Thank you, I've just change the main light all by myself with zero experience in mechanical things ☺️ such a joy and so easy thanks to your detailed explanation 😌🤗🙏🏻

Done. Now let's see how long it lasts. Thanks a lot.
Ps. Wiggle wiggle is an understatement (I wiggled wiggled - and cursed - for 10 minutes).

You're right it is a pain in the butt and if your lamp failed at night out in the middle of nowhere it would be impossible to change it in the dark. I always carry a torch and a spare lamp "just in case" ;) I've got a Micra 160SR (1.6 litre) and it's a bugger to work on! Replaced the drive belt last week and that's a wheel off, remove wheel arch liner, loosen the bumper corner, remove headlight remove slam panel (to get access to the alternator ) absolutely crazy shit mate! I put it all back together and the "chirping" noise is still there so it's obviously an idler pulley, alternator pulley or air con pulley and not the drive belt.... argh!!!! My own stupid fault for "assuming" it was a worn drive belt. When I had the drive belt off I should have checked all of the pulley bearings....oh well lesson well learnt, never "assume" it's what you think is obvious..... When you've stripped down ALWAYS check the pulleys for free play / noise etc. Looks like this weekend will be spent going over it all again. Back on topic, regarding the lamps, I replaced all of them when I had the driver's side headlight out. Whereabouts on the planet are you guys? I'm up in the far North of Scotland (as far North as you can get) but if I am ever down South and need some work done I will be sure to make a point of popping in.
    Best regards, Mike.

The First light, the side light Is a right pain in the ass to put back in. The space is minimal if you have a regular sized hand 🤬
