located I believe?
    If ScrewsNutsAndBolts sees this: have you gone as far as replacing the front cross member on the K12? It looks like I have to do soon :-/

    • @screwsnutsandbolts
      @screwsnutsandbolts  Před rokem

      Yes that's where they've placed the 3rd fuse box, for some reason !. It's unlikely that I'll be replacing the cross member I'm afraid. If I do I'll let you know asap

    Do you have a guide to adjust the electric motors on new headlights

  • @BLAXAMUXA
    @BLAXAMUXA Před rokem +3

    The removal should be done only if you need access the fuse box under the headlight. Bulbs are easily changed w/o removal of a headlight.

    • @Reuben.Aotearoa
      @Reuben.Aotearoa Před 9 měsíci

      I disagree. Especially if you have fat hands and/or an Autech model which uses a different type of bulb. But it’s so quick and easy to loosen up the light and makes the job so much quicker and easier… there’s no real reason not to.

  • @chmartin444
    @chmartin444 Před rokem

    How did you transfer the little unit box onto the new light

    • @screwsnutsandbolts
      @screwsnutsandbolts  Před rokem

      According to the manual, the adjuster motor is integral with the headlight unit and is not available separately.

    Any reason why the last wiring connector would be so difficult to remove? Mine just won't release. 4 mins 50 sec in your video.

    • @screwsnutsandbolts
      @screwsnutsandbolts  Před 2 lety +1

      They can just get stuck onto the back of the bulb. Just keep wiggling it back and forth and it should eventually come off. Try not not use too much force though or you could damage the bulb holder. I had the same issue myself and I wanted to get a sledge hammer to it ! lol

    Do you have one for the rear light?

  • @TwoUpTourer
    @TwoUpTourer Před rokem +1

    This is not correct for Australian viewers. For some reason the bulb is an H11, and there is no rear rubber boot, but a clip on cap, and the bulb itself has 2 retaining screws, not a spring as used in the H4. With minimal access, the only way I found was to remove the whole headlight. The hidden 3rd bolt can be accessed, with difficulty, via the wheel arch if you bend the black plastic downwards and wiggle your hand and a 10mm socket. Crap design!!!

    • @screwsnutsandbolts
      @screwsnutsandbolts  Před rokem

      Yeah it's not the easiest, considering it's something that needs to be done periodically. I assumed the design would be the same on every K12 Micra !
