My 2024 LTZ with the 6.6 gas with Allison, I just look out the window not at fuel mileage, gets better fuel mileage than my trail boss so I’m more than happy
Congrats on the truck! For the first 500 miles I didn’t do any hard accelerations like more that 50% throttle , and I did the first oil change at 1,000 miles. When I was breaking it in the fuel mileage was averaging about 13.5 and now I’m at 19,000 miles and I’m getting 15.5 everyday going back and fourth to work. No interstate miles in my daily drive either. Also I do not have any oil consumption either , I change oil every 4-5 k miles using exactly what the owners manual recommends and AC delco filter. Good luck to you sir!czcams.com/video/B56XvQ0RlBk/video.html
I assume you truck has the 10 speed transmission? What rear gear? Your truck is a California truck , is there any differences there. I’m in Indiana. My truck has the 6 speed transmission with the only gear option available for the gas truck , a 373. Mine was definitely worse when it was new , but was never that bad. Your opinion of a heavy foot and mine may differ so ? Idk
I would consistently get 18mpg with the Ford 7.3 without really trying. The 6.6 is indeed a hog but I think this stems from the 6 speed it was unfortunately saddled with for a few years. 2024 model is gonna be pretty competitive I think.
2024 High Country. 17.7 - 19 highway mileage with 1500-1800 on odometer. (at 65 mph)

@@michaellecount8510 thanks for info. It just came in today
I average about 13.9
My question is does it burn oil like I read on other channels?
I have not had that issue, I’ve never had to add oil between oil changes.

I disagree sir. I drive in Los Ángeles.
Am at 9.0 MPG on the street in my 2024 gas. No heavy foot. Could it be because it’s brand new??
